Huntin' Rocks!

Racing to the entrance of camp, he let out an excited yowl. "Come on, Sandpaw! Hurry up!" He begged, whimpering. His glossy pelt shone in the sun's bright rays, leaving Deerpaw squinting. "I can't see very well..." He whined, heading deeper into the forest of mysteries. 


Birds chirped. Winds howled and swirled. Leaf fall leaves escaped their perches on the long, tree branches, in which snapped every so often. 


It was beautiful. It really was. 


Apparently, it was the late afternoon. And, Rockstar had taught him how to hunt. Fortunately, he loved rabbits and squirrels, but a good, plump bird would always lift his often dreary spirits and thoughts.


Prey scurried in front of the tom, and Deerpaw was holding himself back from catching it. "Sandpaw, go get that squirrel..!" He cried through gritted fangs.

Sandpaw looked at Deerpaw and rolled her eyes. She immediately crouched down and stalked forward. Then she lunged forward and snatched the squirrel and killed it swiftly.
"You're acting weird, Deerpaw," Sandpaw mewed, placing her squirrel into the ground and covering it up.

"A-am I?" He stammered worriedly, glancing at Sandpaw. "I- I wanted to wait for you," He replied.

OOC: Gtg soon so...

Sandpaw shrugged and smiled.
"It's cute," she murmured and lashed her tail as she drew in more scents. She enjoyed Deerpaw's company. He was always so fun and kind.

OOC: Ok

A sudden feel of embarrassment scared him. "I-I am?" He asked, a cold shiver darting down his skinny back. He suddenly stopped, his green eyes full of nervousness.

"Marry meh!" "Uh, Sandpaw?" Deerpaw wondered out loud. But, without waiting for an answer from the pretty she-cat, he did some quick meowing. "Nevermind. I was going to ask 'how about we go and hunt more', but then I realized that I was already hunting..." His voice trailed off, tears rolling down his face.

He couldn't tell her his feelings. He was way too embarrassed.

OOC: Sorry for the randomness~

Sandpaw looked at him with slight concern and curiosity.
"Of course you are," she laughed quietly. He seemed so nervous at the moment.
"Do you want to split up and hunt? See who catches the most prey?" Sandpaw asked.

"Sure!" He exclaimed, an excited leap and a mrrow of happiness along.

Without waiting, he skipped away.

Shortly after his long commute, a tweeting robin landed in front of him. Immediately he crouched, two fierce, angry eyes glued on the unsuspecting bird. With a swift jump and a loud snap, the bird was dead. One piece of prey for me! he thought excitedly, I wonder how Sandpaw is doing? Shaking away the thought, he ran around, celebrating his victory when a sudden squeak took him by surprise.

He honestly thought it was a kit.

But it wasn't. It was a rabbit, which had scared the life out of him. The curious rabbit hesitatingly hopped towards Deerpaw, leaving the tom himself bewildered. "Hello, little rabbit," He greeted, slowly inching forward. Though the rabbit was surprised indeed, he stood there for a minute, pondering of what to do. Get another piece of prey! He decided aggressively, taking a ferocious leap onto the rabbit. Crack! and it was dead. D-e-a-d.

OOC: I dunno know if this is too short or too long so...slong

IC: Sandpaw was leaping all over, prey piling up like crazy. She stretched in the warm sun and continued on. Soon a bird came into her sights. Sandpaw wiggled her haunches and with a powerful leap, jumped as the bird tried to flutter away, her claws snagged it and she brought it down and killed it.

After few more successful catches, he headed back to wherever he was planning to meet Sandpaw again. Carrying the rabbit, a robin and a vole. He felt proud and happy with his catches, and he was eager to see what Sandpaw had gotten accomplished.

Sandpaw, who had been considered one of the best hunters, brought back two squirrels, a bird and three mice. She felt proud of her catches as she raced back to Deerpaw with her head held high.
