October's Gathering 2017

The four massive oak trees in the center of the sacred clearing rattled and swayed softly in the slightly chilly breeze that swept through the hollow. The cooler weather and the brightly colored leaves that carpeted the floor of the hollow signaled the oncoming approach of Leaf-Fall. However, far above the trees, the full moon and all of the twinkling lights of Silverpelt were glaringly obviously and eagerly waiting to welcome all of the Clans.

Ashstar was the first to stride into the Gathering, her walk purposeful as WindClan followed behind her. The bright pinpricks of light from above were strangely comforting, reminding her that StarClan accepted her as leader- which was definitely something she needed, after all the recent fiascos in her Clan. Hopefully now, they could finally catch a break. The lithe gray she-cat leapt gracefully onto the Great Rock, waiting for the other Clans to arrive with a quiet smile. For a moment, all was right with the world.

Hollowbranch followed his leader carefully. It would be his first Gathering as a warrior.

Wildheart followed Ashstar into the gathering with his fluffy gray son following closely behind him. This was Lightningpaw's first gathering, and it showed as the younger tom looked around with wider-than-usual eyes. Wildheart chuckled as he nudged his son forward to go explore for himself. "Go for it, the night is supposed to get to know other clans as well as share news," the orange tom said. Lightningpaw nodded and headed off in his own direction while his father sat near his clan for now.

Cloverpaw followed the clan keeping his distance while his eyes bounced around everything. He was excited but nervous. This is his first gathering after all.

Dutifully following just a few tail-lengths behind Ashstar was Brindlewhisker, whose confident and even steps did nothing to betray the conflicted thoughts that were whirling within her mind. After all of the conflict that had plagued Windclan over the past few sunrises, shortly followed by the mysterious disappearance of Sageleaf and Slatethroat, it was difficult to dismiss all the troubling thoughts that were currently gnawing at the edges of her mind. Giving her head a quick shake to dismiss the nagging thoughts, Brindlewhisker quickly took her place where the Deputies always sat and neatly wrapped her tail around her paws, patiently waiting for the other Clans to arrive.

Mottleheart followed after Ashstar and Brindewhisker, his expression cold but conflicted as he glanced around at his Clanmates. There was no denying the tension that many of the cats were feeling with Slatethroat and Sageleaf having gone missing - and so soon after Sageleaf's claims that StarClan wished to see Ashstar removed...The questions that it all raised didn't have any good answer in his mind and he felt himself on edge despite this being a time of peace. Was WindClan ever going to get a time to just breathe and relax without having trouble rising up?

Nightheart padded into the clearing after Ashstar, looking around and smiling with pride, once more they were the first to arrive. She took a nice spot close to the Great Rock, looking around and waiting to see if any other clan arrived

Blizzardstar padded into the clearing, leading her clan. While her way of walking and expression were fairly neutral, her eyes reflected her worry and anxiety. So many things had happened so fast lately and it was starting to make the white leader’s nerves go over the tree tops. She just hoped she could keep her cool that night.

She hopped into the Great Rock and gave Ashstar a polite greeting before sitting down. If Sageleaf’s arrival to ThunderClan hadn’t been so sudden she probably would’ve already talked with her. However, this was not the time nor the place, there was a good reason why she didn’t allowed the Medicine Cat to come with them and forbid her clanmates from mentioning her to anyone in Fourtrees for the time being.

Leafstorm and Sharppaw followed Blizzardstar then drippy ran out of steam gee thanks depression will edit this later

Nectarleap followed WindClan into the gathering, not as troubled as he had been the time before.

Shrewpaw followed after Sharppaw and Blizzardstar into Fourtrees.

Raggedpaw slunk at the back of the ThunderClan group, his head down.

Blazingwing sheepishly padded into Fourtrees, warily scanning the area before following after his clan.

She hadn't been to a Gathering in a long while for sure. Darkflight kept pace with her Clanmates as they made their way to Fourtrees, albeit more towards the back. She wasn't sure if it was the removal of her lives, aging, or her lungs simply not functioning well enough for her to stay near the front. All four seasons had come and gone since losing her leg, so it was well past the point where she had gotten used to it. Despite not holding a leadership position anymore, the fluffy she-cat couldn't help but notice the well-masked uncertainty that plagued WindClan. She briefly greeted her rather impulsive son Shrewpaw, and made a move to quietly ask one of the fleet-footed warriors what was going on, but she noticed a down-trodden Raggedpaw. She pushed away the nagging thought at the back of her mind to sit with the former outsider. 'Ashstar will mention something. There's no need to snoop.'

Darkflight touched her tail to the young tom's flank. "Are you nervous?"

Mistpaw plodded into the gathering along with her clan, sticking extremely close to her mother's side and tripping her over constantly. Wide amber eyes flitted among the clearing, glad that they were the first to come so it was all much less overwhelming. Mistpaw's little tongue swiped over her squashed muzzle and disappeared, though the tip of it poked out. Sitting next to her mother under the great rock for a moment, she puffed her long fur out against the cooling breeze.

Mistpaw skittered away as soon as she saw Thunderclan peaking over the edge that led into the clearing, darting until she was away from her mother she paused and became still. What should she do? She didn't ask her mother OR her father what they did at gatherings, her tail tucked slightly as she was overcome with nervousness. So she just kinda stood there... frozen, not doin' anything. Like a deer in the Monster lights.

Creampaw and Ravenpaw padded in after Thunderclan and joined a group of apprentices.
