Shadowclan camp invasion [Plot Battle]

Badgermask's haze of pain was interrupted by the sound of a horrified screech - coming from the medicine cat's den. It was Lighttail - with Leopardstar rushed to see what had happened. Badgermask followed as quickly as her paws would allow, tail swishing to get her sister's attention before she came to a stop a few paw-lengths away from the den at Leopardstar's cry. It was hard to tell if the smell of blood was also coming from the den or if she was just more away of all of it that covered her but she spared a glance at Heatherberry. "I'll be fine - it sounds like somebody needs you more than me," she meowed as she stepped to the side, settling down to clean her wounds - close to the den for when it was time for her to be tended to but not to crowd the entrance.

TW BLOOD

Her paw pads were turning gray and she felt colder with every breath she took, but Snowfoot felt no physical pain. It had hurt, of course, at the time, but now she felt nothing. Still, she knew everything was wrong. The black and white elder’s vision blurred as she gasped for air, her body trying to somehow make up for the blood it was pumping out into her nest. The voices of her niece and daughter seemed to fade as her thoughts raced.
No. No, no, no, they can’t see me this way! They can’t… Her eyes grew wide as a third cat, unseen to all but her, entered the den.
“Mama?” she mewed, and breathed her last.

Snowfoot is dead.

It started with a scream, and then another until all eyes and ears were torn from the disaster Rat Swarm had made of the camp and turned to a bloodied elder. Her heart dropped as she came to a skidding halt in front of the one patient left within the medicine den that she had an unspoken promise to protect: Snowfoot. Frantically, she checked for any signs of life within the elder she-cat. But there was nothing. No breath. No heartbeat. Snowfoot was beyond help. She was gone. She lowered her head against the others cold head before doing what she had done when her siblings had passed moons ago. "...The strongest warriors will help me give a proper burial for Snowfoot. The rest see to Burdockroot for treatment." Her voice shook as she said this, the finality of it weighing heavily in her chest.

The medicine cat had been so focused on protecting what had yet to be touched by moonlight, that she had lost sight of protecting what was already here. The disappearance of Nightstalker and the departure of Swiftheart did not escape her, either.
