Birdkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardstar leaped onto the Highrock, ready for another ceremony “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Meanwhile Cinderfrost was just returning from hunting. She set her prey on the pile and sat down

Birdkit, having nothing better to do for mostly the entire day, walked out and sat next to her mother excited that she wasn't bored anymore and also her curiosity was itching to find out what the news was.

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white leader finally decided to go on “Birdkit, please, step forward”.

Her expression was of confusion. She quickly got up and stepped forward as the leader told her.

Blizzardstar gave Birdkit a reassuring smile before talking again “Birdkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Birdpaw” She took a quick glance at the warriors gathered before picking one for the new apprentice “Your mentor will be Shadowleaf. I hope she passes down all she knows on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, dismissing the clan.

Birdkit's eyes shown with glee as she was finally an apprentice! She couldn't believe it. She promised herself and her clan secretly that she will do her best for anything and never give up.

Shadowleaf was surprised when she heard her name called. She was a former tribe member after all, she figured it would be a little longer before she got her first apprentice. The gray and white she-cat padded up to her apprentice. "I look forward to teaching you." The former prey-hunter said.

The new apprentice looked up at her new mentor and touched noses with her. Happiness shown from her eyes. "I can't wait to start!" she purred happily and walked back to her mother.
