February’s Gathering 2018

Rosepaw slipped into the clearing, her red pelt usually stood out a lot so she stayed in the back of the large group of cats. It was her first gathering- she felt proud to be here with her clans and the other clans. Her eyes wandered from her own paws to the leader's who have already arrived, and to their deputies. Her interest grew as her eyes fell on a certain tom, she didn't know who he was, but a certain familiarity knawed at her mind the more she stared at him the more she thought she recognized him from somewhere. No, that could not be true. No one knew who she was, well.. not a lot of cats at least. But soon enough more cats entered the clearing, and she got caught up in the chatter of another group of felines. Sometimes she wished she would have someone to talk to, but alas, no one heard her prays for socialization.

Duckpuddle streamed in with the other RiverClan cats that had come to the Gathering. She didn't feel like being here, especially not while they were in the presence of ThunderClan. WindClan also made her feel uneasy, considering that they were allies with RiverClan's current arch enemy. The brown warrior had no clue how to feel about ShadowClan and SkyClan... she saw them as neutral in her eyes. No matter how she felt, she couldn't act like a grumpy kit tonight. She did notice Stormpaw over near WindClan was sitting, but she didn't bother to head over and say hello. She couldn't get herself in too deep. That Clan had sided with the enemy, and WindClan would probably be joining ThunderClan to go against RiverClan. That meant that Stormpaw and Duckpuddle would end up having to face off, probably.  Wincing a bit due to her stiff leg, the she-cat sat down towards the back of the crowd of RiverClan cats.

Dovepaw padded into Fourtrees beside her mother, Brindlewhisker, with an eager and excited glimmer in her eyes. All Dovepaw knew was that RiverClan was bad, and WindClan was allied with ThunderClan. The she-cat made a silent promise to herself to throw a sharp remark at any RiverClan apprentices that she crossed paths with. On the subject of apprentices, the gray tabby she-cat began to think about Wolfpaw. Well, Wolfkit, now. She didn't feel sorry that the tom was stuck in camp. He deserved it. Once he was able to return to his apprentice duties, Dovepaw was going to give him a hard time. However, now was about the Gathering, not Wolfkit. The she-cat glanced around with a slight smirk on her muzzle. There were so many cats here, and an extroverted cat like her enjoyed it a lot. Now, she just had to find a cat to talk to. There was a tom sitting with SkyClan and not saying a word, and the gray apprentice couldn't help but wonder why he was being so antisocial. This was a Gathering, after all! Bouncing over to Silentpaw, Dovepaw put on a quick smile.
"Hey!" She greeted the SkyClan apprentice, "Why are you being so quiet and sitting alone?"

He was there. This was his second Gathering, so he wasn't as excited as last time. His roleplayer, Harlem, just wrote two paragraphs with a lack of muse so she'll edit this later.

Mallowbrook arrived with Skyclan as a new warrior she held her head high as she sat down. The warrior waited for the other clans to arrive.

Blazingpaw entered with Skyclan, happy to be at his second gathering. The apprentice wanted to speak with some peers.

Scorchpaw followed the other RiverClan cats into the clearing. He could smell the other cats before he even saw them, and he wrinkled his nose in irritation at the unfamiliar scents. It seemed that some of the clans had not yet arrived, but already so many cats were gathered. For a moment upon entering the clearing, the tabby apprentice was too stunned to move, his green eyes wide. He had been an apprentice for quite some time now, but this was actually his first gathering. His awe lasted only a moment, however. Some cat behind him snapped at him to get moving, and he was snapped out of his daze and back to reality. ThunderClan was RiverClan's enemy, and WindClan was ThunderClan's ally. Reminding himself once more of that fact, Scorchpaw made his way over to where some of his clanmates were and sat down beside them. He had never been a cat who liked talking to others, and with the current situation with ThunderClan, he had even less of a desire to talk with the cats of the other clans.

Sticking close to her clanmates, Tigerpaw made her way into Fourtrees. There were so many cats currently gathered that it actually felt a little overwhelming to her. The unfamiliar scents of river and moorland were mixed together in the air, scents she assumed must belong to RiverClan and WindClan. Thoughts of going to mingle with the other clan cats occurred to her, but the SkyClan apprentice did not really feel like doing so. I don't really want to embarrass myself talking to other cats... It would be best to just find an obscure spot behind her clanmates and sit down. Yet at the same time, she couldn't help but feel that doing so would be a pity. This was a gathering after all. In the end, she decided to sit down a little distance away from her clanmates. Not too far, but not too close either. She wondered if anyone would come over to talk to her.

Rosepaw looked around, waiting for the leader's and everyone to show up was kind of boring. And if Nectarleap had taught her anything, it was to not just wait for things to happen, you had to do things yourself. She looked around- trying to find an apprentice around her that she could talk to. And then an unfamiliar scent wafted into her direction, which caught her attention immediately. Her eyes darted from left to right trying to pinpoint it, but it seemed to be everywhere. There was one cat who was close enough that they smelled great of it. "Hello there," she began to speak to the apprentice whom she did not know at all. The aloof tone she held in her voice was not really quiet but not loud either, kind of like the direct median of the two. "My name is Rosepaw, who are you?" she asked, smiling kindly. Yes! She had done it! She actually talked to someone she didn't know! In her mind, Rosepaw was super happy and congratulating herself, while on the outside she held an easy figure and a calm facial expression.

Rippedsky followed Crowstar in a sat down at the base of the rock. He will probably start a conversation with Jaystream.

Mumblepaw looked for Bonestrike.

Coyotefang stayed close to Sharptooth, but said nothing. Anti-social as heck

swirlpaw snuck into the gathering not looking at anyone. she didn't know most of these cats and was freaked out. she came because russetpelt said it was important. she sat down in the middle of cats and waited.

Blizzardstar took a deep breath before stepping into Fourtrees with her clan behind her. She still was a bit touched by the whole issue regarding Fawnsong and Rowanpaw’s murders, but she tried to not let it show as she hopped onto the Great Rock and politely greeted the other leaders.

She was just hoping things would start to look brighter for them from now on.

Following Leopardclaw and Blizzardstar into the gathering, Dustcloud looked around, searching for Rowantalon in the crowd. Unfortunately, it seemed liked ShadowClan wasn't there yet, so she continued on, sitting by herself near the edge of Fourtrees. Ivystar was already on top of the rock, along with Ashstar and Crowstar as well. Her blue eyes scanned the clearing for anyone else she might want to talk to, but as always, she was disappointed.

Swiftpaw came and sat down near the front.

Emberheart was tense as she made her way into the Gathering, looking around warily and sitting near her Clanmates. The tensions between ThunderClan and RiverClan made her uneasy, but she was trying her best to look confident. A look that noticeably conflicted with the fact that she kept swivelling her head around to take in the clearing, so whether it worked at all was anyone's guess.

Wildpaw trotted beside Newtpaw into the clearing, running off to go find someone to bother.

Newttongue padded and sat down in a less crowded area, curling his thick tail around his paws as he watched others greet friends. He hoped things would go smoothly but it seemed like it wasn't going to happen.

Birchheart quietly padded into the clearing, sitting far from anyone else. She just wanted some time to think and listen to the leaders.

Heatherpetal entered after her Clan, making her way over to her mate and sitting down next to her. She fluffed up her short fur against the cold night air. "I'm really worried, Emberheart. What if the truce is broken tonight? There's been so much code-breaking lately, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a fight broke out..."

"Let's hope it doesn't come to that," Emberheart whispered, trying to shake off those very worries. "I don't think anyone wants to risk the wrath of StarClan, at least... I hope not."

"Hello there. My name is Rosepaw, who are you?"

At the unfamiliar voice that suddenly sounded by her side, Tigerpaw jumped and hastily turned around. A reddish-brown she-cat was standing there, looking at her with a somewhat friendly expression on her face. It took Tigerpaw a few moments to reply, for she did not know if the words she had heard were directed at her. "Uh, my name is Tigerpaw." She said, a little slowly. Having said that, Tigerpaw stared at Rosepaw, not knowing what else to do. A moment of awkward silence passed. Okay, I need to say something else. The striped apprentice thought to herself. "It's...nice to meet you?" Her words came out sounding more like a question than a statement, but hey, it worked.
