Sparrowkit, Falconkit, and Poppykit's Apprentice Ceremony

A trio! A trio of kittens to become apprentices today. If this didn't mean Newleaf was finally here, she didn't know what was. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather under the Highrock for a Clan meeting."

Falconkit peered from a fern up at the leader, he had heard other's talking to their kits about gathering there soon. He hoped that he was among the ones this message was for as, he was going to the meeting. Nervously, he padded into the shadow of Highrock and shuffled his paws. Did he mess up somehow? He hoped that wasn't what this was about, he had taken care to stay out the way, trying to make friends was still a little hard but, he managed, what else could this be about? The kit's mind raced and raced with thoughts he'd never be able to sputter out fast enough.

Rockthorn padded out of the warriors den, his face giving way on how disgruntled he felt as of late. Turning to look up at Darkstar he sat himself down a little ways from the middle, his eyes catching on Falconkit's and deciding that it must be an apprentice ceremony with Falconkit being the only one or one of them.

Poppykit slipped from the nursery, her thick fur sleek showing evidence of the meticulous grooming it had received just moments earlier, and proudly padded towards Highrock. Her thick tail was curled up behind her in a enthusiastic manner as she continued to march towards where Darkstar was seated, completely writing off Rockthorn as she practically bounced forward to the front of the crowd.

Sparrowkit bounded out of the Nursery, jumping over to Highrock. The little kit sat down under the large meeting rock, her tail wiggling excitedly. She just knew she'd become an apprentice today. It was going to be awesome!

Jaysong padded from the warriors den to watch the ceremony soon enough she knew her adopted son would be up there getting his apprentice name and eventually his warrior name. She quietly sat with the other cats that gathered to watch the ceremony.

Blizzardshine padded towards the Highrock with a huge smile on her muzzle. She was happy to finally see Darkstar out from her den and making ceremonies again, especially after the awful illness that had assaulted her for several days managed to win the battle, taking away one of the leader’s lives. She wasn’t sure if the rest of the clan knew anything about this, but she had decided to not say a thing, not wanting for them to worry.

A short, sharp breeze ruffled her fur momentarily before she spoke, allowing the scar where her leg used to be see the light of day. It was still"Sparrowkit, Falconkit, and Poppykit, you each have reached the age of six moons and it is time that you became apprenticed. From this moment forth, until you receive your warrior names shall be Sparrowpaw, Falconpaw, and Poppypaw. Your mentors will be, respectfully, Blizzardshine, Goosefeather, and Rockthorn. I know they have the skills and experience to teach you well." She had no clue as to what occurred between Rockthorn and the new apprentice, and pairing the two had taken place separate from that event. According to her, this moment was just her adoptive son and former apprentice receiving an apprentice of his own.

Blizzardshine smiled as her name was called, standing up and walking towards Sparrowpaw to touch noses with her, she was always glad to get new apprentices. Watching them become successful warriors being one of her biggest prides.

Sparrowpaw tried to keep her cool as she touched noses with the deputy. She was finally an apprentice! It was crazy! She had never felt such excitement and pride before. "I'll make you proud." Sparrowpaw mewed quietly to her new mentor, paws tingling with nervousness and excitement.

Falconpaw watched the deputy and apprentice with a blank look. What was he supposed to do? He looked down at his paws with hot ears, he wished he knew how to fit in to the strange clan. At least he had guessed correctly that he was supposed to be there...

Instead of going up to Poppypaw he turned to Falconpaw with a soft smile, gently pressing his nose against the new apprentice's he pulled back. "Just like that, you'll do fine Falconpaw, I'm here for you. Just watch me." Then he turned and padded to Poppypaw, making sure the tom was watching he touched his nose to Poppypaw's but with a rather forced smile this time. "Training is going to be harsh for you." Rockthorn whispered.

Falconpaw blinked and smiled softly at Rockthorn. A slight nod showing he understood. When Goosefeather approached he nodded. "O-okay." He said before pressing his nose to Goosefeather's own and pulling away. He was curious about what he'd do after all of this, what was there to learn? So many customs and new words.. new smells.
