Morningpaw's Border Patrol {Open}

Mosspelt followed close by, ears straight up, acting as radars.

OOC: SHort post is short, trying to not get left behind...

Morningpaw narrowed her wide, golden eyes at the sight of the rocks. Except, unlike Swiftpaw she had a different outlook on them. Being a Thunderclan cat through-and-through she had decided that these rocks were rightfully Thunderclan's. It was on Thunderclans territory therefor it was theirs', not some Riverclan know-it-all.

Embershade stared at the rocks that were now RiverClan's. Wow. I was a kit when RiverClan took these.

After remarking the border, Lionstar looked back at the others. "Mosspelt, where do you think we should go next?" He asked, giving his deputy a chance to choose. He would be leader one day, so he'd need the leadership experience.

Morningpaw was growing anxious from waiting and she mentally was nudging the deputy to answer. There were so many things to see and Morningpaw was going to explode if she couldn't explore the vast extenses of the Thunderclan territory.

Ic: Lionstar glanced down, seeing Morningpaw was getting antsy. He sighed and led the way away from the border. "Alright, we are going to see the Thunderpath next, and whatever you do, stay with the patrol. This place is dangerous." He announced, padding in the direction of the Thunderpath border.

When they arrived at the stinking path, Lionstar raised his tail for the patrol to halt. "Don't go too close." He warned, looking at Morningpaw. "Monsters run over the path faster than Windclan, an their paws will flatten you if you're not quick enough to get off the path. Luckily, we won't be crossing, since the Thunderpath also marks the border with Shadowclan."

Morningpaw's golden eyes were wide and excited. The young cat wanted to get closer, to put her small paw on the icky black path, but quickly swallowed her ambitions as a large faul smelling monster roared across the path leaving her face twisted in digust and her heart beating so loud she wondered if her mentor could hear it. With eyes wider than before, the cat looked up at the leader nervously.

IC: Mosspelt followed the patrol the the Thunderpath. He remembered when he was an apprentice patrolling the borders for the first time. The Thunderpath had been one of his favorite places ever since. He stayed back, to make sure if there were rouges behind them he could hear them. He did chuckle though when the monster roared past and the apprentice looked at Lionstar.

Ooc: Seems as if everyone is busy then? x)

Ic: Lionstar flicked the tip of his tail. "I warned you to stand back." He huffed, looking sternly at his apprentice. But there was no irritation in his voice. He couldn't be mad at her; For one thing it was out of curiosity, the feeling too strong for the young cat to force down in order to do as her mentor said and stay back. When he was her age, he was as curious as any other apprentice. It was a sort of thing for cats who hadn't fully matured yet.

"As I was saying, the Thunderpath here marks the border with Shadowclan, as well as Windclan, though just a bit. Over there," He flicked his tail, signaling towards a small area where the grass seemed a bit thinner, leading out to moorland beyond, "...Is where Windclan borders the Thunderpath. Shadowclan is directly across from us, so you can't miss the scent markers on their side unless you're in some sort of panic." The tom explained calmly, a little bit of edge in his tone at the mention of Shadowclan. He didn't really hate them, but he sure didn't like them, either.

The apprentice nodded at the strange, yet fowl stench. Crinkling up her pink nose the kit kept her mouth open slightly, taking in all of the sights and smells. The faint smell left, undoubtedly, from a monster. Taking note she took a sweeping look at the border, almost daring any cat to apear suddenly, I mean, she could take them. She was strong... er, well, maybe not.

Lionstar looked at her. "I think that concludes today's patrol. You know these two borders at least slightly now, I hope. You'll memorize them more when you patrol at other times." He meowed, nodding. "Let's head back."
