Shadowclan camp invasion [Plot Battle]

There was a sense of relief as the rats were started to be thinned - the swarming wave that was crashing into her finally receding...Even if it quickly spread out to try to strike every Clanmate. An angry hiss escaped her as she slammed her paws into the few that remained next to her, swiping them away. Despite the blood that dripped down her pelt from the small but numerous scratches and bites the rats had inflicted, she felt none of it in her rage that they would threaten her Clanmates so. No matter how uncertain she had felt about them - even if she wasn't sure she could trust them all...She wouldn't stand idle and had proven as much in her valiant display.

On her way to the medicine den was when the swarm seemed to surge forward all at once, sinking their teeth into every cat within reach. It was clear they were just as desperate and hungry as the cats they were trying to consume, but the medicine cat held no pity in her heart for mere rodents who openly harmed her clanmates. A deep hiss sounded as overgrown claws swung out wildly, slashing into a pawful of rats in need of a reminder of where they were.

Heatherberry used Desperate Blows paired with Front Paw Strike on Rat Swarm, dealing a total of 13(+1) damage, and costing 14 SP.

There couldn't have been a more perfect time for him.

Every cat fighting to the best of their abilities as a swarm of rats poured into Shadowclan camp like the flood waters all those seasons ago back when he had been younger. A quiet sort of terror and excitement filled the tom's chest as he peered out of the warrior's den and saw every cat occupied as they fought. Nightstalker joined the fray, swatting at rats as he dove into the thick of it, dead rats filling the clearing nearly in piles at this moment. Nightstalker's progress was stalled as he began swatting the rats aside at Leopardstar's side, his own body barely visible under the swarming mass of rats.

"Leopardstar, I think this is where we part ways." Nightstalker huffed and puffed. He would have been more than happy to depart without any sort of notice, to sneak off in the middle of the day while every cat was sleeping or off elsewhere. But- he did always keep some small part of honour left in him.

Without waiting for any sort of response, Nightstalker shoved his way ever deeper into the mass until he was all but buried. His blood spilled, and he screeched and yowled until he fell silent. Should the wave of rats clear where he once was, there would be fur and blood but not much else.

Rookfire noticed more rats flow towards him, nipping his legs as they lunged at him. Snarling back, the black tuxedo slashed at each one, hoping to make more contact with them.

Poppycloud hissed at the bites, before biting at each rat nearby. It seemed like the rat numbers were dwindling, so that was at least something good.

Though Snailpaw's mind had turned blank, her claws kept moving, and her expression locked in a picture of terror. She let out a cry of pain as one rat took a bite into her hind leg, sending a quick stream of red down the white fur. The young she-cat twisted and took hold of the rat in her own jaws, ripping at away and throwing it back into the writhing mass. There was bile rising in her throat again.

Snailpaw used Snap on Rat Swarm! It dealt 7 (6+1) damage and used 7 stamina.

Rat Swarm once more spread out their energy, a few rats fleeing here and there but it didn't matter to the whole dedicated group, as they all threw themselves into their battles, doing their best to be the winners of this fight. They had to win!

There was a sense of relief that washed over Badgermask as the rats were finally forced to scatter - the bulk of their rank dead. It wasn't until the last moving one had scampered from the camp however that she allowed herself to shakily sink to her haunches with a pained hiss. She turned to lap at her torn sides, grimacing at the blood that coated her. There was no shame however in her - she was proud to have taken the bulk of the rats' attacks if it meant her Clan was safe...

She just wish the pain wasn't so annoying.

With the rats on the run, Lighttail ducked into the medicine den to make sure her mother wasn’t too shook. What she saw made her let out a bloodcurdling scream. Several rats swarmed over Snowfoot, tearing at her skin. Lighttail whipped into action, yanking the rats off one by one and throwing them into the wall. Most skittered off, but a couple lay still. Her eyes traveled to the far wall, where a hole had been torn just big enough for a rat to get through… and then they settled on her mother. There was a lot of blood. Too much blood. Lighttail screamed again.

Snowfoot had done her best to fight off her assailants, but her chest had tightened and betrayed her at a crucial moment. Her daughter’s screams seemed far away as she fought to break through the haze smothering her mind. “I’m… cold,” she managed to mew, before breaking down coughing again.

Swiftheart looked around as the rest of the rats all fled.

She looked around anxiously, saw badgermask licking at wounds but thankfully nothing looked unfixable.


Luckily, it seemed her daughter had not been caught in the fight for which she was very grateful for, crowspirit was her last kit now that murky had gone missing.


She stumbled forward tripping on some of the dead rats that were littered all over camp, thats when she saw the fur ripped off of her brothers. Eyes wide she looked around all over camp for him calling his name. With no luck she ran out of camp wanting to find him, he could be out there alone and hurt... the memories of him, ratrunner and herself all hiding after the forgotten order attacked hit her and she couldnt bear the thought of him being alone and bleeding out somewhere in the cold.

With their numbers dwindling to a dangerous point, the rat swarm decided to retreat. Too many they had lost, but they would grow strong again. Many brethren fell, but perhaps with the cull of their population, they would survive this winter. With a shriek, the rats pushed past the thorny barriers once more and into the forest.
