The Dark Forest.

Midnightpelt sat in a forest she knew all too well. She wondered what the reason was that she would dream of the dark forest.

Brightfire appeared within the Dark Forest. "Midnight what are you doing within this horrible place?"

Midnightpelt smiled. "IO might as well get used to this place, it is where I will be when I die." she said softly.

Jaystar's eyes flicked open as he found himself a couple fox lengths away. He remembered the Dark Forest from the journey...where Foxspark died...

"Midnightpelt... This place is for horrible cats. Not you. You shouldn't end up here." Bright said.

Midnightpelt laughed. "You have no idea about what I have done during my life." she said, her voice icy.

Jaystar heard Brightfire,and still didn't hear about her death. He walked towards the voices,and saw the two cats.

"Tell me about it Midnight." Brightfire said, not seeing Jaystar.

"Yes,tell us about it." Jaystar echoed icily.

"No." Midnightpelt said. " Lets just say being here kinda runs in the family. My brother is here,I am surprised I havent seen him yet."

"JAY!" Bright padded over to her brother and nuzzled him. "I'm sorry."

"Your brother was a piece of fox-dung." Jaystar snarled. He then smiled at Brightfire. "Sorry?"

"I haven't visited you yet."

"Not he wasnt!" Midnightpelt shot back, "He was the only person who cared for me! He shouldn't have died."

"Visited? What do you mean?" Jaystar still seemed clueless,his usual self indeed. He faced Midnightpelt. "Of course others cared for you. I cared for you like a sister,and now you want to turn to your corrupt brother!?"
