PostDark Forest NPC Sign-Ups

Hello, WCC! If you’re reading this, that means you’ve read our recent announcement about the site-wide! If you haven’t, click this link to read up on it, and then come back here when you’re done!

Some important information regarding this plot role:

  • Each RPer may have one NPC or former PC for the purposes of this plot. If you have a former Player Character that resides in the Dark Forest, you may use them! If you do not, no worries- you can create a new NPC to use that will be randomly assigned a Clan.
  • These characters will be stationed throughout the Clans post-takeover and will be responsible for training characters that choose to follow the lead of the Dark Forest, ensuring those who don’t have no power, and guarding the territory/camps of their respective Clans.
  • Remember that these character’s follow the Dark Forest closely and share their motives. They should not be siding with Clan cats or defending StarClan in any way.
  • Since this is a plot role for a sitewide, characters created to fulfill this role will not count towards your total character roster. No need to make space for them!

Additional information regarding statistics and special moves is in the spoiler below.

Spoiler:

So, if you think you’d like to participate in the plot in this capacity, fill out the form below! Once you have signed up and your form follows all regulations, a staff member will post accepting your application and assigning a Clan to your NPC, if applicable. Creations will open as soon as Klaus arrives at the gathering. As soon as your creation has been approved, you are free to begin RPing your character! Have fun, and stay alert ;)

Name: Stagshade (formerly Stagwatcher, renamed at time of death)
Former PC or New NPC?: New NPC
Former Clan (if PC): N/A
Appearance:
Dark Forest NPC Sign-Ups - Page 2 3MEb7dI
Description?:
Stagkit was always a fatherly figure, ever since a kit. Born to Nightember and Dawncall, he had a little sister named Doekit. He spent his time in the nursery, nurturing the other kits, gathering queens and warriors if one was injured. His caring nature was seen as a gift.

As he became an apprentice, his parents were very loving and involved with both of their lives and they seemed like the perfect little family. His extremely caring nature continued through this time, as he spent much of his free time hunting specifically for the elders, listening to their stories, and doing kind things for them. He quickly became a favorite among them, and this would carry on for the rest of his life. Stagpaw was comfortable in the clan, and other apprentices came to him for advice, venting, and general comfort. Due to his independence and seemingly natural-born wisdom, Dawncall and Nightember decided to step back from parenting him. In their mind, he was doing great and didn't want to baby him. On the other hand, Doepaw was struggling. She was a nervous wreck and unsure about herself and the world around her. They were constantly on call for her, comforting her whenever she required. Meanwhile, Stagpaw was struggling. The woes of his fellow apprentices were weighing heavy on him. It was a lot, and he didn't know how to ask for help. His parents were too busy caring for Doepaw anyway.

When he became a warrior, originally named Stagwatcher for his careful observation of the clan's well-being, it wasn't long before the storm broke. The warrior plotted for a good solid two seasons before he seized his opportunity. Inviting his aging parents for a walk on the territory, he staged their deaths to look like a natural accident. It was payback for the abandonment he felt. Now, Doepetal will feel that same abandonment he did. They can no longer cater to only her. Jealousy, anger, and hurt drove him to this point. However, when he turned around, his sister Doepetal was behind him. Watching. She saw it all.

Reacting out of fear, Stagwatcher attacked and violently killed her. She did land a blow to him, giving him a scar he hated and reminded him of the deed he considers - to this day - his biggest regret. When he realized what he did, he turned to his dearest friend Stormsight to help him cover it up and stage her disappearance. The scar was explained as an accidental blow from Stormsight during a sparring match. He led the search for his sister while mourning the death of his parents.

Soon, the two grew close and had a litter of his own. It was his dream. He could control these kits, make sure that they wouldn't leave him too. He kept a close eye on the kits of his and trained them exhaustedly. He spoiled them with love and attention, and they became his own small clan. Kits who deviated from what he wanted out of them and their life would mysteriously die in their sleep, disappear, or die from predators or rogues. Every time, he was the enraged and grieving father, exhausting himself to try to hunt down who did it or what happened.

His work with the elders continued. He proved himself in battle. The moons dragged on and his sins were buried in time and respect. Until Stormsight had enough. The resident queen was tired of her kits dying around her. Although it was only five kits of hers, it was five too many. She confronted Stagwatcher, threatening him to find out how exactly he was doing all of this. She had been complacent too long. She died shortly after childbirth of her fourth and final litter.

He was a senior warrior now, and the last of his kits were raised. This litter turned out perfect. Devoted. He was pleased. Aging himself, he turned to make the lives of the elders that he loved deeply comfortable. It pained him to see them so elderly and old and... It scared him. Soon, he would be wasted and thrown to the side... Elders started dying in their sleep, seemingly healthy one day and gone the next. It wasn't until the third elder that the clan grew suspicious. Death seemed to follow Stagwatcher. And his leader had enough.

After returning from speaking with StarClan and begging them for answers, the medicine cat returned with horrific news. Stagwatcher was a murderer. Killing his victims with poisonous Nightshade. The clan rioted, and in anger, the leader renamed him to Stagshade so he could never claim to be the carefully watching father again. Stagshade was executed by the means of his own choice. Nightshade.

His motives are simple. Control. Creating new adopted kits for him to be a father figure again.

(Humbly, respectfully, requesting ShadowClan)

Name: Frogkit (Not actually a kit dw)
Former PC or New NPC?: New NPC
Former Clan (if PC): ---
Appearance: She's apprentice age, maybe 10 moons or so.
Spoiler:
Description?: A conniving little witch girl who's one goal is to entertain and please herself. She was (and still is) completely ignorant to the fact that cats have feelings and thoughts, and thinks the world was made just for her enjoyment. This makes her completely apathetic and selfish. She was also obsessed with making things, so she was constantly in the meddie den brewing her own concoctions and wasting herbs. She had her littermates taste her meals. She needed to see what these combos did, what magical effects would take place. They of course got very sick, and Frogkit was in huge trouble as you'd imagine. Her apprentice ceremony was put off for quite awhile, but that never stopped her. She snuck back into the den she had been banned from and stole the last herbs she would ever touch. Her thievery was mostly red berries, resulting in her death as she tasted them herself.

Her mother taught her how to fight and hunt in secret, so she is capable of fighting/training others. As for motives, mostly to have fun. Messing with the clan cats and tryin to get them to eat her mud pies. She'll even try to gather some playmates! Despite the complications there might be with a df apprentice, I made Frogkit because she would be great for persuading the youth of the clans, those who might be scared of the older cats with blood pouring out of them.

Name: Rainstrike
Former PC or New NPC?: Former PC
Former Clan (if PC): ThunderClan
Appearance: Rainkit's base color is a creamy silver/tan. Her legs, tail, and face fade into a color a shade or two darker than the rest, with dark tabby stripes and spots that adorn her pelt just about everywhere but a thick collar of cream fur around her neck and shoulder area. Her eyes are pale blue, and her build is sturdy and muscular, though her legs might be considered a tad long compared to the rest of her body. Rain's fur is short and sleek. Half of her face is missing including one eye, from a dog attack in life.

Description?: Rainstrike was born a ThunderClan loyalist through and through. The early loss of her mother, and then witnessing the loss of her father firsthand as he tried to save her, sent her into a spiral of near-madness. She blamed the loss of her father on the ThunderClan leader, Oakstar, her rationale being that he wasn't a true ThunderClan cat and therefore shouldn't be leader. She killed Oakstar by putting a snake in his nest, and also murdered several other cats before and after being banished by ThunderClan, where she lived as a rogue.

(can I preeeeeeeeetty pleeeeeeeeeease request ShadowClan?)

Name: Vixentooth
Former PC or New NPC?: New NPC
Former Clan (if PC): N/A
Appearance:
Spoiler:

Description?: Reflecting exactly what her name says, Vixentooth is a sly, callous warrior who boldly proves it. She blindly believes in the DF (Dark Forest), creating various attempts to prove that they're the ones that every cat should believe in, not StarClan. She despises the stars, calling them powerless— as only once did she believe in them before, yet they were unable to prove themselves to help as what little of her family remained left, died. As she grew older, Vixentooth soon found a strange liking to battles. There was no definitive reason why she liked them, though perhaps, she simply enjoyed the bloodshed that was allowed on the battlefield. She couldn't find it in any other place.

As life continued, clanmates grew to see less trust in her. This led to her growing more vicious than ever, feeling as if she's condemned to be looked at as an outsider, rather than a clanmate. In one battle, Vixentooth's had enough. Attacking her clanmate, she intentionally leaves them hanging, ignoring their cries of help before they fall to death. However, they dragged her with them. Her plan has failed, and now fueled with hatred, she rises again with the DF; stubborn in her own ways and still with a thirst for battles.

Name: Hawkstrike
Former PC or New NPC?: Former PC
Former Clan (if PC): SkyClan [Formerly ShadowClan/Rogue]
Appearance: A chocolate tabby with his back being of a darker shade (Same shade of the stripes) and fades to the base color of the rest of the pelt as it goes down, by the middle of his body it already faded completely. His chest and belly have a light brown, almost white color. He has forest green eyes. He also has a very obvious scar that goes all the way from the top right of his forehead, across his eye and over his muzzle, ending on his nose.
This smug boi on my siggy:

Description?:
A cunning silver-tongued tom that was once known as Owlstrike of ShadowClan. Originally an ambitious kit whose main role model was his father and first mentor, Mudfoot. However, his whole world started to fall apart at a young age, as his own father left the clan during the original Dark Forest takeover, leaving him behind with no goodbye or explanation. He stood awake for days and nights around the edges of the clan in hopes of him returning and either rejoining or taking hi with him, but was only met with loneliness and a broken heart.

Amberclaw took him under his wing and taught him the ways of the Dark Forest, acting as a new father figure for him while also feeding him his own experiences regarding family and disappointment, rearranging his ideals, and turning his paint into hatred and resentment towards Mudfoot for abandoning him. Under his tutelage, he became a powerful warrior with unquestionable loyalty towards the Dark Forest, whose fighting style tends to be brutal and value winning over honor, going as far as being willing to kill the cat you are battling against if it ensures victory. He had found a new purpose, home and family, but it was not to last...

After StarClan's victory over the Dark Forest, he grew bitter towards them but knew to swallow his emotions and lay low for the time being. Slowly but surely he started to find his place among ShadowClan again, and started to grow a new sense of loyalty towards the clan and his clanmates, who slowly accepted him back in their ranks...except for Mudfoot, as their old relationship was utterly ruined. This was once more crushed, though, as Thrushstar forced him into exile after he healed from the battle at Fourtrees for supporting the Dark Forest back then.

Full of resentment, he tried to come back at the clan through poisoned prey using nearby Carrionplace on his favor, a scheme that caused several cats to fall ill and might've taken some lives, but was eventually stopped by none other than Mudfoot. They battled, and Owlstrike was defeated, earning the scar that now can be easily seen on his face, and chased off the territory.

Crowstar, who had been a Dark Forest supporter himself but had managed to be reformed, saw himself reflected in Owlstrike, and granted him a new home in SkyClan through some trickery and a new name, Hawkstrike, with hopes of him also finding redemption.

During his first moons, Hawkstrike tried to turn apprentices under his care to the Dark Forest for quite some time and often taught them the less than honorable ways of fighting that he had learned from Amberclaw...but as time went on and the clan proved to accept him as himself, he eventually stopped and became tamer, no longer seeing the StarClan believers as treacherous scum as he used to before. He grew a great loyalty towards his new clan and clanmates that he never could feel towards ShadowClan. He never let go of his brutal fighting style, his twisted moral code nor his loyalty towards the Dark Forest, but his desire for the greater good of SkyClan made him try and hold back to not bring trouble to them.

However, his resentment towards StarClan only grew bigger and felt more and more justified through the not few moves they pulled against the clans, from the direct messages Ivystar sent to her kits in RiverClan that caused not few wars to spark, to the war against cats of mixed bloodlines under their champion Lichenstar that caused rifts in the clan and their overall arrogance, which caused no few amounts of pain and unnecessary deaths. The nail on the coffin definitely was when StarClan started to send illness into the clans left and right to "purge" them of those they considered to not fall in line with their standards...the very same illness that took his life.

In his eyes, StarClan are the true villains of the tale he has to tell, manipulative spirits that care only for themselves and who can and will play with the lives of those they are supposed to protect just because they feel entitled to do so, or because they decided to throw a random tantrum over the smallest thing. He sees the actions of the Dark forest as justified and has been convinced that the Dark Forest could be just as good, if not better, rules than StarClan after all his experiences.

Name: Frostthroat
Former PC or New NPC?:New NPC
Former Clan (if PC): N/A
Appearance:
Spoiler:
Description?: Froastthroat was a loyal WindClan warrior-- a little too loyal. When WindClan began to take in cats from outside the Clans, he resisted, at first with his words in an attempt to convince his clanmates to turn them away, and then eventually with tooth and claw to force the outsiders to leave. He took it too far one day and ended up killing a young cat barely out of his kittenhood, and for that he was banished. Believing the Warrior Code did not extend to cats without Clan blood, he sought out the Moonstone in order to receive blessings from StarClan for his deeds-- instead, on the crest of Mothermouth, he was beset upon by a pack of farm dogs that had wondered too far from their home and ripped to shreds. At the moment of his death, he forsook StarClan, believing they should have protected him since he was on a holy pilgrimage to the Moonstone.
He is as cold as his name sake. Self righteous and bitter, Frostthroat has a particular hatred for cats with nonclan blood.

Name: Cloudjumper
Former PC or New NPC?: New NPC
Former Clan (if PC): n/a
Appearance: Dark Forest NPC Sign-Ups - Page 2 0e4ec110
Description?: A being of almost pure love, Cloudjumper is so full of blinding affection for those she latches onto, to the point of committing heinous acts in name of it. In her times, she was infatuated with another warrior, Doveheart- who was completely oblivious to the mere existence of Cloudjumper- and believed she was just as in love. This was very not true, and Doveheart eventually took a mate, Birchfoot, and the illusion was shattered in Cloudjumper's eyes. Outraged, she believed that Birchfoot must have been forcing Doveheart into this mess and that there was no way her love could love another, as that love belonged to Cloudjumper. One day, in plain sight of other warriors, Cloudjumper murdered Birchfoot in cold blood. Immediately she was attacked by other warriors, and she attempted to defend herself, crying out her excuse as her clanmates pinned her to the floor and demanded the opinion of the clan's leadership. Disgusted by her, Cloudjumper was immediately exiled, with Doveheart spitting in her face that she found her putrid and a coward, and our favourite fluffy molly was heartbroken. She soon died in the following winter, her body found mangled on the outskirts of clan territory, still of the firm belief even in her final moments that she did the right thing by freeing Doveheart from Birchfoot's grasps.
