The Leopard who Guides the Blaze - Closed for Mamiboo

(i'm assuming Leopard pounced on top of blazing. if you didn't i can edit it)

Blazingpaw was caught off-guard by his mentor's surprise attack, and wriggled around under his spotted pelt. His tail lashed as he flailed his paws around in a futile attempt to try and free his limbs, which would grant him more flexibility to attack. He realised this was useless, and aimed his attacks on Leopardclaw's soft underbelly, kicking and raking through his mentor's fur with his hind legs. Clouds of dust formed around him as he flung his hind legs up into his attacker's belly. He wriggled out, backing away slightly and lowering himself to the floor, getting ready to pounce.

Leopardclaw lurched back, his face twisted in a painful wince. Blazingpaw hadn't injured him, but the young tom had pressed his back paws against Leopardclaw's still healing belly injuries from his fight with Rockthorn. Taking deep breaths, the spotted tom quickly quelled the pain and went in for a counter attack. Dashing up to the apprentice, he landed a strong, but not painful, blow to Blazingpaw's shoulder.

Blazingpaw flinched for a moment, slammed by Leopardclaw's strong paw, and focused on the large golden tom, his eyes glinting in the sun. He quickly sped behind him, targeting and biting down hard on his opponent's lashing tail and jerking backwards, knowing that tails were sensitive from all the times Sparrowpaw had stepped on his. Although he stumbled into the dust after pulling too hard, he suspected he had done his job, and stalked around his mentor, staying low on the ground with his ears flattened.

Leopardclaw was surprised when Blazingpaw didn't attack him from the front, and tried to twist quickly to follow his movements but the large tom wasn't quite quick enough. With a shocked yelp, he felt jaws close around his tail, and suddenly he was yanked to the ground. Taken by surprise, Leopardclaw couldn't find his bearings quick enough, leaving him open for another attack.

(That move stuns an opponent for one turn; when you do a move like that with an effect you should probably add it into the attack description, so that the other player knows. Just a tip ;D)

While his opponent was stunned for a moment, Blazingpaw lashed out at him, slashing at Leopardclaw's furry body with unsheathed claws. After striking his mentor, he resumed his previous posture, keeping down and creeping across the dusty soil. He bared his teeth as if he was about to bite, attempting to intimidate his mentor and distract him to make his attacks more efficient. He froze in position, stiffening his muscles and readying for an attack.

Even after Leopardclaw had recovered from the stunning attack and his strength was returning, the large golden tom didn't get up off of the ground. His face was turned away from his apprentice, hiding his open eyes, gleaming with knowledge of a plan. He could hear Blazingpaw padding closer to him, so the young warrior tensed his muscles, planning when the apprentice investigated his surprising lack of recovery, to jump up with a strong, explosive attack, hopefully taking him by surprise.

(i don't think blazingpaw would back down in this situation. if this doesn't work in the circumstances, i'll edit to say he used something more generic like run-and-tackle)

Blazingpaw tumbled into the dirt, hit hard by his mentor's surprise attack. Clouds of dust rose into the air as he struggled to get a grip on the ground. He lifted himself up, wobbly and shaking, but he refused to let his mentor make him give up and lose. With his last scrap of strength, he leapt at the spotted tom, pinning himself onto Leopardclaw's back and biting hard into his pelt. His claws dug down, and he clung on for dear life, his brown and ginger tabby fur standing on end.

Leopardclaw let out a surprised yowl as his apprentice latched his thorn-sharp claws into his fur, and began to claw at his back. Hissing, the large tom tried to swipe at the smaller tom, and buck him off of his back but to no avail. While he was frustrated, a strong twinge of pride struck his heart; Blazingpaw's fighting skills are very good for his age, and his ability to keep fighting like a seasoned warrior when he's on his last legs is very impressive...

Blazingpaw's fur bristled as Leopardclaw attempted to throw him off, and his grip began to loosen. For support, he tried clinging on more, but only managed a few more scratches before he was flung off, and he collapsed into the dirt, worn out and fatigued. His tail lashed furiously, and he tried to get up to his legs, refusing to back down. However, his weakness got the better of him and he laid back down into the dirt. "Y-you win," he mumbled, letting his fur flatten. He looked away, slightly ashamed he couldn't defeat his mentor.

With a gasp of relief Leopardclaw felt his apprentice's wight slide off of his back, and the larger tom jumped around to gaze down at him, a slightly amused smirk twisting his maw. Shaking out his ruffled golden fur, the spotted tom managed to purr out a response between his panting. "You....did great...kid!" After taking a second to properly get his breath back, the spotted tabby tom sat down. "Don't feel bad you didn't beat me Blazingpaw...you actually got pretty close. That in itself is impressive for a cat your age." Leopardclaw gave the apprentice a moment to stand up and compose himself, and while he waited he inspected the healing wound on his belly that Blazingpaw had irritated. It wasn't bleeding, so he guessed it was fine.

Blazingpaw smiled when his mentor complimented him between his pants, and shakily lifted himself to his paws. He glanced at Leopardclaw inspecting a previous wound he had gotten before, most likely from his fight with that other cat. Had he hurt it? Judging by the look on his mentor's face, he doubted it was serious, but still felt a little bad. He slowly stumbled over to his side, tired and slightly aching near his shoulder where the tom had been hit. "Are we going back to camp? Or are we training more?" he inquired, regaining his kind, dimwitted personality again.

Glancing down at his young apprentice, Leopardclaw couldn't help but smile. This day had brought back many memories for him, though most had a bittersweet undertone. This is the place that his mentor, Grasswhisker, had taken him for his first training session, and he could almost hear their heartfelt conversation repeated in the breeze. A faint smile on his angled face, the golden spotted tabby closed his eyes for a moment of peaceful silence before standing up and flicking his tail to Blazingpaw. "Let's go back to camp, it's been a long day. Plus, you'll need energy for training tomorrow." Flicking his ears, the large warrior turned and began to take a few steps back toward camp, turning his head slightly to meow; "Oh, don't forget your prey." after making sure to grab his own freshly killed mouse.
