Shallowpaw was horrified for his mate, but he ran up and pounced on it's head, beckoning for Shimmerpaw's help.

Shimmerpaw joined Shallowpaw on the badger. She scratched and clawed and jumped and shoved its head underwater, drowning it.

He heard a muffled roar, saw bubbles floating up, and felt the badger sink into the water. "Let's get out of here!" he mewed, worried about his mate. Shallowpaw crawled up on the bank. "Now, where were we?" he purred in an accent.

Shimmerpaw followed Shallowpaw out of the water and laughed at his funny accent. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the motionless body of the dead animal float away. "I think we were here," she said as she was about to eat her food. She suddenly noticed that it had been trampled by the badger in the fight. She felt her tummy growl and she looked up at Shallowpaw.
