April's Gathering 2017

Lightdrop's mood lifted slightly when the cat changed from looking like he wasn't wanting anything to do with her to greeting her nicely. "My name is Lightdrop. What is your name?" It was easy to tell by his scent that he was a shadowclan cat. His pelt color was certainly different than from the normal shadowclan colors. At least in her mind. She always thought they were dark colored cats not a pale ginger? She didn't know.

"I'm Ryepaw, nice to meet you!" Smiling, the medium-furred tabby couldn't help but feel an attraction towards this she-cat; she was super pretty, and seemed very nice. At the same time thought, he felt a tug of almost...disloyalty. Even thought she had rejected him, he still held quite a flame for Ambernose, and felt a sense of loyalty towards the she-cat. You idiot! She's not your mate, and she has kits with another tom! Get over it! Brushing aside his conflicting thoughts, he realized that he wasn't looking at the situation correctly. She's a RiverClan cat, you have no business liking her like that. Still, that wouldn't stop the tom from flirting a bit. His mouth curving in a suave grin, the handsome tom waved his tail slowly as he spoke, keeping eye contact with the white she-cat. "Lightdrop...what a pretty name; it suits you." With a very quick wink, Ryepaw waited to see how she would react.

Silentstorm's ears perked in surprise as he heard a younger she-cats voice and paw steps approach them. He turned to see who the newcomer was, while taking in the strong scent of RiverClan. He had never really talked to other clan cats at gatherings and this she-cat had surprised him. "Uh, yeah, pretty nice night I'd say. It does feel a bit odd tonight though. A little spooky." He meowed, an amused smile playing on his muzzle. He wasn't much of a talker, so because of that, he didn't have the best social skills when it came to conversation, but he was trying. "I think almost all the clans decided on a deputy change all at once." He remarked, chuckling softly as he flicked his black-furred tail in the direction of the deputys.

Before he had a chance to say anything else, Crowstar started the gathering, so he closed his jaws and rested his gaze on the tom. He had to admit, he was surprised that Crowstar had appointed the Windclan tom who had abandoned his clan as deputy instead of a more experienced and maybe more loyal warrior, but it wasn't his place to say anything. Besides, Ashstar had already said something and he trusted in StarClan's choice, so therefore he trusted Crowstar's choice of deputy.

Shrugging absentmindedly, he glanced back at the pretty RiverClan she-cat sitting next to him. "There seems to always be tension at every gathering now. Don't ya think?" He meowed, rolling his eyes at the thought of all the other things that had happened at the gatherings before this.

Lightdrop blinked at the tom's comment. She didn't know how to react at first. "Oh! Thank you Ryepaw." The white she-cat commented. "So what do you think about what is going on right now?" She said using her head to slightly gesture to the leader's on top of the rock. She had been paying attention somewhat, but nothing had to do with her so she didn't really care now.

Glad that Littlebrook and Silentstorm seemed alright with his presence, Mudfoot sat down next to the two of them. He watched as some RiverClan cats came over to chat with Silentstorm and turned to Littlebrook who'd asked him a question. "Besides the tension between SkyClan and WindClan, everything feels fine to me," he mewed with a smile. "Maybe something feels of because usually WindClan and RiverClan are the ones at each other's throats,
and seeing SkyClan clash with WindClan is just... odd?" Mudfoot added with a shrug, taking a guess. Other than what he'd just said, everything felt fine to him, but he was still curious as to what Littlebrook thought was off.

Jaypaw turned his head to the leaders like the other do and listened carefully their words. He could feel the tension in the air and it wasn't a good signal for the future. His serious green eyes looked up to the sky and he sighted, hopeless. Please, Starclan, don't let the clans enter in a fight again... He thought to himself. He really doubted that any Starclan warrior would actually reply but at least, he was sure that all of them were watching them.

Tinypaw quietly listened to the leaders of the other clans when the gathering officially started. Her sight soon looked at Batpaw, unsure. This was her first gathering but she thought that it was going to be more... peaceful and calm. The little she-cat could notice the tension and she was a little afraid that it could affect Riverclan.

OOC: AAYYYYY TRIBE CATS YO

Leaders talked. Cats grumbled and whispered among one another. As Stoneteller, weakened from the journey, continued on his path with his tribe close behind, he paused outside of the clearing just downwind to listen in on the gathering. While his body protested interrupting what the Tribe of Endless Stars called their peaceful Gathering, he knew that this is what their ancestors wanted. For a moment, he turned back to his tribe, glancing among those who were left. It had been a rough journey. Several were lost to the dangers of nature while others perished fighting for the clan, but Stoneteller was so proud of those who made it with him.

With a deep breath, the Healer finally found the courage to push through the brush surrounding the clearing. As he did, he found much more than he was anticipating. There were so many cats whIle five in particular stood on top of a huge rock in the center of the clearing. As he and the rest of his tribe pushed into the crowding cats, he finally stopped, not wanting to pose any threat to these groups, these clans.

"Greetings," he called out as many eyes began to stare upon him. "We are peaceful, please hear us out." He called loud enough for everyone to hear him. At least, he hoped he did.

Storm that Lights the Clouds was sticking close to Stoneteller as they moved forward, his eyes narrowed but ears perked at the sound of voices ahead of him. His body ached, weak from the journey but yet he forced himself to look powerful, ready to be a shoulder for Stoneteller to lean on if the older cat needed. As they stepped thought the undergrowth, he came to a sudden stop in terror at the sight before them. There was so many cats...He swallowed as he shook his head, reminding himself that he had to be strong for his tribe. He spared a glance at Stoneteller as the tribe leader spoke. Was this it? Was this to be their home? There were so many cats, would they be accepted? His whole body trembled, not only from tiredness but also fear. There was so little of them left...The tribe was truly on their last legs.

The eyes of Fox that hunt in the Night blinked surprised when they watched all the clan cats that appeared when they entered the clearing. He was tired, exhausted and sad because of all the losses that happened during the journey. However, he knew that all that was worth the pain that all his tribe suffered. Now... they're in the home of his ancestors. Their old home.
The spotted tom followed the Stoneteller trying to show strength, but it was hard when all his body was asking for some rest. Fox stopped when his leader did and listened to his peaceful words while his green eyes analyzed the faces of all the strange cats that surrounded them. Tribe of the Endless Skies... please help us now and made that these cats accept us. He prayed to his ancestors, wondering about the future of the remaining cats of his tribe.

Night of Stormy Gales padded into the clearing near the front of the group of travel-weary Tribe cats. Though his skinny black body was adorned with scrapes and cuts, the lithe tom still looked as wise and curious as ever. Glancing around, he looked with interest upon the many unfamiliar cats that were gathered in the clearing between four trees, and nodded to some as he made eye contact. Not wanting to seem hostile, or aggravate tensions, he tried to appear as calm and respectful as possible. At long last, our new home that ours Ancestors have guided us to. Or, would it be our old home? To some in the stars it may be, but to us it is mysterious and undiscovered; and I can't wait to explore it. Stopping behind Stoneteller, he gazed up at the five cats that stood on the rock, their position and demeanor reflecting authority. They must be the healers of these cats.... All these new things sparked a kit-like excitement and wonder in his heart, but he knew not all cats shared that same feeling. Catching sight of Storm that Lights the Clouds, he rested his tail reassuringly across the cave-guard's back, flashing him a kind smile before looking back up at the healers on the rock. Our adventure had just begun....

Ash of the Burning Forest staggered behind the small number of tribe cats that had survived the journey, his huge mass of fur weighing down his bony frame. He glanced fearfully at all the cats in the clearing, including the five leaders that sat up high on a large rock that the sun's light shone down on. Rushing up to the front, he trailed behind Stoneteller and Storm that Lights the Clouds, his ragged patchy pelt swaying as he moved. He'd almost died on a journey across the mountains - if he could do that, he could talk to a couple of clan cats. Even so, he worried that they might reply aggressively to the tribe's attempts to make peace. Perhaps they would think they were rogues, or attackers. He shivered, although the warm sun warmed his body, from the thought.

Screech of the Startled Eagle plunged shakily after Stoneteller and Storm that Lights the Clouds, scrawny form barely containing enough strength to plod after the two toms. His murky green eyes were stretched wider than the moon as he glared at all the strange cats mingling about- such a massive Tribe! There must be tons of prey here if this many cats could live here and look so well fed. The prickly To-Be halted beside  Fox, fur bristling slightly as countless pairs of eyes fell upon them. The bits of dialogue he matched to snatch only confused him more, and his tail lashed in an agitated manner as he continued to glare out at the new Tribe they had apparently discovered. The longer Screech continued to observe the massive hollow, the more sure he came that this was the place that Stoneteller told them about before their journey. "Look at this Tribe! It's huge!" He grumbled, nudging Fox slightly with his bony shoulder.

Berry that Falls From Bush's eyes immediately widened in shock once the tribe began to emerge after Stoneteller. There were so many of them...so many strange cats in one place. All of the eyes belonging to the strangers were on him and the tribe. It made Berry feel sick to his stomach. He knew absolutely none of them, and that really bothered him. What if these cats were hostile and protective of their land and prey? What if they didn't accept them right away and chased them out? There was a lot more of them than were of his own tribe, and they could easily defeat them. Plus, they looked a lot more...in shape...than the tribe did. However, his expression remained calm, even if inside he felt butterflies. Berry couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. These strangers all looked so well-fed. Meanwhile, the tribe was starving. The tom to-be said nothing, scanning the crowd with his wary gaze. Berry felt as if he were to take one step, then the strange cats would spring. All he needed to know now was the reaction of the cats they faced...

Shadow of the dancing leaf stood behind storm as they entered the gathering area. She wasn't sure what to think of this huge tribe, and it didn't seem like they were getting along either. How were they going to react what were these other cats going to do? She just hoped they wouldn't react violently. She didn't need that. She was prey hunter not a cave guard. She wasn't made for fighting. "Tribe of Endless Stars... Give us strength..." She prayed quietly.

Echo that Strides Through shakily walked into the clearing. She collapsed onto the ground. She wasn't ready to take a journey. She looked at the sky. "Tribe of Endless Hunting, bring me the strength to survive, and may these cats here hold no hostility to us." she whispered.
