Just Like We Were Kids Again...

Crowfur gave her a smile of his own. The tom got on his paws and playfully batted her ear. "Yeah! Let's also show the clan we're amazing hunters too!" His eyes held a determined glint. He waited for Cedarstorm to lead the hunt.

The she-cat chuckled and then looked at the bird, thoughtfully. "We should stay near the owl so after we finish out patrol we can bring it back to camp with the prey we will catch." She said before turning back to Crowfur, ready to start over their patrol.

Cedarstorm led the hunting, just like she wanted since she always liked to be kind of bossy. But the tom didn't seem to care about that part of her personality even when other could find it annoying and arrogant. Her blue eyes soon gazed a movement between some bushes, so she blinked to the other warrior before crouching down again. Moving slowly, the warrior kept her steps silent as she approached her objective. Once it was the right moment, she jumped with her jaws open to catch the prey. However, the frog jumped before she could get it and her paws only reached some slippery mud that made her fall again. Shaking her head to throw away the dirt, Cedarstorm looked at the frog jumping away, disappointed. "Well... this isn't really my best day." She said quietly, before returning back to the dark-furred cat. "Why don't you try it now? I'm sure that you'll do it better than I did." Her smile was less happy than the last one because she was still angry because of her two failed hunting attempts.

IC: Crowfur let out a small purr. "It was close though Cedarstorm. I thought you had it!" He flicked his tail playfully. "I bet if you try once more that you'll get three in a row!" he said gleefully. After she told him he could go, the warrior began to look around, trying to spot prey. He suddenly crouched and began to stalk a lizard he spotted moments ago. Once the dark furred to was close enough, he pounced on the slick creature. He caught it and killed it swiftly. He walked back and placed it beside the owl. "You can go again Cedarstorm!" he said with a smile.

The warrior smiled more happily after Crowfur said those encouraging words to her before trying to give hunting a shot. Like she expected, her friend easily caught a lizard and she decided that she had to do her part of the job too. After all, if she wanted the best warrior in all Shadowclan she had to be the best at hunting.

Walking away from the owl, Cedarstorm smelled a new scent close to her. She crouched down, ready to do another hunting attempt. Hopefully, she would return with something in her paws. Her eyes soon glanced a fat frog over a mossy rock. Preparing herself, the warrior put all her strength on her hind legs and jumped, catching the animal before it could jump away. Her jaws closed over the neck of the prey, killing it in just a few seconds. The she-cat returned happily to the tom, flicking her tail as she puffed up her chest proudly. She left the frog and pounced toward Crowfur, nuzzling him with her nose in his cheek. "You were right! I finally caught something!" She purred gladly.

His chest felt warm seeing Cedarstorm so happy. The tom turned away shyly. He shuffled his paws and tried to look anywhere but the pretty she-cat. "C-Cedarstorm...you know I-I..." his eyes narrowed before shaking his head. "N-No nevermind it's nothing." He looked up and gave her a smile. "Let's both catch a few more pieces of prey before heading back." with that he headed on to look for more.

The tom eventually found a frog a distance away from where Cedarstorm was. He crouched and readied his back legs. After a few moments, the fluffy tom pounced. He cursed under his breath as it escaped. He turned around and froze in horror. A large ugly, red-pelted creature stood a few lengths away snarling and bearing its sharp teeth. Crowfur felt his heart thump in fear and terror. Had it followed him all this time? What if he never turned around? Would he have been killed? So many thoughts ran through the warrior's mind. His fur bristled and he stood his ground. He gave a warning hiss before he stood up and began slashing with his claws at its ugly face. He came back down and backed a bit away. "Cedarstorm! Help me! There's a fox!" he yowled.

The fox snarled and shook its head in pain. It began to take steps towards the dark warrior with aggression and hostility.

The warrior tilted her head to one side, confused because the tom wasn't looking at her. Her eyes narrowed, suspiciously when he was about to say something and then regretted it, changing so suddenly the subject. Cedarstorm wouldn't let him stay quiet like that so, after their hunting, she would probably ask him what he wanted to tell her.

She was waiting close to the dead owl when he suddenly smelled the scent of a predator near. A fear was starting to rise inside her heart but she decided to ignore because it wasn't probably that that fox would be close to... Her heart bumped when the yowl of the tom reached her ears. The warrior stood, desperately, and ran as fast as she could. Her eyes widened when her gaze stared at the black-furred tom fighting against a fiery and fearsome fox. But Cedarstorm wasn't afraid... she was angry. "Stay away from him,
you hideous monster!" Hissing furiously, the she-cat ran and jumped the back of the huge animal, biting its flesh and sinking her claws into it so it would get distracted enough to leave Crowfur alone. She couldn't let him get hurt... she just couldn't.

Cedarstorm used Leap-and-Hold, dealing 8 damage and using 10 stamina. Fox is stunned for two turns.

Crowfur growled and helped Cedarstorm pin it down. The warrior raked his back claws across the Fox's underbelly. He made sure to leave many deep wounds.

The fox hissed in pain as it writhed under the weight and pressure of the two Shadowclan warriors.

Biting it harder, the warrior tried to keep her claws deep into the fox's flesh so it couldn't attack Crowfur anymore. She hissed, as she wrapped her paws around his back so she could stand there for a bit more.

Crowfur once again raked his claws into its belly to tear it up even more. He wanted this fox to feel pain and fear them. He knew Cedarstorm could handle pinning it down just a tiny bit longer.

The Fox growled in pain. It tried to get up but was forced down by the two cats. Its eyes held fury and hunger.

The fox is no longer stunned.

The brown she-cat couldn't hold the fox anymore and left his back jumping away from his body. Despite it angry and fearsome look, Cedarstorm hissed back at him and ran to his legs so she could start slashing the flesh again. Maybe, if she could somehow hurt him enough, the fox wouldn't be able to stand up.
