Little Eagles Are Born In Hazey Skies(closed)

She knew she was having his kits.Since the moment her belly had started to swell,she had know she was having Eagleheart's kits.Hazeflight had almost immediately begun avoiding everyone,even her time she spent with Flamepaw,her apprentice,was brief.But now her belly was huge and hiding it from her clan mates would be harder than ever before.This was when she had left.

Hazeflight was bounding through the snow,racing towards Highpine."Eagleheart!Eagleheart,the kits...They're coming!"she yowled gasping for breath.The moment she was at Highpine she collapsed.Her flanks were heaving and Hazeflight begged no patrols would come past.The silver she-cat stretched out a paw and grabbed a stick.She was nervous this was the first time she would ever kit.

It was calm until the pain came.A wave of pain rippled through Hazeflight's body.This was the moment they were coming."Eagleheart!"she yowled in pain.The she-cat gasped in pain,but it was worth it.A small bundle was now by her side,it was a little Bengal she-cat.Hazeflight purred despite her pain.

OOC:That was Hollykit.

OCC: Don't worry he'll keep his mouth shut. Just needed to add him for a plot he has with Eagleheart. Also, I'm going by the assumption Eagle didn't know he was having kits because they never talked.

Rippedpaw was stalking a small sparrow when the sound of a pained yowl reached his ears. He raced over towards the highpine. To his shock, a she-cat lay on the cold ground. Beside her, a small, newborn kit lay. She is kitting! He realized and his head spun briefly. By the smell of her, she was a Shadowclan warrior. He'd seen her at the gatherings a few time. Hazeflight, right? He was pretty sure that was it.
"Hazeflight, I'm not going to ask what you're doing over by Skyclan territory yet. Just tell me what to do," He flicked his tail hesitantly at the kit, silently asking if he was allowed to lick the small bundle to warm it up.

Hazeflight nodded.She had no idea what to do."I-I don't k-know!"she hissed.At that moment another pain rippled through her body.The silver she-cat hissed in agony,clamping her jaws down on the stick in an attempt to soothe the pain.At the end of this bout of pain lay a small black and white tom with amber eyes just like his father.Hazeflight pulled the little tom in,giving him an affectionate lick.
OOC:Poptart Badgerkit is born.

Rippedpaw paused mid-lick as a thought popped into his head, "Is their father Skyclan? Do you need me to get him?". He figured that's why she had been out this close to birth. There would be no other logical reason for it than a forbidden romance. Not his place to judge, just time to act.

Hazeflight stared at him.Should I tell him?Eagleheart needs to be here,he needs to know,he needs to see them.She blinked a couple of times.Hazeflight knew the kitting wasn't over and it would make her feel more reassured to have Eagleheart by her side than some strange tom."Y-yes,please do.It's...Eagleheart.Please hurry."she mewed reluctantly.

"Eagleheart!?" Rippedpaw recoiled in surprise. That prideful, harsh warrior is a father? He briefly thought back to the other tom's rude welcome to Skyclan. The glares and hateful words always directed towards the former Windclan cat. Rippedpaw shook his head, "Right". His paws carried him back towards the camp where he ran into the warrior right before he reached the camp entrance. Thank Starclan I just caught him.
"Watch where you're going, Windclan," Eagleheart spat the last word out as an insult. Rippedpaw ignored him. There wasn't time for quarreling.
"It's Hazeflight," The apprentice hissed lowly. Eagleheart's head snapped up and he opened his mouth to say something, but Rippedpaw continued," She's having her kits. At highpine".
My kits? Eagleheart's mind raced. He hadn't even known she was having kits! Without a moment's hesitation he raced after Rippedpaw. Any thoughts of their dispute had evaporated. When they reached the highpine, Eagleheart rushed to his mates side.
"Kits? I didn't even know you were having kits... what am I going to do? Are you okay?" He stumbled over his words as he set to work licking Hazeflight's cheek. Rippedpaw went back to licking the two small bundles of fur that sat on the forest floor and nudging them towards their mother's soft, war belly plump with kit milk. For a second, Eagleheart stopped to shoot Rippedpaw an unhappy glare, but he kept his mouth shut and didn't dare to say anything now.

Hazeflight purred loudly as Eagleheart arrived."I'm fine...I would of told you,but I had an apprentice to mentor.He probably realised I was having kits and my absence from camp,except from to mentor Flamepaw,I doubt has gone unnoticed. "she mewed calmly.She was relieved and even relaxed for the moment.But that moment was short lived as another river of pain flowed through her.As before another bundle lay there,a small silver tabby tom.Hazeflight smiled and pulled him in close to her belly,then she turned to Rippedpaw." Thank you,I really owe you."

OOC:Caysuna,Marshkit has been born.

Rippedpaw nodded in acknowledgement to Hazeflight's words, but didn't say anything in reply. He was still in shock over what was happening. Of all people to have an out of clan relationship, Eagleheart... The apprentice already knew this was going to cause some trouble. Not just for Eagleheart, but also for him. Because he'd stumbled upon the warrior's secret, it was only one more reason for Eagleheart to hate him.
Eagleheart tried to hold back the panic rising in his chest. Not only was he becoming a father, which prior to now he didn't know, but his secret was threatening to get out. What will we do with them? Where will they go? Skyclan or Shadowclan? Will cats figure us out? Of course, Rippedpaw already knew. However, Eagleheart knew that either threatening to rip his throat out or find a way to get him out of the clan would easily shut him up. The brown and white tom shook his head, amber eyes focusing on his mate as she writhed in pain. He would deal with everything else afterwards.
"You're doing great, Hazeflight," He muttered softly, continuing to lick her. The tom shuffled uncomfortably. This wasn't his area of expertise and he wasn't sure his actions were doing much.

OOC:That's all of them!

She nodded.How many more kits was she going to have?Three was horrendously painful,the thought of having more made her head feel dizzy.Hazeflight knew there was more to come and when another round of pain ran through she pushed.And again at her paws lay a kit.This time a fluffy calico she-cat.Hazeflight reached out her paw and brought the she-cat in close.

Moments later there was another round of pain and another small kit lay at her paws.This one a murky grey she-cat.Despite her pain she purred,bringing the she-kit in close to her warm belly.Hazeflight looked down at her belly and could tell there was just one more to come.She heved a sigh of relief and leaned over giving Eagleheart an affectionate lick.

This was it.The final round.The pain came and then was gone.Like before it yielded another kit.This one a fierce dark grey she-cat.Hazeflight brought the last kit close to her belly.It was over,no more pain.A purr rumbled in her throat,here she was with six beautiful kits and Eagleheart.The pain was worth it,but she didn't feel like ever having kits again.

Hazeflight lay there staring at her kittens with kind blue eyes.They were perfect,but now what were they to do with them.She'd leave that question to rest,for now.Her gaze flickered from her kits to Eagleheart."What she would we name them?I can't believe there is so many.They're all beautiful don't you think?"she purred.

Emberkit looked around. She didn´t knew anything. All things were so strange. And scary. And noisy.
So she tried to move; it did not worked. Fear came nearer, but then desapered when she felt that something warm is near her. It was a big body (as she thing). her mother.

Hazeflight glanced at the little calico she-cat.The she-cat reminded her of an ember with all the orange, black and white patches around her.Gently she guided her over to her belly."How about Emberkit for this one?"she meowed.Hazeflight looked at the other kits trying to decide on a name for them.The dark grey she-cat looked as feirce,proud,intelligent and strong as a wolf.Maybe Wolfkit for this one,"Her gaze landed on the little black and white tom.His fur and build reminded Hazeflight of a badger with it's stocky build and small ears."And Badgerkit for this one.You can name the rest,I'm exhausted"she purred shutting her eyes in a long slow blink.

Marshkit wiggled and mewed between Badgerkit and Emberkit. His tiny white paws scraping the ground as his shoved against his siblings to get closer to his mother’s warm body. When Emberkit and his last siblings were pushed close, his little nose wrinkled at the crowding and of all the scents all around him. He pawed harmlessly at Badgerkit with a mewl and clambered blindly over his black and white brother’s body for a better position to nurse.

Emberkit heard something. Someone was talking and saying names, but when one of the names was said, Emberkit knew that it belonged to her. "Emberkit..." she tried to say, but from her mouth came only quiet and strange voice.

Badgerkit mewed delightfully at the sound of his name. He wriggled closer to his mother's belly as he sucked.

OOC:Yo,Leafstream cannot know until the big reveal.It's safe til then.That will be soon though and Hazeflight will dump Badgerkit and Hollykit in SkyClan camp with their father.Such a great mother.

IC:Hazeflight purred as the kits scrambled over one another.Their brash and clumsy ways could bring a smile to any cats face.She looked up into Eagleheart's eyes then leaned over and Nuzzled him.
