Shadowclan camp invasion [Plot Battle]

At first there were very few voices above the incessant sounds of the rats, bizarre enough that she hoped for a second that this was only a nightmare. When more cats joined the fray she had to face the grim reality of their situation. Half ready to bawl her eyes out in terror, Snailpaw snapped at a passing rat. She gagged at the taste, eyes stinging as she quickly tossed the rat away. Her mouth was watering, but not in the same way as when setting her eyes on a particularly tasty piece of prey, no, this was the prelude to an involuntary vomit. Well, at least she didn't have anything in her stomach to waste. The silver lining to starvation.

Snailpaw used Snap on Rat Swarm! It dealt 7 (6+1) damage and used 7 stamina.

Rat Swarm did not like it when pesky kitties interrupted their focused target. Giving off a collective shriek, they swarmed upon the interrupter, drowning them in rats.

Backup secured for the nursery, Heatherberry chanced looking around at the chaos just in time to see a particularly heavy hoard of rats lunge at her mother as though they were one. "Leopardstar!" Rats nipped at her paws as the medicine cat turned, only for her heart to sink from chest to stomach butt she watched her sister shove their mother out of the way, absorbing all the damage from the mobs attack. No!

As much as she would have loved to throw herself into the fray alongside her family, Heatherberry knew she had to focus on making it back to the medicine den; ShadowClan would need whatever herbs she had in stock to help anyone who called for it. Leaving the nursery in capable paws, she made a mad dash for her and Burdockroot's den, rats clinging and biting her legs and pelt with unrelenting force. She may not make it there in one piece.

Badgermask bit back a painful screech as the rats seemed infuriated by her presences, swarming at her once again. Instead, she chose to bite down on the rats again - ripping one off of her even if it brought a spray of her own blood with it from where it had sank its own teeth into her - throwing it away before she whirled to knock away a few that were attempting to climb up her legs. Her body stung as her tail lashed - panting for breath.

Her teeth bared in a snarl, her eyes flickered towards her mother and was relieved to see that she was still unharmed. For everything that had torn their relationship to shreds, she could never want her mother hurt. She had lost so much of her family already and had promised herself to do everything in her power to protect them. She had failed Batswarm and Moondanceer but even with all of her uncertainties towards her mother...She could never disappoint that promise she had made to her sister under the moonlight moons ago.

Badgermask used Snap on the rat swarm, followed up by Desperate Blows for 18 (10+1+6+1) damage and costing 14 (7+7) stamina.

Swiftheart kept on humming her happy little song totally off in her own little world right now.  She hopped around stepping on rats as she went and swept at the ground in front of her with her front paws batting them all back.

This all seemed not so bad, she always did have that optimistic look on things, besides, at least it wasnt a bunch of foxes or badgers or dogs or twolegs.

She was a bit surprised just how many there were but that didnt slow her down as she smacked at a whole bunch more of em.

The sudden surge of tiny invaders had caught the tom unaware, but the call to protect Shadowclan's nursery seemed to rise above the the growing sounds of skittering paws and hisses. Sablestrikes lashed out at the few rats that approached, but strangely enough they seemed to be more interested in him than anything that was inside of the nursery.

"Badgermask!"

The tom's head shot toward the cry in time to see a wave of small bodies engulf the she-cat. Stars! The rats were overwhelming, nearly everywhere with teeth that shredded at his legs no matter where he stepped. Sablestrike glanced at Swiftheart. She seemed to be doing fine on her own, actually she almost seemed to be enjoying this? "You've got the nursery covered?" He shouted to the molly. Sablestrike didn't wait for an answer from the she-cat however, he knew she'd be able to hold her own. Leaping across the endless bodies the tom joined his clanmates in tearing the rats away from Badgermask.

Dead rats began to gather around Sunflare as he lashed out. Suddenly, the cinnamon tom sprang up from the swarm and began slashing one rat after another with his claws, throwing each kill neatly onto the pile. To him at least, the tide seemed to be turning. ShadowClan would feast on rats for the next moon!

By the medicine den, Lighttail was similarly surrounded by rats, although more of hers were living. She was practically a blur of silver and white as she bit down on one rat spine after another.

Rookfire noticed the vast majority of the rats begin to pile up onto one of his clanmates - Badgermask. He thankfully led the rats away from the nursery (though not without getting bit), allowing him to isolate them and deal with them more easily. Slashing at each of the rats one by one, the black tuxedo tried to weaken this swarm enough so that he could deal with the pile in the middle.

Poppycloud saw Sunflare slash through rat after rat, barely even breaking a sweat against them. He wished he could be anything close to this, but he could only do what he could. He slashed one or two rats nearby, noticing the swarm starting to finally dwindle around him. It's working.

Though the horde was thinned to half its original strength, Snailpaw's heart only beat faster and faster, her peripheral vision darkening, the sounds of battle slowly replaced by a high-pitched ringing. She was panicking. 'No no no, not now! Please, not now!' She couldn't fold, she had to keep fighting. She wasn't as strong as the warriors who could bat the creatures away; just one could easily sink its long, yellow, stinking teeth right into her throat if she didn't keep them at a distance. And seeing how they connived to overwhelm Badgermask not once, but twice, it only ratcheted her fear further in intensity. One rat felt the stab of her claws as she leapt onto it, while another received an aimless, wild slashing. Her body was moving by instinct alone now, disconnected from her senses.

Snailpaw used Jumping Strike and Desparate Blows on Rat Swarm! It dealt a total 12 (6+1+4+1) damage and used 14 (7+7) stamina.

Rat Swarm was panicking, their horde dropping like flies! Dispersing out, the Rat Swarm spread out and attacked every cat in the vicinity it could reach! Including the large black cat that stood off to the side guarding the entrance to somewhere...!

Swiftheart seemed to dance from rat to rat slicing through them with ease.  She never got a bad feeling about any of this.  She was watching how quickly their foes numbers were dropping.  The rats had taken quite the gamble coming here and so far it had ended in the rats demise.  

She gave an energetic nod to Sablestrike but he just as quickly went some other direction to go get more of them.

The rats tried to bite at her but that was easy enough to avoid for now as she dodged out of the way and attempted to smack any close enough
