The Fox jumped away with from the she-cat a growl. It had many deep wounds that stung. It was weak but it wasn't going to let the cats get away unharmed. It let out an intimidating growl before launching itself beside the Shadowclan tom and grabbing him by the scruff. It shook him around with force, almost tearing the cat's flesh from his body. It threw him to one side and focused its sights on the she-cat as it waited for her to make a move.

Crowfur let out a yowl of suprise when the fox sprang in his direction. He whimpered in pain as it grabbed him by the scruff and shook him. He felt dizzy and he didn't know right from left. He felt it let go and the warrior was sent sprawling to one side. He was stunned and unable to get up. Crowfur hoped it didn't go for Cedarstorm but he also knew that she'd show it who's boss.

The she-cat hissed angrily when she saw the intentions of the fox. However, she made a mistake. She thought that the fox would attack her but the dangerous jaws went to the other cat's scruff. Cedarstorm was frozen when the big predator bit Crowfur and the blood started flooding through his black pelt. "NO!" She cried, running toward the fox without any fear just to keep away from her wounded friend. For her, it didn't matter that she could get hurt or die under the paws of that fearsome enemy if she could save Crowfur. Jumping to the face of the fox, the she-cat slashed its face, hoping to blind him or give him some deep wounds.

Cedarstorm used Rear-up to Slash, dealing 9 damage and costing 15 stamina.

The fox yelped and shook its head. It turned and ran a bit away. The fox growled and backed up even further. It was showing signs of weakness but even then, it was too stubborn to give up. He ran up to the she-cat and bit her right front leg as hard as it could. He pushed her away and left her with a deep wound but luckily for the warrior, no bones broke. The fox had lost a lot of its strength in the fight.

Cedarstorm cried in pain when the sharp fangs dug into her skin. For a second , she wasn't able to breath until she was pushed away from the fox. The she-cat tried to stand up as fast as she could, ignoring the pain that was running through her leg. The warrior walked to put her body between the fox and the black tom, as a shield. Her mind was feeling dizzy so she had to finish this quickly or at least give Crowfur an opportunity to escape. With her remaining strength, the brown tabby cat leaped and once again grabbed the back of the fox with her claws and jaws.

Cedarstorm used Leap-and-Hold, dealing 8 damage and costing 10 stamina. Fox is stunned for two turns.

Crowfur got up weakly when he heard the pained yowl that came from the other warrior. He ran up and helped Cedarstorm hold it down further. He exposed its belly so he could get a grip on it further. The dark tom raked his needle sharp claws on its soft underbelly. He let out a snarl, making sure that every attack caused it massive pain.

The Fox cried out. It yelped and struggled, wanting to get away from the pain. The black furred warrior had a strong grip on it despite the injury it gave him. The she-cat had also shown strength beyond what this creature had ever seen or experienced. It started to regret attacking these two cats.

The warrior kept her claws inside the meat of the fox, slashing the meat as fast as she could and trying to keep her body balanced. Cedarstorm didn't how much she could hold it but she was going to do her best for Crowfur. Come on! You can do it Cedarstorm. Just resist... a bit longer. She said to herself, biting harder the back of the predator, feeling the blood running through her teeth.

Crowfur let out a pained hiss. He was dizzy but he cannot let that stop him. They were so close. "Cedarstorm, we're so close. We can do it!" he croaked. He mustered up all his remaining strength and raked his claws on its belly once more. He didn't have to go too hard now that the fox was begining to struggle less. "Finish it off Cedarstorm!" he growled. He got off the dying fox to let the love of his life finish it off.

The young she-cat could feel how the life of the predator was slipping away slowly. Using her last energy and encouraged by the words of the tom, the warrior bit deeper into the neck of the fox, slicing it with her claws as well. Even if moving her leg was painful, she still made her best effort to finish it like Crowfur said.

Cedarstorm only left him when she was sure that it wasn't breathing anymore. Stepping back from the dead corpse, the she-cat ran toward the black-furred cat, looking at his wounds concerned. "Oh, no! We have to get you to the camp as fast as we can! I'm so sorry for not being able to protect you!" She meowed, trying to see how to help him.

The black tom shook his head. "Cedarstorm, i'm more concerned about your leg. Can you walk?" he asked softly. He bent down and looked at the she-cat's leg. "I-Is it broken?" he asked himself. He shakily got up and blinked a few times to get rid of the incoming headache. "Let's gather the prey we got and go report the encounter with the fox. We also need to get our wounds patched up." He looked at Cedarstorm's injury to emphasize.

The warrior looked at her wounded leg and smiled to the tom, trying to not worry him for her. "Don't worry about me! I'm fine!" She lied, hiding the pain that was making her leg felt numb slowly. Cedarstorm nodded to Crowfur's words and walked to the place where they left the owl, the frog and the lizard they caught. "You're right! I'll grab the owl and you can pick up the frog and the lizard." Picking the owl from the scruff, the she-cat started walking back to the camp with the tom by her side, trying to stay awake a bit longer so she and Crowfur could reach the camp in time.
