Shatteredkit, Greykit, and Silentkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" Fishstar yowled. It felt strange to be sitting on the willow branch again, after an entire moon of being gone..

Morningfog stirred up the leaves on the grown with her tail in excitement as she slipped back into the nursery to nudge her kits out into the clearing. She purred happily. "Come on you two, it's time for your ceremony!"

Silentkit smled as she bounced out of the nursery. Smokeface , sitting besides his mate, gave her a fatherly snuggle, then sent her off to the group of gathering cats. He beckkned ihs only son with the same warm smile and nudged him up ahead as well, blinking warmly, with a growing pride in his stomach.

Shatteredkit eagerly raced after Silentkit, today was the day! He, and his siblings, would be apprentices after today! The young tom couldn't contain his excitement. Yet, as he neared the rock that his leader stood upon, he forced himself to calm down, not wanting to look like a newborn kit.

Greykit bounded across the clearing and stopped just under the Willow branch. She held her tail high, knowing today she'll be a apprentice!

Fallowpaw had decided to attend. She had been strangely quiet lately, and much more observant. Leaping over like a frog, the apprentice sat down, and waited for the ceremony to commence.

More paw steps caught the older kits attention, he glanced behind him at his other sibling, then noticed an older apprentice that he hadn't met yet. His attention didn't last long though, for he quickly became excited again for the event at the front.

Squirrelkit followed after her mother, barely hiding a scowl. 
Her apprentice ceremony wasn't that day. She wouldn't be getting a new mentor. She wouldn't learn how to hunt and fight until later, after her siblings.
She let out an impolite grunt and sat down next to Morningfog, in their places.
The small kit's fur was puffed out as she glared at her littermates being apprenticed before she'd even gotten the chance.
I should be happy for them and not moping all the time and blah blah blah.
Maybe it was because she'd snuck out too many times, or had been too mischievous in the past. Well that's not my fault.
Squirrelkit stared at Fishstar gloomily, waiting for him to say his next words.

"Shatteredkit, Greykit, and Silentkit, please step forward," the leader said, motioning with her tail.

Shatteredkit stepped forward, pride radiating from his observant green gaze. He couldn’t wait to become an apprentice, find out who his mentor was, train with his den mates.

Greykit stepped forward.

Shatteredkit watched as his den mates stepped forward, along side him. He couldn't help but smile at the thought of becoming an apprentice.
