Welcome to My World [OPEN]

Sheepnose had been in the nursery for a while, caring for her kits: Sedgekit, Galekit, Driftkit, and her newly-adopted kit, Fernkit. No, the little brown tom wasn't her biological son, but she would still love him as much as she loved her biological daughters. Of course, Sheepnose realized that she would have to speak to Fernkit, like she had with her other kits, about StarClan being a false tale, and she'd have to do it as soon as possible, but not now. She gave Fernkit a swift lick on the top of the head, lovingly.

Sedgekit lifted her head up, staring over at Fernkit. She still didn't like that she would have to share her mother and her nest with a stranger. Her small eyes narrowed at the tom kit before lowering her head to rest on her paws again. All she wanted was for Fernkit to be gone, she only wanted Galekit and Driftkit to be there.

Driftkit looked over at Fernkit he looked boring.He was just another kit to get use to and that would take a while.The fluufy she's tail flicked showing that she was annoyed.Driftkit glanced over at her sister she didn't like him either she could tell.The dusty grey padded up to her mother and littermate snuggling close to them."I don't like him,Sedge,he seems so weird,"whispered the She-cat in her sister's ear.

Galekit hated Fernkit. Not like the other kits. She loathed him, they were probably just irritated by him. But the thought of Fernkit, somebody new with all of their mother's attention, just made her so irate. Her fur prickled even at the sight of him. She curled her lip and looked away. She wouldn't even bother wasting her breath on the little scrap of fur.

Grasskit didn't even notice the hostility towards the tiny, brown kit and barreled towards the cluster of kits.
"You guys wanna do something?" She mewed cheerily, "I'm bored".

Galekit eyed Grasskit oddly. "No..." She said quietly. She shuffled away from the colourful-tempered and bright-eyed she-kit. "I don't." Galekit didn't even bother to apologize for her notably harsh tone.

Grasskit shrugged off Galekit's tone as if the words were nothing and looked expectantly at her other denmates with her head cocked.

Driftkit looked at her then back at the floor.Swishing her tail irritatedly,couldn't the other kits leave her alone?The dusty grey she looked over at Fernkit,hissing slightly.The sisters didn't like him and he should know that.Driftkit looked at the new kit again."No,I don't want to play."She meowed with a hint of annoyance in her voice.THe kit turned her attention back to Fernkit,gazing at him coldly.

Why does Driftkit act so much like me? Can't she leave me alone? I guess she isn't as bad as Grasskit. Galekit thought in a whirlwind. She followed Driftkit's gaze to Fernkit, with the same stern expression at Fernkit. Who did this new kit think he was?

Fernkit glared at the others kits with a stern expression and then quickly glanced over at his mother. He wondered what she was thinking, and if she loved him like she would her own.

Halfpaw ducked her head slightly as she entered the nursery. A shy smile grew on her muzzle as she looked at all of the kits.
"Hi there, Sheepnose," She greeted her fluffy white kin, softly, "Hi you five!" She then said to the five kits, even Fernkit. She was glad that the little tom had been adopted by Sheepnose.
"Why do you keep glaring at each other? Your littermates! You should be smiling." Her tone assured the kits that she was just being playful, but she was still curious as to why there was so much hostility being exchanged in the nursery, and between kits too. Shouldn't they be happy that they had a new playmate, and, above all, more family?

The small tom cracked a smile towards the beautiful cat that had just entered the nursery. He realized that she had made a valid point, and decided to try to have a conversation with some of his littermates. "Hi driftkit! wanna play?"

Galekit resisted scowling, and looked towards the pretty tortoiseshell apprentice instead as she entered the nursery. "Hey," Galekit mumbled as she entered.

Galekit raised a non-existent eyebrow at Fernkit. "No." The she-kit grouched simply, turning her greyish back on the tomkit.

"Okay then!" the small brown tom hissed as he walked over to the apprentice that had just entered the nursery. "Would you like to play with me?" the small didnt understand why no body woud play with him.
