Morningpaw's Border Patrol {Open}

Morningpaw nodded excitedly at Swiftpaw and let out a purr of nerves. Playfully urging her mentor to start with a loving head-butt. The apprentice giggled and zoomed around the other cats in a circle, calling out, "We're off into the forest! Off into the forest! Off to do what apprentices do!" Giggling, the kit stopped after a few more rounds and looked up T her mentor with anticipation.

Swiftpaw couldn't resist, she chased Morningpaw letting out the excess energy that she had been trying to keep bottled in. She almost ran into Morningpaw when she stopped, and murowed in laughter about how stupid she was acting but it was nice to have another apprentice that she could have fun with.

"Swiftpaw!" Embershade scolded her apprentice."I don't mean to be so strict, though." She murmured.

"Sorry..." Swiftpaw lowered her head. she lifted it soon though and returned to her regular self. "So when are we going?" She asked politely, now calm.

"I think we're leaving now." She replied. "Are you excited, Swiftpaw?"

"yah i am! i can't wait to get out there!" Swiftpaw smiled at her mentor. "There are so many new things out there for me to see!" She thought of the other clans and wondered if they would encounter any of them as they patrolled the borders.

Ooc: Sorry I've been busy.

Ic: Lionstar nodded and set off, making sure everyone was following. "Remember to stay alert." He whispered to Morningpaw. "We're going to be patrolling the Riverclan border first. That would be Sunningrocks. They'll look tempting to run to, but they belong to Riverclan, so stay with Mosspelt and I."

Nodding, the apprentice took note, narrowing her eyes at the name of Riverclan. Call her old fashioned, but she didn't understand why clans were so trusting of each other. How people so easily went and mated with out-of-clan-cats, as warriors wasn't it their duty to stay true to their clan and not trade alliances with other clans. But nevertheless, when given the chance, Morningpaw was always up for an adventure, wherever it made lead her, even if it did often get her in trouble. So, obediently, Morningpaw followed the leader, nearly jumping as she left the camp for the very first time.

Swiftpaw followed her leader without the slightest hesitation. This was going to be great. She was ready to leave and it seemed so was Morningpaw. She seemed very serious though as if she was ready for something to go down almost, at least that is how Swift read it.

Mosspelt stayed close to beside Lionstar, but every once in a while he looked back and checked on the apprentices and Embershade. Nobody knew what could be out here Rouges, Foxes, Badgers, and even...Dogs, so Mosspelt kept a sharp eye and very alert hearing. He once heard a stick snap and his claws came out but noticed it was only a scrawny piece of prey.

Embershade padded behind the apprentices, also keeping watch.

Swiftpaw kept her senses sharp. Even though this was exciting she knew that the forest could also be dangerous. She wondered if all dogs were like the ones the warriors talked about but she knew this was a crazy thought and shook her head. Once again she returned her senses to the surrounding area.

Lionstar watched his apprentice, nodding in approval. She had good posture and seemed very focused. He paused, looking out towards some large, sun-tipped rocks before them. "We're here. The border is just before us, so don't pass it on accident." He warned.

Embershade nodded agreement.

Swiftpaw looked out over the rocks in wonder, she could now see why these rocks were fought over so much but then she thought of something most cats wouldn't. why don't we just share them if it causes so many fights? she was sure that some cat should have thought of this before.
