A Windy Tour [Closed Patrol]

Nightheart looked at the sun as she walked towards the apprentice’s den, taking a deep breath as she looked inside. It wasn’t that early anymore, and most apprentices and mentors were already either gathering more cats for their patrols or already training somewhere else. She, however, knew that this was the first day of training for Spottedpaw and not that long ago she had been able to sleep for as long as she wanted, and so she decided to take it somewhat easy on her for now so she could adjust to her new rank better.

“Spottedpaw?” With a smile she looked inside the apprentice’s den, looking for the younger she-cat.

Spottedpaw yawned, rolling over in her nest. The small apprentice stood up and shook out her pelt, padding over to Nightheart with excitement in her eyes. "Are we going on a tour?" Spottedpaw asked excitedly, smiling widely.

Nightheart nodded, padding out from the apprentice’s den and towards the camp entrance “I’ll teach you the whole territory, I suggest you to try to remember it and get used to the sounds and scents around it. If you have any question, don’t hesitate to ask!” With those words, the dark warrior padded out of camp, constantly looking back to make sure that Spottedpaw was following her and she wasn’t going too fast. She had a route in her head already, which would allow them to reach all the key spots in the territory and still give her enough time to explain them to the younger cat.

Spottedpaw bounded after her mentor excitedly, slowing down whèn she knew she could keep up. "Cool!" Spottedpaw meowed excitedly, looking around the moor in awe.

“As you can see, most our territory consists of open Moors with tall grass. The temperature changes are kind of harsh thanks to this, but you’ll get used to it” Nightheart smiled at Spottedpaw as they walked “But the hill we live in and this clear sky…it makes our clan the closest one to StarClan and our ancestors, a kind of joy no other clan will ever be able to have” Nightheart smiled while looking at the sky, the soft breeze making the long grass start it’s hypnotic dance.

Spottedpaw smiled, looking up at the clouds and purring.

Nightheart stopped on a nice spot and looked at her apprentice “Tell me, what can you hear and smell?” She just wanted to know what kind of aspects she would need to work on with her apprentice.
