Let’s Bring Home the Prey [Open Hunting Patrol]

Nightheart padded calmly towards the entrance of the camp, taking a deep breath before turning around and speak “Anyone willing to go hunting?” She was far from being the cheerful she-cat she was some moons ago, all the awful experiences from her past leaving their invisible scars on her…but life went on and even if she wasn’t feeling that well just yet she had to go on.

Jayfall sighted the she-cat by the camp exit, and decided to make her way over at her call. She dipped her head politely, acknowledging her experience as an older warrior. "Nightheart, you going patrolling?" she asked her, even thought she already knew the answer, only hoping to make polite conversation with her.

Nightheart looked and Jayfall and nodded with half a smile “It has been some time since I went on my last hunting patrol, so why not?” She meowed calmly at her clanmate. With Newleaf getting closer each day the prey would become more abundant and the clan would be easier to feed, but for now, they still needed this extra patrols.

OOC: I hope it's cool if I throw Hawkpaw in here? o.o Just wondering since this topic was started before she became an apprentice... if not, just ignore this ^-^'

IC: Hawkpaw looked up from where she had been sitting as Nightheart asked about hunting. Hearing her mentor respond the brown tabby hopped up and padded over quickly, her eyes bright with excitement. "Can I come too Jayfall?!"

Raccoonfang approached the other warriors and apprentice. "Can I come along?" The new warrior asked, looking at Nightheart for an answer. She needed to do some patrols. Just because she was a warrior now didn't mean she could slack on any training.

Sandybreeze glanced up from where she was quietly napping to see a patrol forming. With a half-smile half-yawn she got up to stretch before padding over to the growing group. "Hey guys, mind if I come?" She meowed, blinking the tiredness from her eyes. It's do her good to get out and do something productive.

Squirrelsong walked up to her mother and smiled. Pointing towards the group she nodded, doing a silent can I join with her movements.

Jayfall looked at Night heart with a smile as more cats joined, and she beckoned Hawkpaw up to her with a nod. "Of course you can go. Unless you voluntarily prefer to clean Cedarfur's bedding." she meowed with a hint of amusement. She had to be a good mentor, just like Sprucethorn had been, and honor his memory.

Willowwhisker filed in behind Squirrelsong, her heart thumping. First patrol, again. "W-would you guys mind if I j-joined you?? Her permanent stutter made it sound like she was always scared of something, and in a way she was. Ever since Sweetkit found out about Thistlefall, she had been more jumpy than she had ever been. But she pushed away all the bad thoughts, continuing her day no matter what obstacles she faced.

Nightheart looked at the group of cats that quickly gathered around them, letting them speak with a polite yet clearly hollow smile before finally speaking up “Let’s go, if anyone else wants to join they’ll need to catch up” With those words she started to head towards the entrance of camp, only stopping to check if the other cats were following before stepping outside.

"Of course you can go. Unless you voluntarily prefer to clean Cedarfur's bedding." Hawkpaw scrunched her nose up at the thought and shook her head vigorously. "NO! I'm good hunting!."
