February's Gathering 2016

Soulcloud padded in after his best friend, Wildfang, and sat down next to him. The newly appointed warrior flicked his tail and waited for his mate, Cinderstream, Wildfang's sister to arrive.

Cinderstream padded into the gathering after Soulcloud. The dark gray stripped tabby she cat blinked her greenish-yellow eyes and sat down next to her mate with a purr. She glanced down at her belly, it was a little round, and then looked over at her brother and smiled at him.

Eaglepaw saw her adopted mother and padded over to her "Hey Cinderstream" she meowed purring

Viperpaw padded into the clearing of her first gathering. She padded over to the edge of the clearing and sat down neatly using her fur to somehow camouflage herself against the background. There are clans for a reason! I don't get why we have to meet up every moon! We should just keep to ourselves and only see each other when we fight! she thought angrily, a low growl bellowing from her throat. "I just don't get the point!" he mewed, loud enough for anyone to hear.

Foxpaw had found a spot amongst that chatting cats but knew none of them and was trying to worm his way into a conversation.

Amberpaw sat down quietly looking around to see if he could socialise more this time instead of being a worry wart.

Eaglepaw saw Amberpaw and walked over to him "Hello" she meowed "I'm Eaglepaw" she meowed her ears twitching as the wind blew

Night laid inside a patch of mushrooms outside of the clearing to disguise his scent. If some cat smells his scent, he hoped that it's faint, and they think it was from the last gathering. He wanted to see this gathering, no, he needed to see this gathering.

"Hello Eaglepaw, I'm Amberpaw. I've seen you around camp a bit!" Amberpaw purred, he needed to be much more social with his fellow clan mates and that is exactly what he would try and do from now on.

"Nice to meet you Amberpaw, how's training going?" she asked looking at him

Icestorm, Cedarfur, and Smokepelt padded into the gathering with their clan. The clan had been greiving from the loss of Falsonstar and a change in scenary was nice. Icestorm followed his mate Ashwing as usual but realized she was deputy now. With a small sigh, he sat down where he was. It would be a good opportunity for her to get to know the other clans and he didn't want to disturb her.

Smokepelt looked around, not really knowing where to go. He looked around, seeing his father looking lonely and trotted up to the older tom. "Mind if I sit with you?" He didn't wait for an answer and sat down. "Just like old times, right?" He had honestly missed his fathers company, but growing older meant straying farther away from comfort.

Ah, what a wonderful night for a gathering. Well, that was if you took away the death of Falconstar, the traitors of ShadowClan, and so forth. The overly tall tom gave a sigh and glanced around. Same cats, same gathering, same mood. His son, Kestrelstorm caught Cedarfur's eye. Is he still upset? He trotted over to Kestrelstorm and sat down next to his kit. "Are you still mad about the new deputy thing?" He looked ahead of him at nothing particular and there was a hint of a teasing tone as he spoke.

The charming tom shook his pelt as he trotted into the gathering with he clan. On the way he'd lost sight of Mossheart and desperately looked around for her. A lot had been going on in ShadowClan, and he wanted her at his side. No matter what happened, she always made him feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Mudfoot heard a familiar voice and looked over to see Amberpaw and another apprentice. It's nice to know my apprentices get along with others well. He gave a deep purr.

Webpaw looked around Fourtrees, he was amazed by the amount of cats in one place. He couldn't single out a single scent with so many jumbled together around him. Webpaw soon looked to Foxpaw, giving the WindClan apprentice a friendly look.

Foxpaw gave a nod to the Shadowclan apprentice and padded over to him, "Hello I'm Foxpaw from Windclan, what's your name?"He purred as he found another friendly cat, although some didn't want to admit it there was a tension that remained even though the gatherings are about peace between clans.

"Yes." Replied Kestrelstorm gruffly. "I was the obvious choice, and the one Falconstar wanted." His claws unsheathed for a brief second until he remembered where he was. "My own mate doesn't want me as a leading companion."

The last Gathering had ended horribly. So why was she here? Was it some morbid curiosity? Spiderfur had no clue. She followed the rest of Windclan into the clearing, eyeing her brother warily. He had really wanted to be deputy. So much so that she slightly worried for their aunt's safety. Well, she always worried for her family's health, but now it was more so than usual. The warrior seated herself near a group of cats, not close enough to be noticed, but just enough to feel warmed by them. She groomed her slightly swollen stomach out of nervousness. What was going to happen at this Gathering?

Lightfoot trotted in after WindClan. He gave Ashwing a friendly nudge before starting off in a separate direction, sitting near Smokepelt and Icestorm. He didn't want to disturb the two--they had been close ever since the loss of Smokepelt's brother when he was an apprentice--but simply stayed off to the side, scanning the crowd and hoping for the best as usual. The white tom would be disappointed when the snow melted, honestly. For once in his life he could achieve absolute stealth and secrecy, and no one would be any the wiser if it weren't for his blue eyes and pink nose. The white warrior looked around at his own clanmates. Where were his kits, Rowancloud and Daisypatch? They had become so independent. He was somewhat lonely, even surrounded by clanmates. Though they had separated, Lightfoot still missed his deceased mate.

Leopardfoot walked into the clearing as usual, his face a completely expressionless mask. He didn't have very high expectations for the gathering to come. Thrushstar was obviously... disturbed, and with newleaf close by, the other clans' rivalries would be flaring up and sparking new wars. Territory would probably be disputed, and someone would try to drag ShadowClan into it. Again. Hopefully the night-clan would be able to stay in control of their members long enough to not make fools of themselves this time around. The spotted tom peeled away from his mate and went to the area the deputies sat, not recognizing a she-cat that was already there. "Hello. I don't believe we've met." He said, keeping up his manners. "Am I to assume you are a stand-in, or will you be here more... permanently?" It was the only civil way to phrase 'is your leader dead?' and be as least offensive as possible.

Tigerpaw hurried into the clearing after Viperpaw and Webpaw. She was not even the youngest of the litter and she was still the smallest. The little tabby apprentice decided to follow her brother and tagged along behind him, watching him interact with Foxpaw. She was interested in the other clans and how they behaved; apparently they were very different, and she wanted to know how. Her only instructions were to not make ShadowClan look any worse than they already did, and she figured she couldn't screw that up.
