SnowFrost approached the river shore and stood there for a while. She felt like she was maturing very fast since she became a warrior. She was no longer over-sensitive and too shy. To her, it was a bit of relief because she didn't think having those traits were good for being a good warrior. Now there she was, alone with nobody to really hang out with. The pretty she cat was really getting bored in her own clan. The river was the only thing that kept her happy at that point. SnowFrost stared at her reflection the river. I wonder what the other clans do to have fun.

OOC: Open?

Also at the river was an apprentice age handsome tom, who was soon to have his warrior ceremony. Ripplepaw was practicing fishing, immersed in the job of thrusting his paw into the water in the hopes of hooking a fish. He was quite skilled at it, actually and had already caught a minnow even though he had only been at the water-bank for a few minutes.

The tabby was about to leap in to catch a trout which glided past, but another figure in the corner of his eye caught his attention and lost focus, flopping ungracefully into the water and scaring the rare delicacy. Dammit! As he bobbed up to the surface and scrambled onto the earth and twisted his head around to the newcomer. Oh no...not Snowfrost! Oh StarClan please let her not see that! Ripplepaw begged in his head, feeling the blood rush to his cheeks.

He hadn't realised he had been standing there dripping wet and staring at Snowfrost, and snapped out of his trance before shaking out his dark brown striped pelt and smoothing it with his tongue.

I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away."

(Yup)

Something interrupted SnowFrost's thoughts and she turned her head to see what happened. She widened her eyes at the sight of Ripplepaw. She quickly trotted toward the wet tabby and looked at him. "Are you alright?" She stared at him with her blue eyes and waited for him to respond.

Ripplepaw felt like he was burning up of embarrassment and looked up to the older cat. "Oh um yeah, I'm fine." The tabby lifted the corner of his mouth. "Just fell in trying to catch a fish." He chuckled slightly then faded off, beginning to work his claws into the damp earth. Oh why do you have to be so awkward, Ripplepaw! He hissed in his head. You're making such a fool of yourself!

"I see..." SnowFrost looked at the ground for the moment. She remembered this apprentice, he reminded her of Shallowlake. She was an apprentice when she first saw Ripplepaw. She looked back at the apprentice and blinked her eyes. "Do you mind if I join you?" The warrior was about to go swimming anyways, she might as well try to join him.

Surprised at her question, Ripplepaw nodded. "Sure." Ok now, don't embarrass yourself again. He silently meditated in his head while he took his position by the water, careful to not let his shadow fall across the flowing liquid. Soon after settling down, the tabby spotted a flash and he immediately swiped an unsheathed paw into the water, his claw catching on the flesh of a fish. He swiftly heaved it out of the water, finishing it off with a quick bite and watching it fall still.

"Thank you," SnowFrost responded nicely and walked to a spot on the shore. She bent down and waited for a fish to swim by. After a few moments, she spotted a fish and leaped high in the air. Her tail was pointed backward and her hind legs were in the air as she touched the surface of the water with her front legs. She quickly unsheathed her claws and swam over to quickly grab the large fish. SnowFrost bit its head and swam back to shore using her powerful legs. This young warrior was strong despite her medium size. She covered the fish with some reeds before facing the river's direction again.

Rainpaw gazed into the clearing and shouldered her way into the clearing. "Hey, Ripplepaw, Snowfrost." She meowed, laying down on a stone.

Ripplepaw admired Snowfrost's strength as she brought the kill onto the shore, his dark blue eyes round in amazement. "Wow, great catch!" He meowed. "Oh, hey Rainpaw! Why don't you come and join us?" The tabby would have rather been fishing, just the two of them, but being that Rainpaw was his sister he had to offer her a place.

SnowFrost looked at Ripplepaw. "Thank you," she responded and glanced at Rainpaw. "Hello, Rainpaw." The apprentice (Rainpaw) also reminded her of Shallowlake. She remembered her also from the time when she was an apprentice herself. She stared at Rainpaw and waited for her to respond to Ripplepaw's question.

Streamheart walked over to the river and noticed Rainpaw, Ripplepaw, and Snowfrost. "Hi guys! Fishing, I suppose?" She asked.

Rainpaw smiled at her brother. "Okay, thanks!" she mewed. Turning to Snowfrost, she stood up and dipped her head. Another cat approached them, and she turned to Streamheart. "Hi, Streamheart. Yes, they're fishing. I just got here, though." she replied.

"Oh, I see." Streamheart mewed kindly. She walked over to the easy-flowing water and spotted a dark shape. Scooping it up with her paw, she sunk her fangs in it, killing it. "This'll do good." She said, putting it gently on some grass.

Rainpaw padded silently up to the river and spotted a shape in the flowing water. Reaching over, the she-cat scooped the fish up and let it fall to the ground harshly. She'd heard the fish's bones snap when it hit dry land, so she didn't bother biting it. Looking over, she saw that the warrior had snagged a fish and was setting it on some grass. "Good catch!" the she-cat meowed.

"Thanks! You too!" Streamheart said happily to Rainpaw. She began to look for more.
