February Gathering 2017

Littlebrook padded into the clearing full of cats behind Thrushstar. Her head swiveled around, but to her disappointment, SkyClan wasn't here yet. WindClan and RiverClan were already here, but she didn't feel like mingling at the moment, so she headed somewhere nobody else was sitting and took a seat, tail wrapped neatly around her small paws.

Silentstorm padded in slowly behind his mother. His paws were itching in anticipation at getting to see his father again. This time as a warrior, but his spirits dropped for a moment when he realized SkyClan wasn't there yet. Sighing inwardly, he took a seat next to his mother.

Brindlewhisker nodded at Shellwater's words, not watching or listening very closely as the Queen conversed with Otterleap and Gustpaw. "I'm Brindlewhisker." She mewed, finally introducing herself as a gap in the conversation opened up. Attention waning once more, she watched as Furzethroat and Kindleblaze joined the conversation, absently flicking her ear in greeting towards the younger pair. Quickly she found her gaze roaming once more, searching briefly for the familiar pelt of Thistlefall- she hadn't seen much of him as of late and that fact kicked up a twinge within her chest. "All she-cats? I would have grey hairs if I was raising only she-cats." Brindlewhisker projected politely once more, returning her attention to the conversation at paw.


Shallowpaw nodded at Frogjaw's words, more satisfied with the Warrior's answer. "It still doesn't excuse their rude behavior- any cat would think someone gave half of Windclan crowfood to eat at the last Gathering!" He reflected, tail whisking at his own thoughts. Looking up at Tawnystorm and Frogjaw once more, he continued to listen in on the Warrior's conversation, a tad bit to lost to project anything of importance into their conversation, but lacking the confidence in his surroundings to stray from their sides.


Shadewillow hurriedly followed suit after Shadowclan, holding his breath slightly as the foul scent of all the mingling Clans made his nose wrinkle. Slipping his way through the stifling crowd, he brushed past others rudely as he searched for any worth conversation partners that weren't tied up in little knots of cats, squinting slightly as he scanned the crowd. Unable to spot Twistedtail's frame immediately, a familiar cream dilute pelt caught his attention, and he found himself quickly padding towards the young Riverclan apprentice who was currently seated with a tom closer to his age. Approaching the pair, he dipped his head briefly in greeting before directing his attention towards the pair politely."Long time no see," He purred to Acornpaw, "After that empty-headed display of yours last time we spoke, I'm surprised to see you still on your paws and not picked off by some creature." He teased, words as relaxed and friendly as they would be if spoken to a Clanmate.

Pantherlily watched as Shadowclan entered the crowd of cats and she sighed. She wanted this gathering to get over with.

Wildfang padded into the clearing, his muscles rippling under his dark pelt. The tom tried to casually glance around, hoping he'd spot the familiar pelt of Spiderfur among the crowd.

Cloudstone seated himself comfortably under the Great Rock among the other medicine cats, looking far more relaxed as he usually looked. Leafbare was ending, and the herbs would return. However, with the melting ice and snow, a flood could wipe away the new growth at any moment. That made this new season somewhat bittersweet. The black tom nudged his apprentice, Bouncepaw, in a sort of encouraging way. "I'm glad you're not feeling as nervous this Gathering." His ears twitched at the mention of his name, but ignored it as it was somewhat off-hand.


A little she-cat followed behind the rest of Windclan, anxious as ever. Spiderfur was conflicted on how to feel about the tom across the border. She looked over the heads of the other cats, standing on the very tips of her paws in order to see, and actually spotted who she had been looking for. Should she go over to him? On one paw, if she did, her Clanmates might look at her strangely for preferring to talk to some other Clan cat besides them. On the other, she was afraid to seem rude to Wildfang, and she couldn't do that! So she attempted to "pointlessly" meander over. 'Don't be suspicious. Don't be suspicious.' Okay. She reassured herself that any cat that knew her would label whatever it was that she was doing as normal behavior. She was awkward, and wary and often scared of most things.

"H-Hi." After what seemed like an eternity, she was able to reach him.


Thunderclan was still one of the last clans to appear, and Darkstar wasn't that keen on changing that. Her three legs made it slightly more difficult to appear on time, although she surprised she hadn't come much later; there was a bit more snow than expected, despite the changing seasons. Bright green sprouts emerged from under her pawprints in the snow. The thick-furred leader leaped onto the Great Rock, nodding at the others. She quickly noticed that Fishstar was absent yet again, and she could only wonder for a moment if the older she-cat had finally keeled over. But no, there was no new cat among the deputies. Well, at least she knew Fishstar as a leader better than Ivyfall. A thought crossed her mind that Thunderclan could take back Sunningrocks if they wanted, as they would soon be better warmed by a Newleaf sun. However, she didn't quite take the possibility seriously. Despite her wish to have the stones under her domain, she didn't want to risk yet another war with Riverclan.

Lionspark had a bounce in her step as she came padding after Darkstar. For her, things had been going well for the she-cat and she felt like she had her head in the clouds. Her training with Cloudpaw was going well but what had her in such a chipper mood was the feeling of love. For her, things had been going splendid with Bramblefrost. Whenever her old mentor was around, she found herself so lost at words. He was such a charmer and...Oh there was no way to properly explain how she felt for him. She sat down by herself, to caught up in her own joyful emotions to bother speaking to anybody else.

Sparkpaw followed in behind Darkstar, eyes the colour of her namesake scanning for Beetlepaw. It had been a while since she'd seen him, and was curious to she how he'd been going with his training.

Leopardpaw followed the rest of his clanmates down into the clearing.  Glancing around, he felt a tad bit nervous.  He had always expected that at his first Gathering he would be by either Grasswhisker or Mottledwing's side; but that was not to be.  Mottledwing had vanished without a trace, and Grasswhisker had recently died while giving birth.  The thought struck a painful chord in the tom's heart, and he sighed.  

Recently he had begun to withdraw himself from the few close friends he had in the clan, mostly due to his grief.  He did not feel very social, and had not wanted to come to the Gathering.  He didn't care less about meeting the other clans, and would have preferred to stay back home, sleeping in his comfy nest.

Drawing to the side of the moonlit area, he sat down and surveyed the crowd.  He watched as Darkstar jumped up onto Highrock, and the rest of his clanmates began to mingle.  His pose tense, the golden spotted tom prayed that no one would approach him.

Wildfang cast his eyes to a moving figure and watched as Spiderfur slunk over. He let out a quiet chuckle at her shyness.
"Hi there," he greeted with a soft tone. His dark pelt was glossy and seemed to shine as he shifted his weight. He gave the Windclan warrior a smile and sat down. He beckoned for Spiderfur to sit with him.

Dreamleaf trudged into the clearing, her fur was much thicker now, making it harder on her legs now. She padded over to where the Medicine Cats sat and settled down.
"Hello, Honeydrop! Who is this?" Dreamleaf asked, looking down at the apprentice. The old Medicine Cat nodded to Bouncepaw as well in greetings.

Pantherlily turned her head as a golden pelt caught her eye. She watched the apprentice pass by and noticed that he crept over to the edge of the clearing and sat down. Pantherlily let out a heavy sigh and she rose from her spot. The black she-cat approached the apprentice and sniffed.
"Why're you sitting here all lonely?" Pantherlily asked curiously.

Leopardfang followed at the heels of Thrushstar, looking after him as always, although he did his best not to be too obvious. He was doing his best to keep himself distracted, as he had been for the past several moons. Things with the clan were finally beginning to settle down and conditions were even favorable for the nocturnal clan. Leopardfang couldn't have been more proud than he was of his clanmates' dedication and loyalty that had been preserved and strengthened throughout the cold season. Still, not everything was ideal. There was always something wrong.

Though they were physically and emotionally separated by a great distance, the tension between the deputy and Shimmerheart was suffocating. He couldn't even look her in the eyes, so he didn't bother trying. Leopardfang kept her out of his mind by patrolling and hunting constantly, checking up on apprentices, and generally staying as far away from camp as he could manage without abandoning his duties as deputy. It wasn't his fault, and he didn't owe her anything. So why did thoughts of her consume him so much? The spotted tomcat gave an uncommitted grunt in greeting to the other deputies but otherwise ignored them.

Tigerflower walked into the gathering, as serene and reserved as usual. Sh saw a RiverClan warrior speaking to her mother and decided to give her some space. Maybe she needed the socialization. The she-cat found a nice isolated spot and glanced up at Thrushstar, wondering briefly just how old the leader was ad how much fight he had left in him.

Mousefang was also there, and he mostly followed Swiftpaw to make sure that idiot didn't get himself into trouble.

Puddlepaw followed behind Honeydrop, apprehension mounting as they arrived at the clearing. Still, her bright blue eyes were wide and excited. Finally, I'll find some friends my age who can empathize! She slowly sat next to her mentor, close for comfort, and swiped her tongue over her muzzle, turning to Dreamleaf with an impressed gaze. "I'm Puddlepaw," the young cat mewed, trying her best to appear charming. "The, um, medicine cat of Shadowclan—er—and, um, who…might you be?" She stared at the other apprentices, all of them much older than her, and felt a twinge of bitter disappointment. Only one, a white and ginger tom, seemed around her age, and she looked at him for a second longer, debating.

Mapleclloud filed in with the rest of the clan; only one more to go. She took her seat in the middle of the gathering of cats, waiting for someone to come talk to her. She was excited to be at her first gathering as a warrior, and hoped that she could meet some new cats from other clans.

"I'm Dreamleaf, Thunderclan's Medicine Cat," she replied with a big smile.

Lichenpaw padded into the clearing after her clan. She looked around with moss green eyes before her gaze looked to Leopardpaw and she padded over to him quietly and say with him with a click of her tail She smiled.

Jaysong padded into the clearing after Darkstar. She glanced around to see that Windclan,Riverclan,and even Shadowclan was here before them. Silently she looked around before the young warrior went and say by herself.

Ambernose had padded into the clearing with Shadowclan. She smiled some as this was her first gathering as a warrior. She padded over joining Silentstorm and Littlebrook

Blazestrike padded into the gathering behind Thunderclan. He took a seat, staying quiet.

Sandpaw flicked his tail in annoyance as he padded over to a spot away from any other cats. The red tom didn't particulary really like anybody except his sister, Cloudpaw.

A light orange tom with blue eyes padded into the gathering behind Sandpaw. Stonepaw followed his brother and took a seat beside him despite the impatient toms glares.

Cloudpaw flicked her tail nervously as she padded in after Lionspark. The she cat stayed near her mentor where she knew it was safe.

Ghostpelt followed close behind her mate Pineeye. She took a seat next to him.

Briarfoot padded in after Ivyfall.

Silentsong padded in after his mother. The quiet tom took a seat near his brother Bramblefrost.
