Graykit's Apprentice Ceremony

Crowstar called out to his clan, "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather here for a clan meeting!" Another apprentice for Skyclan, this was exciting.

Graykit wasn't paying attention, as usual, oblivious to the fact that it was her ceremony. She was running in circles around the largest rock in camp, trying to see how many times she could dash around it before the cloud above her drifted by. The other kits thought she was strange- they far preferred climbing and jumping to running. But something about it felt right to the young tabby- and she enjoyed doing it, do she did. Crowstar's yowl startled her enough that she stopped running. For a !moment she wondered why the large, foreboding black tom was calling a summons, and she looked up at him sitting on his perch. Almost immediately, however, her dreamy blue gaze slipped away, focusing instead on the clouds behind him. The pretty, fluffy clouds... they reminded her of her mother's soft, warm pelt. The daydreaming kit sat down, paying no attention whatsoever to Crowstar- not for any maliciousness or stubbornness, but just her personality.

"Graykit you have reached the age of six moons. From this moment on, until you earn your warrior name you will be known as Graypaw. Your mentor will be Moonlight. I hope she passes all that she knows on to you." The leader said before jumping down to end the ceremony.

Focused completely on the clouds, Graykit was in her own little world... until she heard her name, and suddenly came crashing back to earth. "Huh? What?" Her head whipped around wildly, worried that some warrior was chastising her again, until her eyes finally locked on Crowstar. He was saying something about an apprentice...? Ohhhhhh! It's my ceremony! Oh, StarClan... was I supposed to do something?! Umm... Panicking slightly, the newly named Graypaw looked around frantically until she saw a experienced-looking warrior she-cat step out of the crowd, looking around expectantly. The gray tabby ran up to the warrior she-cat before tentatively touching her nose with her own. "Um... What was your name again?" she asked sheepishly, looking into her newly named mentor's eyes.
