Hunting w/ SkyClan

Embershade padded into the forest with Coldheart, ready to hunt for her clan.

Icestream poofed out of nowhere wanting to join.

Coldheart looked around and scented something she loved, Rabbit. It was rare to find them, but she was glad that she did. She used her nose to find the strongest scent trail, and she followed it until she saw the rabbit. It looked pretty good. Boy, it would feed both her, Larchkit, and Flamestar! She quickly waited, and then she pounced, landing on top of it, but sadly, the rabbit's fur was very slippery, she hoped she could get a firm grasp on it, though. Luckily, she did. With a killing bite, she put her catch in a little hole, where a large rock used to be. She scraped some earth over it, to make sure that any other wild animals would not get it. She then padded off to look for more prey.

Embershade caught scent of a mouse, and dropped into hunter's crouch. She stalked the mouse, until she felt it was right to pounce. She pounced! The mouse squeaked under her paws. She dropped and gave it the killing bite. 1 piece of prey done. She buried it, and searched for more prey.

Coldheart then scented something she loved as well. Thrush! She found a nest with 3 of them. They were all quite fat. She then climbed the tree silently, and just as swiftly. She then realized, those Thrush didn't seem to know how to fly. So, with a powerful blow, she threw the nest to the ground, quickly racing down and with sharp claws, smacking onto each one. Hoping to at least kill a few. She was glad when she had gotten the two biggest, but the smallest one had gotten away with nothing but an injured wing. "Embershade." she whispered. "Go after that thrush, It's nearly done with," she mewed.

Embershade chased after the thrush. She had snagged a claw in it's wing when it tore away and ran for cover in a small hole. "Mouse dung!" She cursed.

Coldheart looked around. Spotting 5 voles, she knew it would keep her clan fed. She silently stalked them, hoping to get at least 3. Once she was close enough, she pounced. All fours landing on them. Claws unsheathed, she raked her claws down, hardly. Blood spilling from the animals quickly. She was glad when she had killed 4, but 1, sadly got away. "Mouse-dung." she spat to herself. Grabbing her catch, she put them with the rest of it. She had alot, and she knew it would feed her clan for the whole time, maybe even to bring some home with them afterwards.

Embershade continued hunting, and scented a blackbird. She licked her lips. How good that sounds right now! She dropped into hunter's crouch, and stalked it. She climbed up the tree slowly until she was right behind it. She pounced! Sadly, the blackbird sensed her at the last moment and flew off, cawing. "Mouse-dung!" She cursed. Seeing the sun start to sink, she felt depressed. She had only caught one piece of prey! She picked up her mouse and continued back to camp. "Coldheart!" She called. "It's getting late! I'm heading back to camp!" And padded away.
