Quietkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Crowstar called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather here for a clan meeting!"

Quietkit poked his head out of the nursery, whiskers twitching. Today was finally the day... He was now larger, a sleek-furred tom, thin for his age, but with sparkling eyes. The kit trotted gracefully towards a spot amongst the gathering cats, licking his fur clean.

"Today we are gathered to name another apprentice." The leader said. "Quietkit please come forward." Crowstar waited for the kit to come forward. "Quietkit from this moment on, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Quietpaw. Your mentor will be Storm that Lights the Clouds." The leader knew the tribe ct was trying to integrate himself more into Clan life, and this was a perfectly good chance of doing so.

Through the heart-fluttering pride, the newly named apprentice staggered, unsure. He looked up at the leader, then back in the crowd. Quietpaw had heard many stories of the tribe cats and how some of them remained within SkyClan, but being mentored by one of them felt so odd. Still, he was used to be the odd one out. And all that mattered was finally joining Drizzlepaw in the new den. Lowering his head in respect, the gray-furred apprentice touched noses with his new mentor.
