Gingerpaw finished and cuddled close to her pal. She began licking his cheek.

Dapple paw blushed. "Um, Gingerpaw?" He asked.

Gingerpaw was about to fall asleep until she heard a voice. "Yes?" She slowly turned her head to look at Dapplepaw and slowly blinked her eyes.

"Well, you know, um.. Well, you know you're my best friend... And well, I kind of wanted to be..." He stopped there, hoping she got it.

Gingerpaw fell asleep when he stopped talking because she was tired. He would need to get her up before speaking to her again.

Dapplepaw rolled his eyes. He prodded Gingerpaw with his paw. "Wake up," he said. Then he decided they probably should sleep after badger incident. He layed down and fell asleep.

After hours of sleep, Gingerpaw opened her eyes and yawned. Oh, I'm not in the camp. I guess I was that tired. She sat up and watched Dapplepaw sleep.

Dapple paw yawned. He woke up. He saw Gingerpaw looking at him. "That reminds me," he said. "I tried to ask you a while ago, I said, since we are best friends, I was wondering if we could be more than... That" he said.

Gingerpaw just looked at Dapplepaw. She was just speechless, yes, she loved him and he loved her. What else could she say except accept him? Affection grew in her eyes the longer she watched him and a smile came with it.

Dapple paw licked her cheek. Even though he didn't get an answer, he saw affection in her eyes.

Gingerpaw smiled and return his lick. "Sure," she purred and blinked her eyes.

Dapplepaw smiled. He looked up. "Hey, did you realize it's night?" He asked, looking up at the stars.

"Yes, Dapplepaw," Gingerpaw mewed warmly and cuddled closer to him. She then looked up at the stars and curled her tail around Dapplepaw's.

Dapplepaw smiled. He looked at Gingerpaw happily. Looking up at the sky, he noticed one was extra bright. Sadly, he knew someone died a bit ago. Sad. He thought.

Gingerpaw had left Dapplepaw alone for a minute to hunt. She heard something by the trees and looked over to see what it was. She saw a plump rabbit that her best friend and her can share. She licked her lips with satisfaction and stalked towards the critter. Her tail was pointed and she avoided the things that would quickly give her away. The apprentice knew that was downwind so she didn't bother checking again. When she was close enough, she pounced on the rabbit and slashed its throat. Since she knew it was dead now, she grabbed it by the throat and dragged at back to Dapplepaw. "Hungry?" Gingerpaw laid the rabbit down by her partner and sat down by him.
