Spiderson, Spiderson, does whatever a Spiderson does... CLOSED

The sun hung low in the sky, glimmering weakly as if it didn't want to be there. The moon was faint but visible, signifying the inevitable night that was not far from now. A thin blanket of ever-thawing snow enveloped RiverClan, giving everything a watery shimmer not unlike the very river they were named after. Sitting inside the medicine den, far from the frigid grasp of the still prevalent frost, was a little tom hard at work. He was organizing the herbs by use, putting the painkillers in one corner, the binders in the other and the disinfectants in yet another. It was nice to have an order to things, instead of just having a pile to root through every time a kit waltzed in with a sore paw. As he looked at the store of herbs, Spiderpaw frowned. They were definitely running out, no wonder given the weather. But the cold had died down a bit, and he had seen some signs of life in the forest...

 Making up his mind, the medicine cat apprentice exited the den and took a few hesitant steps onto the crisp sheet of snow outside. It was cold against his hairless paws, sending a customary shiver through Spiderpaw's spine. He looked towards the forest, though he didn't make any movements towards it. It looked daunting and dark, as if the sun had forgotten to light it. The trees swayed threateningly, surely warning trespassers of hidden dangers. He shivered, this time not thanks to the cold. He definitely needed someone to come with him. Mistleshine was his initial thought, but that was a no-go. His mentor, while not entirely busy, was healing from a limp and he didn't want to bother her. He scanned his memory for a cat he was familiar enough to go with--it was a very short list- and his mind settled on Stormbringer. He'd spoken to her before, and enjoyed her company. Plus she was an experienced warrior, which would definitely ease his nerves about going into the forest this late in the day. He approached the warriors' den, and poked his head inside, searching for a familiar blue pelt. "Stormbringer? Would you like to, um, come on a herb patrol with m-me?

Stormbringer was settled into her nest, not exactly asleep, just resting for the evening because she had nothing better to do at the current point in time. As soon as her name was called by a familiar apprentice did she perk up from her shared nest with Honeytongue, who was currently out at this time. A herb patrol? The blue warrior pushed herself up from her nest. "Sure. I could use the time out of camp." The warrior informed the younger. She certainly didn't want the apprentice to go out on his own. As she pushed her way out of the warrior den, she looked at Spiderpaw. "Lead the way, Spiderpaw." She said with a positive tone.
