Border Patrol for Young and Old (Open!)

Blacktwig padded out of the warriors' den, stretching his muscly legs nonchalantly. The speckled warrior's sleek pelt shimmered in the sun, the tip of his button-like nose glistening with dew. He gave a soft chuckle, as he shook out his pelt. It puffed out satisfyingly, and the warrior broke into a slow trot. He raised his head, and yowled for cats to join him. He felt refreshed by the morning's breeze and fuzzy stems of flowers, such as beautiful waxen daisies. Their petals brushed his paws, and he purred. He then turned his gaze upwards to see the cats he had scented heartbeats earlier.

Softpaw slinked out of the apprentices' den after hearing a yowl. She noticed that it had come from Blacktwig, one of the newer warriors of ThunderClan. Was he gathering a patrol? The dilute tortoiseshell sighed, averting her gaze to look down at the ground.
Should I go...? She wondered, before heading forwards, Why not...?
She said nothing to the tom but just flicked her tail in greeting. She avoided his gaze. She hoped that Swanpaw would come as well so that she'd have someone to talk to, and so that she wouldn't be surrounded by a bunch of strangers.

Mistywater was peaking through camp and walking around to stretch her legs out, she had saw a patrol forming by her son, Blacktwig. She padded over and smiled at the young apprentice known as Softpaw and nodded at Blacktwig "I would like to join as well" she said calmly "I need to stretch my old body out once and awhile" she purred softly.

Blacktwig smiled gently. "Alright, Mistywater," he mewed to the silver she-cat, before turning to the young apprentice, Softpaw. His tone was quieter as he spoke to her, and he attempted to prevent his steps from sounding in their wake. He nearly did an awkward half-crouch to meet the she-cat's gaze, yet drew back at the last moment. The young apprentice seemed to be hesitant. "Would you like to join, Softpaw?" He offered.

Mosspaw notice the three cats by entrance, evidently forming a patrol. Realising she had nothing better to do with her time, she slinked over, dipping her head slightly to Blacktwig. She'd seen him around, yes, but not nearly as much as when he'd been an apprentice and they'd shared a den. Still, she would confidently say he was a close friend.
"Ay, you going on a patrol?"

Blizzardshine padded towards the growing number of cats and greeted them with a respectful nod “Is there enough room for one more?” She purred softly as she looked at the cats, the day was really nice and she wouldn’t mind to get out of camp and stretch her legs for a bit as the warm sun shone over them.

"Yes, both of you can join," Blacktwig meowed generously, kicking up a paw in greeting. He slowly turned around, tail waving low to the ground. The breeze was crisp and cool, and his black pelt clearly showed its sheen. "We'll start by the ShadowClan border," the tom purred confidently.

Softpaw said nothing in response, yet she did want to go on the patrol, so she stuck near the group. When she heard about the ShadowClan border though, she tried to hide the fur that stood up on the back of her neck. ShadowClan? She had heard stories about them, some stories were bad too. In fact, a lot of them were bad. What if they met a patrol on the border and they had to fight? She glanced back towards the apprentices' den, realizing with disappointment that Swanpaw wouldn't be joining. Luckily, her older sister Mosspaw was still here.

Blacktwig glanced at Softpaw, gesturing with the tip of his tail for her to join them before they left. His blue eyes sparkled with sympathy; she clearly didn't trust ShadowClan, yet they had to patrol to make sure no cat had trespassed. He began to pad off, waiting for the grey, white and tawny she-cat to follow him. He lead, tilting his head towards Mosspaw for her to take up the rear.
