February Gathering 2017

Vixenheart glanced over at Thrushstar after the leaders begin to leave with their Clans.
"You may want to control your own cats before you speak of ours." She said, before leaping off the Great Rock.
"We're leaving as well, SkyClan." The she-cat said, flicking her tail for the cats to gather, before she lead her Clan out of Fourtrees. This Gathering had not ended up very well at all, and Vixenheart knew that she would have to speak to Owltalon about what had gone down with the ShadowClan apprentice who had attacked him. She glanced back to make sure her Clan was following before looking ahead once again.

Halfdawn rolled her amber eyes as the bickering and the fight caused the clouds to cover the moon. Of course it had been ShadowClan.
"Shouldn't we be retorting back at them after they threw something at us? They caused this after all." The tortoiseshell said to Blacktwig, her former mentor and cousin. With a sigh, she looked at her paws.
What a fantastic way to lead into a new moon. She thought, sarcastically.

Vipertail started nimbly after Vixenheart, her pawsteps silent as she followed the deputy. She gestured for Pansypaw to come walk next to her, and stop staring at that... tree near RiverClan's medicine cats. Her tail waved behind her, and she sighed. She had been so tolerant of Wolfpaw, the greyish apprentice, but all of her patience depleted. She gave a forlorn, pitying glance at Flamestrike, before leaving.

Blacktwig looked at Halfdawn. "I wouldn't," he meowed warningly. "One of our warriors—suppose I should tell you who?—has harmed one of their warriors. I don't think it would be fair to criticize them again, no matter what their apprentice has done." After his small spiel, Blacktwig continued to trot to the shade of an oak, beckoning Halfdawn, his former apprentice and cousin, after him. He wasn't sure what to do, after most of the other clans concluded their fraction of the Gathering and departed.

Willowwhisker left with Windclan, trotting close behind Smokepelt, Ryepaw, and Hazefur. "Starclan, forgive." Hoping nothing further would happen, she followed Ashstars lead back to camp.


Gustpuddle headed back towards camp, trying to make her way to Quailfeather. When she finally locked onto her sleek form, she saw she was with Silentpaw, and must be happy about it as well.


Silentpaw arose, untwining his and Quailfeathers tail slowly. Thank Starclan that went well! He was too busy with Quailfeather to even notice the fighting between Wolfpaw and Owltalon. 

Maplecloud started to shake the slushy snow off of her pelt, not even needing to wait for the cue. She headed towards Blacktwig and Halfdawn, hoping to walk back to camp with them.

"Hello, Maplecloud," purred Blacktwig, with an eloquent dip of his head. He had much respect for his friend, Pinewhisker's, former apprentice. The tabby she-cat seemed to have grown well. He looked at Halfdawn, expecting her approval. This Gathering was rocky, but they could rekindle some well-distributed kindness.

"Oh, yeah, hi." Halfdawn said, flicking her tail in greeting but trying not to seem as if she was acting stand-offish. The warrior didn't know Maplecloud all that well. Really, All she knew was that she had been formerly apprenticed under Pinewhisker. What the tortoiseshell really wanted to do now was head home and sleep until the morning came.

Hazeflight stared up at the sky. Fear began to cloud her eyes. What was StarClan going to do? They wouldn't harm her own daughter would they? They couldn't do that to her, not after everything. Hazeflight looked down at her daughter. "It was that tom's fault if you ask me. SkyClan needs to teach their toms some manners." she meowed quietly to Wolfpaw before walking away.

Sprucethorn dipped his head to Rippedsky. "Yeah, seeya around. Hopefully soon." he meowed as he clambered to his paws. The Tom shook out his fur and followed after Twistedtail.

Ospreypaw pressed himself against Finchpaw. His heart quickened as the sky clouded over"StarClan wasn't angry with RiverClan were they? We haven't done anything!" he reassured himself. The Tom gazed down at Finchpaw, plastering a reassuring smile on his face. "It'll be fine. StarClan isn't angry with RiverClan. We did nothing wrong, they wouldn't punish innocent cats would they?" He meowed rather calmly.

Cautiously he got to his paws, gently nudging Finchpaw up. The tabby smiled at her, his whiskers twitching slightly. Ospreypaw's ears perked at Fallowstripe's words. Slightly saddened he gazed at Finchpaw. "Fallowstripe wants you, she sounds pretty urgent too. You should probably go." meowed Ospreypaw flicking his tail in Fallowstripe's direction.

Hollypaw jumped to her paws. "Whatever. I am glad this gathering is over" she huffed to the group of apprentices she was sitting with.

The Bengal she-cat sauntered off towards Her own clan. Hollypaw quickly found her father, whom looked annoyed. "I'm glad I'm not in ShadowClan, I mean, just look at them- they're so weak. Besides, what clan can't keep their apprentices under control? I'm glad I don't know that stupid grey she-cat, how terrible would it be if we were related! I certainly don't want to be related to a cat that can't keep their temper." she snorted to her father unknowingly. The she-cat glanced over at the group of ShadowClan cats as they scorned Wolfpaw. Shaking her head disapprovingly, Hollypaw followed after her clan.

Driftpaw cowered away, her pelt fluffing up in fright. The dusty she-cat quickly took after Darkstar. She couldn't bare to see another fight breakout, not after the last one. Or the one before that. Especially not after that one. Driftpaw was innocent, she would never kill on purpose... She had never meant to kill anyway.

Pansypaw was deeply frightened by the sudden darkness, but managed to keep her calm composure. Nodding, she stood up to follow Vipertail from the clearing but looked back. She never got to talk to Bouncepaw!

For a moment she hesitated, wanting to approch him before RiverClan left but held back. It's too risky Instead, she shot the tom a friendly and reassuring smile before turning tail and dashing to catch up with her cousin.

Finchpaw's fear was quickly quelled by Ospreypaw's reassuring words, and she purred heartily. Turning her head towards her mother, who was calling frantically for her, Finchpaw shot her friend a regretful glance before trotting over to Fallowstripe. "Here I am mother, I'm okay!" She nuzzled her mother's shoulder reassuringly.

Fallowstripe broke into a soft, rumbling purr. "Oh, yes, you're fine," she said shakily, resting her muzzle on Finchpaw's fluffy neck. "Walk beside Ospreypaw, will you?" offered Fallowstripe. "I'll join you. Ospreypaw's a nice tom." Fallowstripe dipped her head.

Bouncepaw looked longingly after Pansypaw, accepting her nod with one of his own. He stifled a sigh. I hope we see each other again soon, he thought, melancholy expression pacified by his mentor's soothing company.

As soon as the fight broke out, all of Thrushstar's attention snapped onto the apprentice that started it all. However, before he could react, it was over just as quickly as it had begun. The clouds came forth, covering the brightly lit moon before he could get a word in and suddenly all of the clans turned to leave, mentioning several condescending remarks on their way out about the Shadowclan cat, one of them even coming from Ashstar as she turned to head to her own territory. It left the Shadowclan leader baffled, especially as Skyclan left, so all he could do was turn back to his own clan, his eyes staring daggers into Wolfpaw as his claws dug into the hard rock below him, leaving nasty, gritty, skin-tingling sounds while a low growl emitted from his throat. "Shadowclan, we're leaving!" he hissed viciously. "I have some business to take care of with a certain cat."

Finchpaw purred, and dashed back over to Ospreypaw. Smiling up at the tom-cat, she waited for Fallowstripe to join them.

Ospreypaw purred as Finchpaw joined him. "Hey, again." he purred.

Hazeflight followed behind Thrushstar. She looked up to the stars, begging StarClan they wouldn't hurt her daughter.

Love? wondered Fallowstripe, and how she'd been so blind, as she scampered up to walk beside the two apprentices. Her long tail waved, no sign of a troubled conundrum taking place in her stomach. StarClan is angry, oh, no... she thought.
