Tawneykit's Apprentice Ceremony

Crowstar called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather here for a clan meeting!"

Tawneykit jumped with a start when she heard the call to meet. Out of the nursery door she ran, but once she hit the camp she slowed to a fast walk, she did not want to seem over eager. She sat and laid her tail over her tiny paws. The multicolored cat's ear roamed around the camp and at the entrances of the nursery and apprentice den to see if the rest of her family would be joining her for this special occasion.

Dandeliondapple made her way out of the nursery in a calm manner, hardly containing her own excitement for her only daughter.

"Tawneykit you have reached the age of six moons, and now it is time for you to become an apprentice. From this moment on, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Tawneypaw. Your mentor will be Dandeliondapple." A mother teaching her kit wouldn't be too bad. He was certain it would go well.

Breathe, Dandeliondapple, breathe... oh who was she kidding! Her daughter was an apprentice and SHE got to show her the ropes! Happily, she made her way to Tawnypaw to touch noses with her.
