A Little Training For A Daisy {Closed}

Tonight was the night of Littlebrook's son's first training session, so with a flick of her tail, she made her way over to Daisypaw. "Are you ready, son?" She purred warmly, looking down at the cat before her. He was growing so fast, and her heart was so full, that she was almost emotional. Daisypaw was her first kit with Mudfoot, and she couldn't have been more prouder of the cat he was becoming. He had a fiery little personality that brought him some trouble, but amusement for her.

IC: Standing next to his mother, Daisypaw puffed out his chest fur proudly when she spoke. "I'm always ready," the white and ginger colored tom mewed with a grin of ambitious excitement on his muzzle. He couldn't wait to get his training over with and become the greatest warrior in ShadowClan like his mother and father.

Littlebrook smiled at her son's response, flicking her tail over his ear affectionately. "Okay, Daisypaw, then let's go." She purred as she headed out into the territory. She'd first give him a tour around the borders, while probably giving a few lessons on the way. "What do you want to learn first? Besides fighting. That's for another day." She laughed. Almost all apprentices wanted to learn fighting moves on the first day, but battle practice always took up most of the day and there was more on their agenda. "If you have any questions at any time, don't be afraid to ask." She told her son with a glance over her shoulder.

IC: Listening to his mother, Daisypaw found himself a bit disappointed when she said no fighting, but he shook the thoughts away, deciding not to dwell on it. "How about we patrol the borders to make sure no other clan mousebrains are crossing it," he mewed as the two of them walked onward. The tom's white and ginger colored fur puffed up at the thought of catching some-cat trying to cross the border. If he ever did, he'd make sure they didn't forget the code every again.

Littlebrook bobbed her head in approval at her kit's suggestion. "Perfect. Let's head towards ThunderClan since they're closer." She divulged, flicking her tail over his nose in a gentle cuff. "We don't want a fight, especially in Leafbare. Do you understand?" She meowed, her tone serious. "That being said, if we see a patrol, let me do the speaking." She clarified as they continued their walk to the Thunderpath. Though she spoke with caution, the amused expression never left her features. Most apprentices were eager to fight for their clan, which was great, but it was knowing when to fight and when not to fight that they needed to learn.

Letting out a soft huff when she cuffed the top of his nose, Daisypaw listened to his mother and found himself slightly disappointed once more when she said to let her do the speaking, but he nodded in agreement. The last thing he wanted to do was disappoint his mother and knew obeying her was the best thing to do, even though it was that last thing he wanted to do. "I understand," the ginger and white tom mewed with a smile. He couldn't wait to see what the Thunderpath border looked like for himself since he'd heard so much about it back at camp.

ic; Littlebrook smiled approvingly at his immediate compliance, though she was sure he didn't want to. It showed her that he was growing to be a respectful young tom. Soon, they approached the Thunderpath and were immediately bombarded with the sharp, acrid smell of the toxic black rock. "Stay close to me, Daisypaw. The Thunderpath is extremely and I don't want you any nearer to it than you need to be." She instructed closely before flicking her tail across the Thunderpath. "You see over there on the otherside? That's ThunderClan territory." She conveyed loudly over the deafening roar of a monster. After waiting several more moments for the thunderous contraptions for leave, she continued. "And if you focus real closely, you can scent them too. It's kind of rank foresty squirrel smell." She meowed, screwing her nose up as she thought of a way to describe the other clan's scent.

IC: Slowing his paws to a halt, Daisypaw looked in awe at the path, marveled by the structure, but the horrible scent quickly hit him. Wrinkling his nose, he couldn't let out a cough of disgust. The scent was horrible, how could Twolegs be such gruesome creatures?

Turning his head and listening to Littlebrook, he pinned his ears back as a monster roared by, just barely catching what she'd said. Once the monster zoomed away, the young tom turned to look back across the hot, black, rock. So that's what the ThunderClan territory looked like. It was just as he'd imagined, with trees, different than those of ShadowClan, blanketing the land.

Sniffing the air, he tried to pinpoint their scent over the Thunderpath's, and after a few moments of trying as hard as he could to drown out the path's overwhelming smell, he caught a whiff of what his mother said about the squirrel scent. "You're right!" he exclaimed, excited that he knew what she was talking about now. While ShadowClan occasionally hunted squirrels, no cat really enjoyed the chewy, fuzzy taste of the jumpy varmints.

"Do we ever fight with ThunderClan?" Daisypaw asked the she-cat, curious if the two clans had anything in particular against each other, like most clans did.
