December Gathering 2015

Thrushstar stared at the other leaders and senior warrior with surprise. Windclan wasn't giving Skyclan their territory back? That was not good for either Skyclan or Shadowclan. Sure, his clan was growing, but he could not hold up against Windclan on his own yet, especially if they decided to randomly attack. He couldn't let that happen. He was not going to let Windclan get him on two sides. He had already ruined his chance of some kind of understanding with Windclan long ago when they attacked Skyclan alongside Thunderclan. Not only that, but Windclan was practically dooming Skyclan and Riverclan do die this leafbare. There was no way Riverclan had the room or territory to keep Skyclan through the whole season, and Skyclan had nowhere else to go. While Skyclan was good to Shadowclan, they certainly didn't have the room either.

When Fishstar stepped up, however, he couldn't really believe his ears. Why bring that up now? They were already arguing over how Skyclan was going to survive this leafbare, and now the Riverclan leader brought Thunderclan into this. In a small sense, Thrushstar was relieved that Shadowclan was entirely out of these situations, but the alienation was a little strange. But that's what he wanted when he first became leader, right? For moment, the Shadowclan leader opened his mouth to say something to calm down the arguing leaders but stopped. He needed to think this through. Stay calm. Let them fight it out and make a decision on that.

Quite frankly, Heronpaw was completely and utterly shocked. The leaders were giving each other quite a hard time, and she was surprised to hear that the filthy Windclan cats didn't want to give up Skyclan's home. Despite the fact that the she-cat she liked was next to her and in Skyclan, she didn't necessarily enjoy Skyclan being in her camp. She wanted them at home, but this? And taking back Sunningrocks? Had the leaders lost their minds?! She sat, mouth wide open and listened. Yep. They've gone crazy.

Feathertail wanted to protest. She never supported taking land from others. She wasn't even apart of the raids. She wanted to tell Breezestar they would get their land back soon, but she wasn't sure what was going though her father's mind. It was honestly confusing. She didn't look to Spottedstar for help. No, she wasn't going to stoop that low. She had her pride.

But they needed the land. If only they talked with Riverclan about the whole dog situation. They probably could have worked out some arrangements, but no her father was stubborn. Her eyes flicked back and forth between to points on the rock before, her head turning up to Breezestar in a glare. Her green eyes cold, and unforgiving. She was returning the sharp glare he was giving her. "Brave words coming from such a small clan. Try and do as you wish, but Windclan does not fear you, or Riverclan. But as far as I am concerned this gathering is over. There is no reason for my clan to be here anymore." They could make threats all they pleased. As far as she was concerned they were too weak to do anything.

With that the gray warrior jumped off the rock, and walked away from the gathering area, her head held high. She was not ashamed for what she had done. She was prideful for defending her clan. With a flick of her tail the warrior leading Windclan disappeared back into their territory.

"Come on Withersnap let's go my love." Blizzardwind stood up and shaking his long legs and getting some of the dust off of his silver and light gray spotted pelt. He blinked some dust out of his pricing pale ice blue eyes and flicked his mate gently fly with his long tail and then padded off after Feathertail, hoping that Withersnap was behind him.

Cloverpool blinked as the Windclan cats left, she then shrugged and looked up at Spottedstar.

Cucumberpaw's eyes followed the Windclan cats with her pale blue eyes. Her cream pelt was ruffled by a cold feeling of a war coming soon.

Mapledrop narrowed her eyes. How dare Windclan say they won't Gove Skyclan their camp back. The dark red she cats darker red stripes stood up as her fur bristled and she hissed, her warm liquid amber gaze now cold and clouded with anger towards Windclan.

Swiftpaw walked away into RiverClan's side, eyes wide. Nightpaw said good-bye to Swiftpaw, then walked away into ShadowClan territory. Snowstorm glared at the WindClan cats as she followed Breezestar back to their territory.

Featherpaw kept silent, uncertain how she felt about going to war with her previous clan, but her sister, Vixenpaw yowled fiercely in agreement at Fishstar's claim to Sunningrocks. Vixenpaw was all for Sunningrocks being reclaimed, this was RiverClan territory, and she saw no reason for ThunderClan holding onto it.

All of Icee's cats had been present since the beginning.

Mistfeather, though she was accepting of her sister's choice to take back Sunningrocks, felt hesitant about declairing war on both WindClan and ThunderClan on this night. Glancing at Thrushstar and Breezestar, she prayed they would help RiverClan's cause.

Rainpaw, although he had once called himself a ThunderClan cat, cheered along with Vixenpaw at Fishstar's claim. ThunderClan was cruel, driving out his father, not fighting for him and his sisters to stay, and the stories he heard about their ruthless ambush on RiverClan's camp many moons ago were horrible. The light brown tom felt a strong fire light in his heart at the thought of tearing through his old clanmates. He hissed aggressively, a smile on his face.

Acornheather sat there.
So did Magpiewing, though he was pleased to hear his name spoken, and worried for his leader who would most definately be caught in the center of this new war.

"Careful," Emberleaf growled to the Skyclan warrior whom barred his teeth at him. A flash of fearsome anger blazed in the tom's grey eyes as he stared at the Skyclan cat. His loyalty lied fully on Windclan and Falconstar. It was so strong, that Emberleaf would die for his leader and clan, even though he was a medicine cat. He had to defend his leader and Windclan in any way possible without fighting, and this was it. He said no more to the Skyclan tom, but his menacing glare spoke all that needed to be said. When Feathertail jumped off the rock and left, Emberleaf stood up and followed right behind her with his head held high. They can mock us all they want, I don't care, because they will be crying for mercy when we tear their eyes out.

"The only cruel act we committed was having our territory next to yours," Frozenflame hissed under his breath quietly at Fishstar's words so that only the cats around him could hear. "Because our cats have to suffer living next to you." There was no way that that Spottedstar would let this happen. Thunderclan would fight...and win...to keep Sunningrocks. He watched Windclan leave silently.

Spottedstar stared at Breezestar and and Fishstar. "Over my dead body will you take our rightful land. You declare war on two big clans, it is not a wise choice." that was all she said to the fish bag. "As for you" she looked towards Breezestar. "Yes you may be mad, but my alliances reside with Windclan." she announced it, hoping the warrior heard it as Windclan left. "I may not agree with what they did, but I do not judge based on their needs. If needed, you shall ask Riverclan or even myself for some help. With recent losses of mine, I am willing to help another clan out, I no longer hold any grudge against Skyclan." finally, she looked at Thrushstar. "Don't get dragged into anything and get fur clawed off your back. But same goes to you, if an alliance is what Shadowclan ever wants, Thunderclan will be here while others simply fight." with that she flicked her tail and also leapt off the Great Rock, leading Thunderclan away. "We are leaving!"

Bluesong let out a gasp of pure shock. She held back a yowl of disapproval. This was really bad! Bluesong got up as Spottedstar announced their leaving and she took a glance around at the Gathering. Riverclan couldn't take Sunningrocks from them! No way.

Dreampaw looked at the sky warily, knowing full well that this would soon and most likely will, turn into full out chaos. She looked at Nightfire then at Spottedstar. Her ears twitched with impatience. Their clans didn't need this, and not in leaf bare! If the warriors got hurt, they wouldn't be able to get the proper healing... Dreampaw's mind droned on about the possibilities of disaster.

Firepaw let out a small yowl of approval. Finally Riverclan was making their move on those weak Thunderclan cats! They couldn't stop Riverclan, for they were mighty! Firepaw's eyes glowed and she grinned as Spottedstar gathered her patrol.

Sandfeather just sat there. There was nothing she could do. She knew this would all turn out horribly in the end, but she'd have to wait and see. She would let the other clans resolve this, no way was she getting involved in this.

Cloverpool got up and followed. The tortisehell warrior disintegration approve of what her leader said and it was plain as day on her face, and she was loyal to her clan till the end but that didn't mean she had o like it.

Cucumberpaw followed her sister, mouthing a sorry and a goodbye to Halfpaw and Troutstep.

Mapledrop sneered. She thought it was about time that Riverclan and Skyclan stood up to Windclan and Thunderclan.

When Spottedstar began speaking to the Shadowclan leader, he was slightly taken aback but listened anyway, giving a a huff of what sounded like a chuckle as the other leaders tore at each other with their words which stopped when the Windclan warrior stormed off with the rest of her clan. "Spottedstar, you tell me this as if I haven't been doing so since I became leader," he meowed lightly with a hint of a joke. It was strange that the Thunderclan leader was suddenly turning over a new leaf, offering this alliance. What had gotten into her fresh-kill pile? It didn't bother Thrushstar but it was odd. "I will keep that in mind. Thank you for the offer." With that, he turned around and leaped off of Greatrock, yowling at Shadowclan to follow him back to camp. This gathering was over as far as he was concerned.

Rabbitwhisker watched the departing ThunderClan leader with utter confusion and a good dose of anger. Turning around to the nearest fellow SkyClan warrior, he whispered loudly to them. "Did she just forgive us for her invasion of our camp? She attacks us for herbs and then tells us we're forgiven? I think Nightfire's fed a few too many poppy seeds to her." The brown tabby was definitely miffed at WindClan and ThunderClan, murderous foxhearts the lot of them.

The fur on Lightfoot's spine rose in anticipation of further hostilities, but fortunately Feathertail got out of there pretty quickly. He felt mostly pity for the she-cat; it was too bad that all of this was hoisted on her in the last minute. The experienced warrior padded quickly to her side as she jumped from the rock, moving to shield her from angry glares much as a deputy might for their leader. Lightfoot's tail flicked behind him and his pace was filled with dignity as he stuck close by Feathertail all the way back to the territory. It was obviously Falconstar's will to keep the "SkyClan's" land, but his daughter had the misfortune of sharing it. The white warrior would support his leader entirely in whatever decision the ancient tom made. No cat made it as long as Falconstar did without being a smart and strategic leader, which few of the others seemed to be.

Robinflight was calm and motionless inside the outraged crowd. Hadn't RiverClan already declared war on them a moon or so ago? It was pretty petty of them to hold on to such grudges. That battle they spoke of so vehemently was seasons ago, and if they couldn't use more recent history to foul the name of ThunderClan, then obviously their leader was ripping open old wounds to manipulate her own Clan into fighting a war that they may or may not even have a chance of winning. Fishstar is a fool. The calico thought plainly, wondering how no one had figured out that she was using them to fight personal battles. It would be more honorable for her to challenge Spottedstar personally, but she must sense her own weakness. It would be easier to use others for her bidding instead, wouldn't it? As for Breezestar, none of his threats carried any weight. He and his Clan were glorified kittypets who thoughts they could make it in the dangerous forest. WindClan must have proved them very, very wrong. Robinflight began to wonder when SkyClan would end up being dissolved into RiverClan, who had been patronizing the imitation Clan since their first "return" to the forest. Whatever. The she-cat was done with all of these senseless animals anyway. She followed after her grandmother, picking up a slow and careless pace.

Leopardfang's whiskers twitched. This would have been funny if it weren't so contemptible. RiverClan picking the same battle with ThunderClan, incited over.... who knows? SkyClan filling themselves with the idea of being big when they were like a bunch of little kits in their imaginary Clan. WindClan with its brave leader coincidentally absent after a sudden aggressive streak. It was actually becoming irritating to the ShadowClan deputy. These leaders were old and stuck in their ways. If they didn't get out of the way and let a new generation of leaders rise, they would surely bring the forest down around them. Leopardfang hadn't seen WindClan's deputy in a while, but perhaps a young warrior with a heart of prudence would arise. ThunderClan's deputy, though seemingly absent this moon, would be a good change of pace for ThunderClan. Someone perhaps a lot less haughty than Spottedstar would do the Clans a load of good. As for Mistfeather of RiverClan... she seemed collected, but if any trace of her sister was beneath the cool surface, then RiverClan would be doomed to an all-consuming war for yet another generation of leaders. Leopardfang almost snorted at the thought of SkyClan's next leader. He didn't know who the deputy was, but if they were any more assertive and aggressive than Breezestar had become lately, they would probably be mauled at the first mention of war. Only Thrushstar was making a good decision this gathering by remaining completely outside the conflict. The spotted tomcat trotted at a leisurely pace to Thrushstar's side, nodding his agreement with what his leader said. "You are a good teacher to me, Thrushstar. I will always remember your tranquility in the face of other Clans' affairs." His deep voice rumbled, genuine and sincere. "There is much even the other leaders should learn from you. I sense their thirst for unnecessary bloodshed and it disturbs me."

"Careful of what, a medicine cat? I'm not afraid of Fox-heartClan" Snowstorm growled under her breath so only she can hear. Someday, all their apprentices will become powerful and fierce warriors, and WindClan will beg them to spare their lives. Just you wait and see, Falconstar. Your used to be brave warriors will be left shaking in their flee-bitten skin. she thought, picturing her thoughts. After all our apprentices completed their training, we won't be a "small clan", no, we'll be almost as big as Fox-heartClan. And, when our warriors give birth to kits, the cycle will start again, then we'll be even bigger then Fox-heartClan she thought again. She will mock and threaten WindClan all she wants. She will mock them like a mocking jay, and threaten them like a pack of dogs.
