Field Trip! (Open, kits and queens get in free!)

Morningfog giggled to herself, she would be leading a kit patrol to the Broken Pools! She had gotten the kits excited about it late in the night and to apologize to the other mothers, she would handle them today. She waited by the edge of camp for the kits to gather, making sure none of them got left behind. Morningfog would do anything for kits, that was most likely the reason she dove headfirst into the gorge before Shinykit was born and in her apprentice days, she rescued a kit from the rapid river. With a loud purr, she sat down, anticipating the loud noises the kits would make as they got to see past camp for a bit.

Bouncekit went with Morningfog, seeming only a bit interested as they entered the Brokenpools. He nuzzled his mother swiftly, then ventured on to see the shattered water. His paws were freezing, but it was worth it. He didn't need his mother to do everything for him! Little did Bouncekit know, when he got older, he would wish he was a kit again. The water touched his paws, and it shocked him all through his body. He shivered, and although sleek and agile, the water stung his paws.

Ospreykit bounded after Bouncekit,his paw pads hurt as he ran,but it would be worth it.He couldn't believe how beautiful it was and how the sun reflected on the ice casting this place in a strange and gorgeous light.The mottled tom stuck his paw into the water in curiosity,but he quickly retracted hissing as the cold bit at his paw tips.Ospreykit glanced back at Morningfog a wide smile spread across his small goofy face."This is so cool,Morningfog!"he mewed excitedly racing back off to explore.

Bouncekit nodded in agreement, jumping around. He explored the place, with so many crevices he would never tire of. He skidded across the ice, until the thin parts shattered beneath his paws. He fell in, whimpering. He successfully managed to climb out, fur dripping. He looked at the water with horror. He walked away, shaking out his fur, and settled on solid land.

Ospreykit giggled as Bouncekit fell in.He jumped up and down frolicking on the ice.His little ears perked as he heard a crack and he quickly darted to dry land.The little tom shook out his fur and gave it a quick groom.Purring loudly,he returned to the ice.He enjoyed slipping and skating around on it and it brought joy to him.

"Careful," warned Bouncekit, without breeziness. He walked over to Ospreykit cautiously on the ice. He looked at the tom-kit, brown with so many different, various shades. Bouncekit continued on, shifting from patches of safe, sturdy earth, to ice.

Yellowkit was looking his siblings with amazement and interest. He was too shy to exposed himself, so he just watched. His heart almost froze, when he saw what silly things were they doing. For few moments he even closed his eyes. Then he finally went nearer to his siblings and joined them.

Ospreykit smiled as Yellowkit joined them."Hey,Yellowkit.Wanna come play?"he asked.The tom bounded off, slipping on as he went.It was strange for him to see the fish flitting around beneath the ice,as everywhere else was so barren.

Yellowkit smiled when Ospreykit called him. He answered: "Sure. What can we play?" He asked looking around and focusing on the frozen river, which separated fish from cats.  He licked himself and slowly walked nearer the river. He put on of his paws on the ice, which didn´t burst as he tought. "Ice is very tough." Said he to Ospreykit and then put another paw on the ice.

"Huh?" She said as she passed Morningfog on her way back from a hunting patrol. I thought kits can't go out of camp until they're apprentices! The kits weren't 6 moons yet, it would be extremely dangerous for them to go out of camp. "Are you sure about this?"

Silence was all that Bouncekit drew, as he looked up at Greygaze. He nodded, painfully unaware of the danger that the kits were putting themselves through. Although he was quiet, that didn't necessarily mean that he was wise... yet. His green-amber eyes read: All grown up. Bouncekit seemed excited... internally.

Greygaze stifled a nod when he saw Bouncekit's determination in his eyes. Perhaps they are mature enough! She thought, relaxing herself. "O-K, then." The tabby warrior looked towards Morningfog, still a little shocked. "Can I come along?" She asked.

Settling himself on dry ground, Bouncekit padded towards his mother. Once again using body language as opposed to words, he flicked his tail towards Greygaze, nodding. Yeah, he thought. I'd like Greygaze to come! Bouncekit curled around his mother's white paws.
