July Gathering 2013

Twistedfoot sighed softly as he listened to Lavanderheart mutter softly to herself, understanding her distaste. She wanted to see her home one last time...and while it was across the borders, they hadn't done anything wrong! However, when Lavanderheart suddenly spoke up, he looked at her in shock. She wasn't...but she knew she was going to. He flickered her tail, his eyes wide. "Don't do it, Lavanderheart. We should talk to Raccoonstar about it first," he whispered in a hush tone, his voice shaking. He knew that settling this fight would be a smart thing to do, but if she clearly stated that two WindClan warriors crossed the border, it would be bad for WindClan's image and it would make them look weak. He frowned softly. Although, he knew that Lavanderheart would most likely not mention him, but if she was going to really do it...He wasn't going to let her do it alone.

As soon as the warrior spoke up, Gingerheart's eyes immediate locked onto the Lavenderheart. How dare she speak out in a Gathering? Didn't she know it was against the rules? She narrowed her eyes at the Windclan warrior. Of course, it was just like Windclan to break the rules. First they crossed the border, then they want to speak out? They were a disgrace. But the longer that the leaders talked, the more she kind of wanted to hear Lavenderheart speak. If Sagestar wanted to allow it, then she guessed that she could too.

Mossstar eyes whipped over to Lavenderheart as she spoke out, kind of admiring the warriors bravery but speaking out at a Gathering wasn't necessarily the right thing to do. But he wanted to know what she had to say, he said to Raccoonstar "Just let her speak." His growl of irritation wasn't supposed to end that sentence but it did, he wanted to get back to camp. But first he wanted to hear this. He turned his head back to the cats and watched them, eyeing the ones with looks of disgust and anger.

Lavenderheart looked around nervously, being invited by the other three leaders to speak. Even though she didn't like to disobey orders from Raccoonstar, the she-cat thought it was just about time to speak up about this. Taking a deep breath, the WindClan warrior mewed, "You all just think Silentstar disappeared. That's wrong. She left for a reason. Oh, and her kits? My sister's dead and I'm the last of SkyClan. I still know the paths in SkyClan territory, every last step of it." Her voice was still a bit soft, but overall, everyone there could hear her. With a wave of her tail, the she-cat turned around, and followed after Raccoonstar. She wasn't going to admit to crossing clan territory out loud, they should have gotten it themselves.

Mintcloud stared at the she-cat, a bit surprised. SkyClan in WindClan? So that's what happened to SkyClan. That she-cat's definitely going down in legend at some point. Last of SkyClan... If Silentstar isn't dead, then did she leave? Though, for what reason? Did she receive a prophecy to leave? Shaking the thoughts away from her, her gaze watched Lavenderheart, mewing to Duckstep, "SkyClan... That's what that other WindClan warrior meant by 'attached to old clan.'

Fawnpaw didn't know what to say, but sneered that the she-cat had such a nerve to speak out like that during the Gathering. WindClan, always breaking rules now, eh?

Snowpaw looked at her clanmate, not sure what she should do. Perhaps she should go after her? Oh, she didn't know what to do, so she looked around before following Raccoonstar.

SkyClan. The name of the missing Clan echoed in Dewclaw' mind. This is what happened to the lost Clan? She still remembered living with, hunting with, fighting alongside the SkyClan cats when the Deomilites posed a serious threat. She remembered their other leader, Flamestar; his prowess in battle and leadership skills and the way he sought only the best for his Clan. And now that Clan was gone. But this one- this one mentioned a Silentstar and her leaving. For a reason of some kind. I only hope it was a good reason.

Raccoonstar had stopped just in time to hear Lavenderheart's words, the grey she-cat was mad of course but something inside her wanted to laugh, make a mockery of the other cats shock. THe windclan leader gave off a small unnoticeable grin, "Hehe." The windclan leader laughed for a moment before continuing back to her camp finally paying no mind to anyone else in the area not even stopping for others in her clan.

Crowpaw let out a huff. "A Skyclan cat...Willing to trespass and almost cause a war just so she can go visit her old clan's run-down camp. Where's the loyalty in that? Silentstar, whoever that is, should have just taken you with her." He snarled, unsatisfied with her answer. His anger began to get the best of him, and he called out, green eyes blazing.
"Maybe you would have died like your sister then!" He didn't move from where he stood.

Shadeclaw gasped. So there was still Skyclan left? And in Windclan? What else was Raccoonstar hiding? But when the smaller, black Windclan tom spoke up once again, at first Shadeclaw had to agree somewhat. It was obvious now that that she-cat had been the one to trespass, and just to see an old clan. That means she probably missed her clan, which if she was truly loyal to Windclan, she wouldn't have bothered trespassing. Sure, he can understand her missing Skyclan, since she was born there. But she had a new clan to take care of her, didn't she? However, his mouth dropped, agape as he heard Crowpaw's last sentence. That...That was going a bit too far, wasn't it?

Lionheart's eyes widened. She was Silentstar's daughter? And wasn't Silentstar Flamestar's daughter? So a little bit of Skyclan still did exist, and maybe even more than that if Silentstar is really still alive somewhere. His gaze shot over to Crowpaw, who still seemed intent on making this hard for Lavenderheart. A low growl rumbled in his throat. Who cares if she visited the camp? Surely she only did it once, and it was probably only so she could remember old times there, and then leave. Surely she's loyal to Windclan completely, since they raised her.
When Crowpaw said that last thing though, Lionheart couldn't keep himself form letting out a loud hiss of protest.

Reedheart stood in shocked silence, hearing Lavenderheart's news. So SkyClan hadn't just died off, Silentstar had really left. But for what purpose? He wanted to hear more, but it looked like WindClan was already beginning to leave.

He remembered Silentstar, to an extent. She had been younger than himself by a couple of moons, hardly a warrior when she had to succeed her father so unexpectedly. It was a great burden that young cat had to bear, with kits to top it all off...

The nearby WindClan apprentice's words made anger flare up in his murky green eyes. "Only a traitor would wish death upon a Clanmate, so do not speak of loyalty!" Reedheart hissed, unable to control himself. It was only the pale moon in the sky that kept Reedheart's claws sheathed. He didn't have any moral quarrels with pummeling a cat half his size and age after a statement like that.

Mossstar almost gasped at the thought of SkyClan descendants still around. Impossible! SHES Silentstars daughter?! Wow... he thought to himelf. As Crowpaw spoke up a small snarl escaped his throat at the disloyalty which he displayed. He barely help coming down and teaching the apprentice a lesson, but he knew he couldn't without a smack down with Raccoonstar. He glared at Crowpaw before thinking again about what Lavenderheart had said.

Crowpaw's eyes widened, realizing what he just said. He didn't regret it; those wee his true thoughts. But saying it in front of the entire gathering...Probably not his best move. He growled, glaring at everyone. He stalked after his clan, wondering if Raccoonstar had even heard since she was much further up. Speeding up, he bumped Lavenderheart in the side before going on ahead, padding along just behind Raccoonstar. He didn't care if she had any sharp things to say to him, and only would if she happened to have overheard what went on back there.

Sagestar, as much as any other cat in the crowd, was thrown off just as much. He said nothing, but looked at Lavenderheart with a renewed interest. So SkyClan didn't just "disappear", but then where in StarClan's name did Silentstar go? And for what reasons? No, those were unimportant questions at the moment and he shook his head, the gathering's attention shifted to a young apprentice. The tom didn't seem to be affected by Crowpaw's sharp words. He only had his clan in mind as he saw the remains of Raccoonstar's warriors start to retreat, and thought little of the last of SkyClan. "So, she knew very well after all..." The tom muttered with a sigh. About the cats and Lavenderheart, and their sneaking unto ShadowClan land, that was. This was a serious problem, then, if they had a cat that knew their new territory even more-so than they themselves.
In a normal level of speaking, he went on. "I guess this proves how far you can trust WindClan scum. Or at least their leader." He held a slight respect for the black apprentice being able to speak out. Sagestar recalled how he hadn't been so wary of WindClan when Stormeye had been in charge, who was straight forward and honorable... but Raccoonstar. Taking in and hiding a former SkyClan cat. She was unstable and obviously had no issues lying like a snake in front of the entire forest. He couldn't trust her worth a mouse's whisker now. The tabby decided to watch quietly after that, curious about how the rest of this would play out.

Shock had suddenly fallen down on Gingerheart. She definitely wasn't expecting that one. But, it didn't exactly surprise her to know that there was still bits of Skyclan among the remaining four. Of course, she just had to be part of Windclan. With no attachments to the former clan, Gingerheart was more annoyed by the news than shocked or remorseful. She simply stayed where she sat, scoffing at Windclan as they simply left after the news was given. "Well, good riddance," she meowed grumpily. She never liked Skyclan. In some ways, she was glad they were gone. Not for power purposes or anything of the sort, but more because it benefited her own clan. They got more hunting grounds and territory to survive better. They had somewhere else to go in their own land if something were to happen to their camp, and since Shadowclan couldn't exactly trust Riverclan anymore, there wasn't really any place left for them to go if they needed help.

Thrushstripe on the other hand, was completely surprised as was Cinderfur. Both of them had gasped deeply when they heard the news, but Thrushstripe had done so out of Windclan accepting an outside cat whereas Cinderfur didn't believe that there was any Skyclan left. If the Windclan warrior wanted to, she could actually go back and bring the former clan back to life in their territory. That way both Shadowclan and Windclan wouldn't have any advantages over the other clans. That scum. Cinderfur didn't really like either of the clans. Shadowclan was too nasty, living in the conditions they did in the mud and the dirt while Windclan didn't even belong in a place with trees. It was unnatural. What would they even catch in what was the fabled clan's territory? Rabbits? Definitely not. It just made no sense to her, especially since Windclan was nowhere near Skyclan from what Cinderfur had heard in stories. Thunderclan should have gotten it. But, what happened had happened and the young warrior wasn't going to question it much. She was just going to keep her opinions to herself unlike Lavenderheart's own clan mate and that one Shadowclan warrior.

"Wait!" Twistedfoot let out a yowl as he stood up, looking at Lavanderheart. At least his mother wasn't around to here this... "Lavanderheart didn't go to that camp alone so do not blame her alone. I followed her there and even thought I knew going into the camp would mean crossing the border, I didn't go back to the WindClan camp." The twisted foot warrior lowered his head, but kept his voice loud enough for everybody to hear. "I don't blame Lavanderheart for wanting to at least see her old camp one time. But I beg of you all not to blame WindClan as a whole, as we did it without anybody else's knowledge, nor did we truly tell anybody of the trip...I am truly sorry, Sagestar, for crossing into your territory but I swear to StarClan it will not happen again."

Sagestar's ears flicked and his eyes narrowed, "You expect me to believe that?" He spat. The tom was probably covering for his clan or his mate. Even if it was the truth, He was to angry to care at the moment. "And even if I did, what would be the difference? When it comes down to it, WindClan knowingly crossed the border and breached our treaty and their leader open lied about any possability of it occuring. As far as I'm concerned, you lot are never to be trusted again." The ShadowClan leader growled, staring the remaining cats down. Outsiders. Uncontrollable warriors. A way-wired leader. WindClan was a mess.
