Kit Life (Open to all kits and Queens)

Spottedkit looked around the nursery, blinking a few times to get used to the dim light. It was early in the morning, a bit before sunrise, maybe. The young kit stumbled to her paws, pacing around the nursery and waiting for another kit to wake up. She REALLY wanted someone to play with her.

Heatherstripe opened her eyes, blinking herself awake. The queen smiled at the sight of Spottedkit. Not often was there a kit that enjoyed mornings as she did. "Spottedkit? Good morning, there..." she laughed, beaming at the kit. She supposed this one wanted to play.

The young calico she-kit smiled up at the Queen. "G'morning, Heatherstripe!" Spottedkit greeted her happily before pouncing on the Queen's tail playfully.

Rippedkit sat straight up and looked at the other kit with his head tilted. He was not one to play. The little, almost pure black tom would much rather be out observing clan life.
"Hey, Spottedkit, wanna go outside?" He mewed.

Spottedkit let go of Heatherstripe's tail, looking to Rippedkit. She smiled. "Sure! Let's go, Rippedkit!" The young kit said, excitedly bounding outside of the nursery into camp.

He padded after with much less enthusiasm than she-kit displayed. With a patient curiosity, he poked his nose out of the nursery for the first time. The smells and colors of all the clan cats hit him at once and his eyes widened with surprise.

Spottedkit's eyes widened at the scene displayed in front of her. There were cats, cats everywhere! The smells and scenery of the camp overflowed into her senses, filling her soul with delight and amazement. The little kit turned around to Rippedkit. "Isn't this awesome?" She asked enthusiastically, hopping up and down.

"I can't believe there are so many cats in one place..." Prior to leaving the comfort of his nest, he would have never been able to imagine that this many cats could be living in camp. Everything was a bustle of activity, each cat seemed to have something to do.
He turned to his eyes to his denmate, eyes burning with a quiet excitement as whispered, "Someday we are going to be warriors like them".

Sprucekit woke with a start,what were all the other kits yowling about?Sprucekit stretched lazily his muscles rippling underneath his dark brown coat.The tom padded out of the nursery as he spotted the two other kits.The dark kit blinked his glowing green orbs as he emerged into the sunlight.The smells of Windclan camp overpowered him,it smelt so new and strange.Sprucekit plopped himself down yawning."What are you two doing?Looks like you woke up the whole camp,"The mischevious kit mewed with a smile.Sprucekit glanced at the other kits, then he smirked.The young kit lowered himself close to the ground then sprang at Spottedkit.The large kit bowled her over.Sprucekit laughed smiling."That was fun!Hey,you know what we should do,we should sneak out of camp.You know explore the territory,"mewed the tom still laughing.Sprucekit personally felt exploring the territory was a great idea,but the other kits might not be so keen.Sprucekit sat, watching to see if any other clan cats had over heard what he'd said,so far it looked like no one had.

Spottedkit batted at Sprucekit's face, grinning. She bounced up to her paws, then frowned. "I dunno about that, Sprucekit. I don't want my ceremony to be delayed!" The little kit exclaimed, looking to Rippedkit.

The brown tom leapt back with a smile as she batted at him.Sprucekit frowned."C'mon Spottedkit all the other kits sneak out."He mewed.The tom flicked his tail and glanced around looking for something to do.The tom's eyes shone as he thought of a new idea the three could do."Hey if you don't want to go explore we could go see the elders.They always have such good stories to tell,"he meowed.Sprucekit pranced around the two kits in a circle before spotting a butterfly and bounding after it.

The kit had no success at catching it and soon returned to his friends.

Spottedkit shrugged. "Alright, they are pretty cool." She bounded a few steps after Sprucekit before turning to Rippedkit. "You comin', Rip?" She asked, gesturing to the Elders' Den with a smile.

He nodded and padded after them slowly. Sprucekit's idea to sneak out of camp had made his pelt prickle with curiosity, but Spottedkit was right, they couldn't delay their ceremonies. He wanted to be made a warrior as quickly as possible. For now, the tales of the elders would have to keep him entertained.

Spottedkit trotted into the Elders' Den, sitting down to listen to their stories. Her tail swept around her feet before unraveling, over and over. She resisted the urge to yawn at the boring tales of love and mates and whatever. Why couldn't they tell cool adventure stories? These stories about finding 'true love' or whatever made Spottedkit want to vomit.

Rippedkit tried his hardest to focus on the dull tales the elders were rattling on about, but his eyes kept shifting around. He flicked his tail toward the den entrance and whispered quietly enough so the older cats didn't hear, "Maybe we should check out the rest of camp? Unless, you are enjoying this".
