Better Run [Open for WC - Staff Generated Event]

Pain shot through the tom as he was bit and thrown from the brown dog's mouth. He stumbled to his feet weakly and looked around. The camp...it was a horrible sight. Blood and body parts everywhere. He turned his grey gaze back to Gorsefeather, who was getting ready to run from the dog. "No, Gorsefeather," he screeched. Emberleaf knew that there was nothing he could do, so he decided to go and herd the clan out to safety. "Everyone run! Get out, you fools! We are no match against dogs!" Emberleaf bolted towards the nursery. "Glidingkit, come here," he said as he ran toward her and picked her up by the scruff. "I'm a Medicine Cat, you can trust me." He didn't waste a moment running out of the nursery. "Icestorm! We are leaving with these kits! Now," Emberleaf yelled through Glidingkit's fur. He raced toward the entrance of camp, hoping that no dogs would attack him on the way. "Someone get Leafsnap and carry her out!"

Glidingkit saw her sister Spiderkit. She met her gaze quickly, terror and fear in her eyes. She wanted her father, Cedarfur. She wanted her mother, Leafsnap. But they were either hurt or fighting. She cried as she was picked up, she didn't know who it was. But when she figured out it was the medicine cat, she slowed her crying. She tried to look around. Where are litter mates?!

Blizzardpaw led Witherpaw to Leafsnaps body. Lifting her up on half his shoulders and back. "Please be ok Leafsnap.." He muttered. And silently asked Witherpaw to help him. He looked down on her, glancing awkwardly at the height difference.

Mistypaw ran straight out of the camp. I can't bear this anymore she thought. There's only one place I will go.

The noise of the fighting seemed tremendous. Falconstar blinked quickly back to consciousness, pain searing through his shoulder. Everywhere cats were fighting, and they were getting pummeled. This wasn't a fight they could win. He stood up and ignored the pain that seemed to seep into his bones and yowled out to anyone within range, "WindClan, retreat!"

"What?!" Eaglethorn had been forced to jump from the dog, lest he got crushed beneath its muscular back, and found himself next to Falconstar, eyes alight with the fury of battle. "This is our territory! We shall not lose it to some mangy flea-ridden mutts!"

"There may be no one left to live in it if we continue to fight!" Falconstar glared at his son until the latter finally backed down with a mutinous hiss. Calling out again to signal falling back, Falconstar ran out of the camp, pushing through the agony as he and his clan were forced to leave the only home they'd ever known behind. Eaglethorn glared at the dog they had been fighting, flexing his claws before heading after Falconstar, swearing he would come back and kill each and every dog himself.

Icestorm nodded to Emberleaf. The tom also heard his Falconstar's voice. With Spiderkit in his gaws, he ran out of camp, his shoulder starting to burn. He wanted to look back for his brother and son, but had to keep this kit safe. If anything ever happened to Cedarfur's kits, I would never forgive myself.

Cedarfur and Smokepelt's strength was being washed away. When they heard Icestorm, then Falconstar's voice then knew the should go. Agg! I need to finish this though! Cedarfur hissed, then jumped off the dog's back and ran towards his mate. "Leafsnap?" he said, voice shaking. The tall tom grabbed her scruff and started to drag her out of camp.

Smokepelt, being flung off the dog, landed with a thud. He stood back up, anger bubbling through his blood. He was about to enter the fight again, but at the sound of his leader's voice, he had no choice but to obey. He ran after his uncle. "Here, I can help." He picked a part of Leafsnap's fur and helped Cedarfur carry her.

After dragging Leafsnap a few fox lengths, Cedarfur, being overwhelmingly tired and face bleeding from the dog's paws, was hardly able to drag his mate. He thought for a moment. "You think we could put her on my back?" The tom huffed to Smokepelt. Besides, she was extremely smaller than him, so this could possibly work better. Smokepelt nodded. Cedarfur knelt down somewhat like a camel and Smokepelt lifted her up, making sure she would not fall off. Smokepelt then put his head under Cedarfur's belly, helping him off the ground. The tall tom started walking faster, his back muscles straining. The two followed the chaotic stream of running clan mates, not knowing were they were headed.

Gorsefeather heard Falconstar's order, and was about to comply when the dog's jaws clamped over his hind leg and most of his left flank, as he attempted to flee. The medicine cat could barely let out a yowl pain, the pressure of the jaw grinding bone against bone in a way, he felt as though it was all going to be over. He swiped blindly at the beast's head, hoping to startle it into dropping him.

But after a good minute of flailing, he went limp with exhaustion, having lost quite a bit of blood. The world was starting to spin, and the pain on his side numbed out. All he could to was wait for someone to help, never in his life had he felt so useless. All his knowledge of herb lore meant nothing here.

Goldenpaw shot away from the dog, blood trailing after her. She darted to Gorse feather.
"Hold on!" She grabbed the medicine cat and heaved him onto her shoulders. She nearly collapsed under his weight but adrenaline roared through her veins. The dog closed in but Goldenpaw ran. She struggled to keep Gorsefeather aloft and she was running slower. Starclan help us!. Hopefully someone could help her with Gorsefeather.
"Gorsefeather! Can you walk?" Goldenpaw asked between breathes. Why was he so heavy!

Kestrelkit didn't know what was going on. He was scared. Yowling was everywhere. His sibblings were taken away by cats, who he is sure was his parents and someone else. Opening his little mouth, he wailed, screeching at the top of his lungs. Would someone save him? Anyone? He was so scared, and his body shook like a leaf.

Blizzardpaw picked up Kestrelkit. "Dont worry Kestrelkit I've got you."

Smokepelt heard a kits cry as he walked along side Cedarfur. Kestrelkit? He ran over to Blizzardpaw. "Blizzardpaw. Give me Kestralkit, I can run faster with her." He said sternfully at the apprentice. Besides, she was his niece. He needed to take care of her.

Blizzardpaw reluctantly gave up the kit and instead guided Witherpaw out of the camp after Smokepelt.

Kestrelkit swung between the two kits, automatically going into the limp hanging ball of fur as he was picked up by the scruff. His eyes were wide and wild, fear causing them to be large saucers in his tiny head.

"Daddy!" Cardinalkit cried to Ceaderfur. "Help me!" He squealed terrified of these gigantic creatures that could tear a small kit like him into shreds. One of them was hot on his trail. He felt the aggressive creature's hot breath on his back as he ran faster than he had ever ran before. Oh, StarClan help me!  He yowled silently.

Cedarfur and Smokepelt hobbled ran next to each other, both struggling to carry the cat they were keeping safe. Smokepelt, not as exhausted as Cedarfur and having larger ears, heard Cardinalkit't voice. "Cedarfur! Keep going!" The grey tom mumbled with Kestrelkit in his mouth. He turned tail and ran back towards the other kit. Kestrelkit fell limp in his jaws and Smokepelt almost panicked, preying the kit was ok. He finally got to Cardnalkit, and placed Kestrelkit on the ground. He moved the two kits next to each other with his paw so it would be easier to grab them, and soon he was back on the run. But now with two kits dangling in his mouth.
