Antkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Crowstar called out, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!"

Antkit trotted proudly out of the nursery. Today was his big day, he was sure of it! Being the leaders son, he would work extra hard to please his father. I'm going to grow up to be respected just like him! The small black cat thought to himself, giving his fur a shake. Of course he couldn't predict the future, but Antkit would always have high hopes.

ooc: I know about the mentor thing already

Crowstar looked down at his son. "The time has come to make a kit into an apprentice. Antkit please step forward."

Stepping forward, Antkit held his head high. He looked up to his father, sniling at the thought of training as an apprentice. I wonder who my mentor will be.

Oh yeah, I sorry ;;

"Antkit, from this moment forward until you earn your warrior name you will be known as Antpaw. Pebblethorn will be you mentor." The leader then jumped down ending the ceremony.

P-Pebblethorn?! Excitment arose in the kit's eyes. Wow! Pebblethorn, the deputy, his mentor? What an honor! To the apprentice, there was much more than just her being the deputy that got him excited, but for now, best not say anything. Looking around, he tried to find his new mentor, although he was a bit overwelmed to really focus.

Pebblethorn smiled and padded over to greet the newly made Antpaw. "I can't wait to train with you! It'll be so much fun!" She exclaimed, lowering her head to touch noses with him. The she-cat had grown as close as could be with this tom, which was just discussing things and talking. Which was nice, she needed a break from the hardships of being deputy. "We will start training tomorrow, 'kay?" She mewed.

The newly named Antpaw touched noses with his mentor. It sent a shiver of excitment and joy down his spine, but he tried to not show it. "O-Okay!" He meowed with a smile. He couldn't wait, this would be so great!
