The night was warm, only a gentle breeze whispering through the treetops. Yet another moon had passed for the cats of the forest, and it was time again to gather under the light of the full moon for an evening of sharing tongues.

When Birdstar had tried to speak and all that came out was a squeak, Wolfblossomhad sternly shoo'ed her into the medicine den. Before she could think about it too hard, she led the clan towards fourtrees with even pawsteps and squared shoulders. The night was warm, but there was a breeze, and the hollow that was supposed to be peaceful but rarely was sat silent. They were the first to arrive.
Wolfblossom gazed up at the great rock, and for a moment her ears flattened. She could remember being appointed deputy in this very place, and not once had she ever deigned to stand upon the rock that she viewed as reserved for the clan leaders. To do so would be heretical... And she wasn't the Windclan medicine cat to take such upon herself. But tonight... Tonight she led Skyclan, and she would not allow the other clans to see her misgivings. Her clanmates would not talk about recent additions to the clan, she was sure of it. Her expression smoothing out, the lilac and white she-cat leaped onto the rock, pale eyes sweeping over her clanmates.

Graywind followed her mother into the clearing, sticking close to whichever of her siblings was in attendance. It was a bit too warm for her liking, and Skyclan had been the first to arrive. It would be a long night, but she hoped it would be a peaceful one.

Stoneheart filed into the clearing as well. Skyclan seemed to make it a habit of showing up early... And she would have liked to be in her own nest instead.

Mottlestar led Thunderclan into the clearing. Many, many thoughts were on the leaders mind tonight. Some good, some bad. Many good, but the bad still nagged at her like an annoying buzz. No, more than that. It had settled a pit into her stomach that she couldn't settle, no matter what she had tried to do. There would be news shared tonight that would no doubt be tumultuous, at least for part of the Forest. All she could hope was that she could speak it clearly, kindly enough that it wouldn't threaten the precious glimmer of hope that had been carefully crafted by the two leaders that she hoped to see that evening.
Glancing behind her, Mottlestar gave an encouraging smile towards Acornstem. It would be her first gathering as deputy, and thankfully, she would be able to get to know the others. One glance towards the Great Rock had a look of concern quickly featuring itself on the tortoiseshell's features, as Skyclan's deputy sat atop, instead of the one she had expected to see. Blinking it away, Mottlestar still held out hope. Birdstar had seemed in perfect health when they had met. Surely, all that was keeping the Skyclan leader away was a simple greenleaf illness. Once more towards her deputy as they padded in, Mottlestar noted. "Wolfblossom is Skyclan's deputy. Birdstar seems to be away tonight, but I'm sure Wolfblossom would say hello if you gave a greeting." She winked.
With the rest of the distance to her place now closed, Mottlestar braced herself for the jump. Her leg finally seemed to have healed enough to make the leap, but there was hesitance that was unfortunately clear on the tortoiseshell's face as she paused for a moment... before thankfully, landing. Even if her leg bit out in pain, she kept her face clear. A smile quick to appear on her maw, silencing her thundering chest as she dipped her head in greeting towards the other molly currently on the rock. "Good evening, Wolfblossom. I hope Birdstar is alright this evening? Skyclan overall well?"

“I welcome the shadows like a long-lost friend.”
Within the crowd of Thunderclan's cats, many who bore tortoiseshell and calico pelts themselves, one seemed to move a bit more fluidly. Much more like that of a shadow, rather than the proud roots of trees that they had been trained into being. No, this was a feline who was much more of a silent assassin, one who stuck to the darkness. Found comfort in it. Easily ebbed and flowed among the bodies of her clanmates, even as she was a taller one compared to the rest. But unlike most of the clans, who came to the gathering and mingled among themselves, she slowly drifted towards the edges. Away from the mass of clanmates who wanted nothing to do with one another, but towards the back and for those who wished to interact with the other Clans.
Disappointment hardly passed on her features as it was only Skyclan who currently occupied the clearing. Perhaps that was for the best, though. The sneers that her clan otherwise threw Windclan's way would have made her desire to interact strange. It'd draw much more attention than necessary. So instead, as her clan and mother found their positions for the evening, she slipped towards the back of the clearing. A smaller oak that had grown in the shadow of one of the four Great Oaks beckoned, its shadow looming in a flawless array for her to hide in. She would wait for the one that she had bothered showing up tonight to see. The onyx pelted tom who smelled of the moors and flowers, who had shown her that flicker of hope. Who had given her a reason to stir during the hours which the sun shone, if only to catch a glimpse of the beauty of the flowers.
Yes, she would wait for him. No matter how long it took. Moons of living the life of a singular entity during the evening had her vision easily adjusting to the clearing perhaps easier than most would, the piercing amber gaze now set on scanning every cat that came in as if they were to be evaluated as friend or foe.
Everyone that passed seemed to fall into that latter category.

Goldenfern followed after Murkyripple, eyes wide as she took in the clearing again. She had been here countless times, but it never ceased to amaze her how large and well-hidden this place was. Especially now, when it seemed as if she was one of the first few cats to arrive. The golden warrior found a patch of ferns close to the rock, and settled down there.

Cloudychase trailed after his clan, single eye darting from side to side. The other clans wouldn't judge him, would they? They would laugh at the owl scars dragging across the left side of his face? The fluffy white warrior chocked back a whimper, instead finding a well-hidden spot at the edges of the clearing where the shadows could mask his face.

Perchstar did not allow any hint of emotion as she led RiverClan into the Gathering. This month had been a very good one for them, all things considered. Many new warriors. Many new apprentices. The Gorge had been claimed as theirs once more. And, perhaps most importantly... the alliance with ThunderClan and SkyClan. These were all things she would need to announce today. In her head, she had been going over the most concise and clear way to say the things she needed to. She hated talking more than necessary. However, it was much easier to think about how to announce pleasant things rather than bad things. And with how things had been going for RiverClan for the last year, it was very nice to have a moon full of mostly successes.
With the grace characteristic of her Clan, the RiverClan leader leapt onto the Great Rock, noting with some satisfaction that WindClan and ShadowClan had yet to arrive. It was just the three allied Clans in attendance so far. However, that tiny moment of unfamiliar smugness dissipated at the sight of Wolfblossom sitting next to Mottlestar. Where was Birdstar? Perchstar stepped up to Mottlestar's side, stifling a mix of curiosity, worry and uncertainty as she glanced at the SkyClan deputy. "Good evening, Mottlestar, Wolfblossom. Is Birdstar all right?"
RiverClan may enter the Gathering. Dovepaw will arrive later.

The breeze tickled his back as he trailed behind his clanmates. Up ahead, the trees began to thin, allowing more moonlight to peer through the foliage. Though the tom knew coming to the gathering signified his coming of age, he wasn't feeling to fond of the number of cats who were going to be there. Suddenly the sky opened before his eyes and the clearing came into view.
It's... empty.
So Skyclan was the first to arrive. It made sense since the scents of the other clans had not bombarded his senses as he should have expected. Watching Wolfblossom climb up onto a towering rock, he could only assume it was the Great Rock. Everyone else seemed to know their own places, which left Whinchatpaw to find his own spot to sit. Littlepaw was somewhere here too. She's probably with Silverwing. Settling at the back of the clearing, he waited for the Gathering to truly begin.

Walk like a majestic lion, eyes glinting with so much desire. Pour more gasoline on fire, fly again, rising through the flames.
For an extroverted apprentice, getting the chance to go to a Gathering for the first time was a wild opportunity. Bubblepaw had never been in the presence of the other four Clans before, but she was intent on making a flawless first impression. It didn't matter if she wasn't an upper rank like a deputy or a leader. She owed it to herself to be as presentable as possible. After ensuring that every patch of fur on her body had been precisely groomed down, the she-cat had followed the rest of the chosen cats out of camp, across the territory, and to Fourtrees. Bubblepaw found it difficult to mask her happiness once the tall oaks entered her line of vision, but she swallowed down a burst of excitement as she followed along.
The clearing was bigger than she expected it to be. Her eyes widened only momentarily as she looked around, but she collected herself shortly afterward. She had been told what to expect already. The Clans would gather, and then the leaders would give their reports on how their Clans were faring after the other ranks mingled below Great Rock. However, even after being told everything, Bubblepaw still had no idea of who she would speak to or what kind of faces she would encounter tonight.

Falconmoon kept a brisk pace as he entered the gathering... with none other than Lionstripe on his heels. He sighed, but he at least managed to keep it to himself. He sat down quietly amongst the other Skyclanners, though he kept his eye out for Birdclan (yes, the one that has been an ongoing thing for months lol). He didn't want to make Lionstripe feel excluded... but seriously. The kid wouldn't unattach from his hip!
The young striped tom sat beside him without a word and waited for the hollow to fill up. What kind of drama would there be this time?
Falconmoon and Lionstripe are sitting beside each other but both are available to talk!

Only two other clans were at Fourtrees, but the area was strong with unfamiliar scents to Amberpaw. He bunched up his nose at the fishy Riverclanners and lifted an eyebrow at the Skyclanner's smell. He had never met a Skyclan cat before...he wondered what they were like.
The large, flame-colored tom sat by himself near the other Thunderclanners. It was his first gathering, after all, and he didn't know any cats from other clans...besides Perchstar and that rude Larkpaw, whom he did not want to interact with. Anyway, Amberpaw was perfectly content sitting in solitary silence - his favorite. So, he sat, swirls of ginger fur glistening on his amber pelt in the moonlight.
Amberpaw seems a bit awkward and content by himself, but is available to talk to! It is clear that this is his first gathering.

It wasn't long before more cats than just Skyclanners began to arrive to fourtrees. Wolfblossom was glad to see it was the saner of the five clans, Skyclan's new allies in Riverclan and Thunderclan. "Hello Mottlestar, Perchstar." Wolfblossom greeted the two leaders with a polite incline of her head. Birdstar's absence raised questions, as she expected. Wolfblossom was just glad that it wasn't something truly horrid that led to her sitting on the great rock tonight as she replied, "Lost her voice, and if someone hadn't told her to rest I think she would have showed up despite it." She responded to the two. Her gaze dropped to the base of the great rock where the deputies sat, though Poppyshine had yet to show up. In Darkspirit's place was someone new, however. "New deputy, Mottlestar? Is Darkspirit okay?" She hadn't interacted with the older tom much, but he'd seemed to care deeply for his clanmates and had seemed pleasant enough. He wasn't someone she would expect to step down, but perhaps something had happened. Then, to the she-cat below, "Hi! I'm Wolfblossom."

A golden-spotted she-cat slunk behind Thunderclan, pausing at the top of the ridge that led down into a hollow marked by four large oak trees. There were multiple other cats within, their scents identifying them as not-Thunderclan immediately. She had been told the full moon meant a night of peace... But the sight of so many filling the clearing already made the wildcat uneasy. The moon shone above, and perhaps it was something that comforted these clan cats, but it offered nothing of the sort to her. Quite the opposite, in fact. As the rest of Thunderclan went into the clearing, Aurelia sat at the very edge, as close to Thunderclan territory as she could get. Her shoulders were tensed as she glanced around with wide green eyes, ears flat against her wide skull.
Wolfblossom is talking to Mottlestar and Perchstar, and greeted Acornstem! Aurelia is sitting on the very edge of the clearing.

Acornstem could barely keep herself from vibrating with how excited and yet nervous she was - her first gathering as the ThunderClan deputy! She did her best to keep herself calm and collected, her tail swishing back and forth as they entered the clearing and she made straight for the rock after Mottlestar. To her surprise however, SkyClan's deputy wasn't at the base of the rock but instead at the top - with no cat to replace her. Her ears twitched, but she took her spot without a word...
That was until while she could hear the voices above her of the trio of she-cat's speaking - it sounded like Birdstar was doing well, at least - then one of the voices was clearer as she raised her head to see the face of Wolfblossom peering over the edge of the rock at her. "Oh, hello!" she called up, a smile crossing her muzzle. She had heard a question from the she-cat about what had happened to Darkspirit - she still wasn't fully sure on what details Mottlestar would chose to share with the other Clans about that whole...Thing. It was best to focus on just being pleasant and easing the other Clans about the change in deputies - she was eager to put her best paw forward tonight! "Its a pleasure to meet you - I'm Acornstem!"

Creamsky followed after Wolfblossom, sticking close to SkyClan as they arrived and started to take their seats. It was odd to see Wolfblossom climb up the rock but he agreed with the assessment that it was best for Birdstar not to come - not with her lost voice. She would only stain herself trying to be heard by all the Clans and it would only ruin her voice further. He shook his head with a sigh as he sat down, tail curling around his paws as his gaze fell down the rock - huh, there was a new she-cat among the deputies. He couldn't tell if she was a RiverClan or ThunderClan cat at this distant but...Well, she certainly didn't look like a RiverClan cat - they were often more...Uh, sleek. Which meant...ThunderClan had a new deputy? Curious, he noted with a tilt of his head as he watched her turn her gaze up to the rock to chirp a greeting to Wolfblossom. What was this all about...? Acornstem has taken her new spot at the base of the Great Rock and greeted Wolfblossom back! Creamsky is open to talk to.

Nightstar was the next leader to arrive, his mutinous clan in tow. But no matter how things were behind the scene, at least they will pretend that everything was fine. He wasted no time in launching himself up the rock, his mood sour and toxic as sludge, so he opted for sticking himself away from the leaders as best he could. Windclan deserved his ire, not them.
Shadowclan may enter the gathering.

Badgermask shuffled behind Nightstar, her gaze unreadable as her tail nearly dragged on the ground behind her. Since the ill-fated battle with WindClan, the warrior had barely spoken a word to anybody - not even her family. Once her injuries had healed, she had returned to doing her duties but there was...No life behind her actions - a simple going through the motions of what was expected of her. Nothing more, nothing less. Even now, her gaze was focused on nothing - she simply padded forward until she halted and sat down. There was no acknowledgement of the cats around her, not even an ear twitch at the conversations that were starting.
She simply sat there... Uncaring, eyes simply staring at the patch of grass in front of her.
Badgermask is not open to be talked to. Well, you can try, but she won't acknowledge your attempts at all.

Blazefang had been thinking a lot lately. The revelation of Dayquill’s parentage had scared and hurt her at the time, but now it brought her a strange kind of hope. If Dawnhawk himself could sire a cat as sweet as Dayquill, perhaps SkyClan wasn’t as terrible as she’d thought. She has made up her mind. Tonight she would seek out Silverwing and apologize for everything. Blazefang is looking for Silverwing, but will change her plans should she spot Hickorypaw (WC) first.
Lighttail, too, was searching for a SkyClan cat tonight. After the loss of Honeylight, she needed to know her other best friend was still safe. She had to see Stoatclaw. Maybe then they could even pretend all the terrible things weren’t happening and it was just like old times. She wanted to be free. Lighttail is looking for Stoatclaw.
Sunflare’s lip curled in disgust as the smell of WindClan met his nostrils. He came only to ensure he heard the latest political developments firstpaw, the cinnamon tom saw no use in being around WindClan otherwise if he couldn’t tear their pelts. Was this Nightpaw’s fault? Yes. But war is never that simple, and Sunflare wanted to ensure ShadowClan won, rather than have them endure humiliation at the claws of rabbit-brained fools. For now, he stayed close to his mate and watched. Sunflare is with Tawnyshadow, assuming she’s here. I will edit this if not. Non-ShadowClan cats may approach but at their own risk.
Sagepaw was getting a bit embarrassed at still being an apprentice, but she wasn’t about to let that keep her home! Leaves on her ears to muffle the throng of voices, she descended into the hollow and awkwardly approached a cat who seemed a bit younger than her. “Hey, I’m Sagepaw,” she mewed, remembering at the last second to make eye contact. Sagepaw is talking to Graywind. Please keep in mind Sagepaw is actually older by a fair bit, despite still being an apprentice.

Tawnyshadow entered the clearing, her eyes immediately searching for a particular clan. It seems Windclan had yet to show their faces, especially after they had killed two of Shadowclan's warriors. Border skirmishes where within the code, but murder? Windclan seemed to love the idea of shattering the warrior code. The warrior remained beside her mate, giving whichever cat who wasn't from Shadowclan a glare when they tried to approach her. _________________________________________________
Copperlark trailed after the Thunderclan patrol, ears pinned back while her siblings walked on in front. Having to interact with her own clanmates was already so difficult, she couldn't imagine having to talk to cats she had never met in her life. The tortoiseshell escaped from her clan's patrol as soon as possible, instead finding a spot covered in shadows and curling up there. Tawnyshadow is with Sunflare and will only talk to Shadowclan cats Copperlark is open to interactions, but you have to drag her out first
