Driftpaw stood there cowering. Why was Emberheart like this? Driftpaw was pathetic, a fluffy snivelling mass of fur. She was nothing. A warrior aged apprentice, she was the same age as Emberheart and probably had more sense than the russet she; but what did it matter if you were an over sized mouse? It didn't

Driftpaw gazed at the fight, her muscles tense and eyes widening with fear. The cream ears of the fluffy cat lay flat against her head and her fluffy tail curled around her paws. As Driftpaw watched something began to build up inside her, rage most likely or hatred. She hated Emberheart, everything about the russet cat she loathed. The tension in her muscles grew and she couldn't stand it any longer.

"STOP!" she yowled her voice loud and clear, no stutter evident. " I'm sick of you Emberheart! Waltzing around like a leader just because you had several pathetic like rats with my father! You caused all of this, no, you caused most of my current pain. Do you know what it is like to watch your parents at each others throats because of some mouse brained cat? No of course not! You have everything, a family ,friends and a perfect life." She hissed her voice quivering with anger. This was the most the dusty she-cat had ever spoke, but she wasn't done. Driftpaw had just begun.

" You take pride in ruining everyone's lives! You ruined mine and now your ruining this cat's life because you found a stupid bit of prey that smelt like ShadowClan. Your pathetic, Emberheart. " Driftpaw spat her words icy and cold, but at least the truth was out.

The dusty grey cat stood there, her fur bristling and amber eyes blazing. The cat that stood there was not the same cat that had left ThunderClan, it was the cat that had chosen to return.

Hazeflight rushed to Blazeflight's side. Why did all her friends end up being horrifically maimed or killed. It wasnt fair. "ThunderClan, WindClan and SkyClan, you're all the same. Pathetic heartless rogues. You don't care what you do to others, you all have perfect little lives." She hissed. The silver queen turned to Shadewillow, her face contorted with rage and grief. "I'm so sorry, I brought it upon all of you... I just... You know what happened. It didn't help and now look where it got us. Another cat that payed the price because of me and my actions." She meowed her voice soaked in grief.

Hazeflight walked forward then paused. "Oh, by the way, Emberheart. A real queen should be in the nursery looking after her precious kits. And if you wanted to know my kits are doing very well, they're fine apprentice and will actually be taught honour. ThunderClan should follow in our excellent example, maybe then they'd be peace between all the clans If they followed the code; like ShadowClan." She called out.

Blacktwig's eyes were ablaze as he stared at Driftpaw. "The kits did nothing wrong; and Emberheart is still my sister," he defended quietly. He was still furious at the queen, but Driftpaw was going too far. He looked down again, at the injured Blazeflight. I... I don't know what to do, he thought despondently.

Shadewillow let out an irritable sigh as everything dissolved into further chaos, shifting his paws to allow Blazeflight to lean further on him. Lifting his chin as he glanced at the remaining Thunderclan cats, eyes dropping to slits as he watched the duo turn on one another, snapping and hissing. "What's done is done," he growled, "Whatever issues you have with Emberheart can be resolved back in your own camp- which is where you should be. It would be wise for you to speak to Darkstar, give her a fair warning in case trouble arises from this." He mewed curtly, voice raised above the clamor, tone cold as he addressed Driftpaw. Turning to look at Blacktwig, his eyes raked over the rather still-shocked tom, "Blacktwig, I think it would be best if you accompany us back to Shadowclan camp- it'll only be fair if you have a chance to defend your sisters actions in person." He mewed, hoping that the Thunderclan warrior would see the sense in his offer and wouldn't have to be dragged there by force.

He listened intently to Shadewillow—this tomcat had more sense than his sister. He raised his tone authoritatively above the yammer. "I suppose I may," he choked out, guilt clouding his troubled pies. He rose shakily to his paws, not giving a glance over his shoulder to look after Emberheart. Clearly the fiery she-cat could manage on her own. Assuming the task, he stepped tentatively forwards. "I'm greatly sorry for my sister's actions—I don't know what that mousefodder was thinking." Blacktwig grimaced for a bit, then remembered her scent of laiche, and how she'd perjure the tale for the sake of her kits. No! Blacktwig's heart lurched, but he had to escort Blazeflight back to her camp. It was the least he could do. His gaze was blank, but he felt as if there was a lump in his throat. "I'm so sorry..." he repeated, maundering under his breath about his kinsperson's devious actions.

"W-wait! You can't leave me here with her! P-please, Blacktwig. We hate e-each other." Driftpaw meowed desperately. The fluffy she-cat bounded forward to stand by her uncle. She glanced at the ShadowClan trio hoping they would let her come too.

"Save your breath," Shadewillow simply mewed, watching as Blacktwig tentatively approached the trio, "There's no need for faulty apologizes for an act you did not commit. I would advise you to start thinking of a more viable story for when we speak to Thrushstar. I don't think he'll take too kindly to the notion that your kin behaved so heniously to 'protect' her kits, when there was no danger even presently involved." He informed the tom, fighting back a newfound wave of irritation over the constant apologizes that the Thunderclan tom kept offering. "What else can be done though. His sibling just cause a new blood feud between our Clan." He thought, ears falling flat against his skull. Gazing down at Driftpaw with narrowed eyes, Shadewillow was struggling to keep his patience from running out- Blazeflight was horribly injured and struggling to breathe, and instead of rushing his injured Clanmate back to camp, he was having to coax the Thunderclan cats into action. "Emberheart is long gone, I saw to that myself," he growled, "In all likelihood, it'll be a few hours before she even thinks of returning back to camp. The situation Blacktwig is walking into an unsteady one and I cannot guarantee full safety. It'll be better for you to return back to camp now and inform Darkstar of what happened." He repeated his previous order, hopeful that the young apprentice would see the importance of his prior order and follow suit.

OOC: Driftpaw is older than Shadewillow by quite a bit.

Driftpaw stood her ground. "Darkstar won't do anything and Emberheart will of more than likely already have returned to camp. You don't know her, she'll be there snivelling to my father about how evil you all are. Not that you are, that's just what she would say. Besides Darkstar would never listen to a stuttering mess like me." she meowed trying to tell the tom to let her be and let her come along. Driftpaw glanced at the crippled Blazeflight and a shiver ran down her spine. The way the ginger cat looked reminded Driftpaw of her past and no matter how hard she tried to tell herself she wasn't, the dusty grey cat would always be a murderer.. Nervously, Driftpaw curled her tail around her cream paws. "Please, l-let me come too. T-they'll b-blame me for e-everything, no o-one trusts me. Not a-after I ran off, but I had to, t-they didn't r-really trust me before t-then either." Driftpaw tore her amber orbs away from Blazeflight and turned her gaze to Blacktwig, begging him to agree.

ooc) I never even said she was younger than him?? All I said was that she was young, as in a young cat so I'm assuming that's where the confusion came from.

Shadewillow ground his teeth, resisting the urge to physically lash out at this point- why couldn't these Starclan forsaken cats just be helpful for once? "If you want to be of use to us, then go back to camp!" He snapped, lips twitching in his overflowing anger, "My clanmate is injured and you won't let us leave because of what? What your Clanmates will think about something you just stood by during!?" He hissed, tail lashing as he observed the apprentices nervous behavior. The muscles in his shoulder were twitching underneath his thick fur, and for the second time today he could feel the rush of cold fury welling up within him, nagging at the little remaining control and patience he had left. "If you're so concerned about how your Clanmates don't trust you, then you should be thankful that I'm not dragging you to the heart of Shadowclan territory to face the wrath of my Clan leader! What would they say if you suddenly went waltzing into Shadowclan territory without any explanation?" He hissed, turning slowly as to make sure that Blazeflight wasn't jostled uncomfortably. Shadewillow glared at Blacktwig and Hazeflight, nostrils flaring as struggled to maintain his remaining composure. "Now let's go," He growled, pupils shrinking in his anger and annoyance, "If we waste anymore time then Honeydrop might not be able to prevent permanent damage." Jerking his chin, he gave Blazeflight a worried sniff before he began to set their pace at a slow shamble.

He looked over his shoulder, anxiously shuffling along. "Driftpaw," he called, flummoxed, "I do believe you should stay here. It's a quick escort, honestly, and Blazeflight is hurt." Blacktwig tried to keep his words as abiding as possible, to prevent himself from reinforcing his troubled posse of fears. He was visibly shaken by Emberheart's actions—and what could was he himself? A blundering, apologetic warrior, no match for the moons he had withstood. His tone grew colder as he mumbled to himself, "None of this would've happened if Emberheart had shut her sorry muzzle and kept her claws to herself for once," with a hiss. Disheartened by the encounter, he trotted along at a slow, grim pace. What'll I say? I was her brother? Think again, pussycat, thought the tom.

Blazeflight followed slowly behind Shadewillow, not bothered by Driftpaw. She only wanted to get back to camp to be in a warm nest, to curl up and forget this day ever happened."Driftpaw, it is for the best that you go back to your camp, explain things to Darkstar. Blacktwig will be back in a jiff to support you, but we need you there to explain the situation." Taking a moment to think, she turned back to face Driftpaws direction once more. "The only way that you can help us is by going to Darkstar and explaining this little run-in. If you dont, then she will 'tell them how evil we are'. Right now, as you can see, I really am not in need of that. So please, go back to your camp." Giving a quick smile to Driftpaw, Blazeflight turned her head around, wincing a little when she turned her neck back, she continued walking forwards, to explain this mess to Thrushstar and seek aid from Honeydrop. Only Starclan knows what will happen when they arrive back at camp.

Driftpaw stared at them, she had said it. Would Darkstar, the cat that had murderers living alongside her and didn't care about her, really believe what a runt like Driftpaw said. " D-Darkstar doesn't trust me! What m-makes you think she is g-going to b-believe my w-word over the t-trustworthy and loyal Emberheart?" She meowed pleading them to listen. Driftpaw stared down at her paws.

Realising the battle was lost Driftpaw turned away. Her fluffy tail dragging along the ground, at least the she-cats had had reasonable points.

Hazeflight stood where she was, unsure of what to do. She was the oldest cat on the ShadowClan patrol shouldn't she be issuing the orders? The silver warrior glanced between the group of cats around her as words of anger and desperation were exchanged. Unlike Shadewillow she understood where the dusty grey cat was coming from, she knew how it felt not to be trusted. Her ears flickered backwards slightly at Shadewillow's rather harsh words. "Shadewillow, you know what it is like not to be trusted as do I. Do not make her feel worse, there was nothing she could of done. Besides if she tried to stop Emberheart who knows what would of happened, seeing the way they distest each otther. " she meowed calmly. Someone had to try to remain calm and by telling herself it would all be alright, Hazeflight was doing a better job than she thought the could. Hazeflight turned to face Driftpaw. "If you have issues with Emberheart, like Shadewillow said, you should speak to your leader or deputy. I'm sure Darkstar and Blizzardshine can help, they seem like reasonable cats to me." the silver cat meowed gently. With a curt nod to Driftpaw she departed with the rest of the patrol.
