Owlkit and Maplekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Dewstar climbed the Highrock and called out the familiar call. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

Owlkit limped out of the nursery her ear flicking it was her day to shine. It was her and another kit's apprentice ceremony. Her fur Clean, nice and well groomed she slowly limped up to the meeting place waiting for it to take place.

Maplekit padded out from the nursery with Owlkit. Her fur was half decent, but she knew this had to be her apprentice ceremony, so she groomed it.

Padding out of the apprentices' den, she sighed softly. There had been so many ceremonies lately, none of which her own, and it was getting a bit repetitive. However, she wasn't going to ruin the two kits' apprentice ceremony, as she very clearly remembered how excited and nervous she'd been before her ceremony. Padding up to Maplekit, she jokingly licked her on top of her head, smoothing a rebellious tuft of fur she'd missed. "It seems you missed a spot, silly. Excited?"

Maplekit nodded as she turned to the apprentice. "I'm very excited! I've been waiting for this day for a while." Maplekit sat down and curled her tail around her paws. "It's going to be fun being an apprentice!"

Coalpaw trotted out of the apprentices den. 'Oh, more apprentices!' she thought happily. Coalpaw sat down, curling her tail over her paws. 'I wonder if Maplekit and Owlkit are becoming apprentices today!'

"Owlkit and Maplekit, you are old enough to become apprentices and learn the way of the Clan. You shall now be called Owlpaw and Maplepaw. Bramblestripe shall mentor Owlpaw and Flameclaw shall mentor Maplepaw." She jumped down and returned to her nest.

Maplekit...or Maplepaw was now jumping up and down. "Yay!" She exclaimed. Then she searched for Flameclaw in the crowd of cats.

Coalpaw padded up to her new denmate. "Looking for Flameclaw?" she purred. "If you are, he's right over there," Coalpaw meowed, pointing with her tail.
