Batten down the Hatches [OPEN for SKC - Staff Generated Event]

Everyone is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to participate in this plot. And to do this, please make a post with your cat in camp in this topic. Also you must roll the effect dice once with one of your posts. There is no limit on posting however, and no posting order. Feel free to have kits play together, apprentices do chores and warriors chat.

Despite the distant rumblings in the ever darkening sky, Rabbitwhisker set about organising the night patrol. It looked like tonight's patrol might be cancelled due to the potential pouring rains, but a quick dash around the territory just before it hit could still be a possibility. So he gathered all he could, the brown warrior standing somewhat awkwardly in the clearing asking cats if they were willing. He wasn't good at the whole demanding or persuading part of organising patrols.

"I know it looks like there might be a storm, but it sounds far away. Just a quick patrol, that wouldn't be that bad?" He said to the nearest warrior, trying to get someone to agree.

Stormwing, who was said nearest warrior, nodded. She had somewhat... taken charge over Rabbitwhisker's patrol plans, getting more cats to join the patrols. It helped, but they may need more cats still.

Staring into the overcast sky with huge, sad eyes, when he heard his father's dear voice, he mewed, "Can I come too, Dad?" Since the dim sunlight of the fall evening was still shining, he figured so.

Rabbitwhisker turned to face his son, narrowly avoiding bumping into Stormwing, his fellow patrol mate who seemed to be infinitely better suited to recruiting fellow cats. He purred with delight at the suggestion, always keen to spend time with family. Something that was getting harder and harder to do as more and more responsibilities seemed to pile up with their few numbers.

"I can't see why not, if you're mentor is okay with it, of course."

With a grin, he cried excitedly, "Yes! Thanks so much, Dad!" Mommy would be so proud to see her son grow up. He ignored the annoying pains of grief and sadness by the gloomy thoughts of Heatherfang and Rockfall. 


He slowly pranced around, warming up for getting ready.

Sandpaw listened to the distant rumble. She bushes out her fur and yawned and stretched. She had to finish her duties before the rain.

Stonespot was growing ever nervous of every little thing, the anxious whirring noise of the clan wasn't helping her at all. Clinging too the ground as if it was the only thing she could use too steady herself with. Stonespot looked up at her clan mates with some envy, she was shaking like a little leaf and they were all as still as the great rock! Stonespot usually stuck to the shadows of the clan, performing her duties slowly and shakily going on patrol but always behind them, until she would hear something suspicious or smell something weird then she'd shoot away like a shooting star and into the trees - she hated trees, they also frightened her to death but they provided good protection from things that dwelled on the ground.
