The kits on a Minnow and a Viper(closed for Pikachu, Mistywhisper,Sandfire,Rose,Blaze,Jollykit,and I)

Minnowtail's plump belly was swollen with Viperfangs kits, and every now and then a sharp pain would happen and she'd dig her claws into her nice soft mossy nest. And once a very very very sharp pain came she knew the kits were coming. "Viperfang!! Nightfire!! The kits are coming!!" She yowled as a spasms of pain racked her body and she crouched down in pain.

Viperfang, who hadn't really expected the kits to come so soon, bolted over to the nursery to be by Minnowtail's side. This was really the first time the tom had been there for his mate while she gave birth to a litter. All the other times, he'd just seen the kits once they were grown. A little frazzled on what to do, the tom slide through the entrance, and mewed to his mate. "Is everything normal? Are you bleeding anywhere you shouldn't?"

He was concerned, and really had no idea what was going on. Even if she replied honestly, it would have hardly helped.

Minnowtail painted. "No I'm fine I'm not bleeding anywhere. But I need Nightfire." She meowed as another spasms of pain racked her body.

Nightfire was quiet, thinking he had heard Cloverpool's cries, but came to found it was Minnow. Oh crap a first timer. Bringing his bundle, he quietly sat down, pushing a few herbs closer to the she-cat and a stick. "Eat those please." of course he had to talk to a first timer. Making sure the she-cat saw him bring his paw up to her, he pressed around on her belly softly. They seemed to be ready. "Good, they are ready to come out. With each contraction, I want you to push, don't push too hard, since this is all new. Just push harder with each one so its less strain on you."

Minnowtail nodded and lapped up the herbs ignoring the bitter taste. She pushed and a white and ginger kit was born(Heatherkit). She pushed again and a white she cat with yellow and spots on her back was born(Sorrelkit). She pushed yet again and a jet black kit with white on her muzzle, chest, paws, underbelly, and tail tip, with a silver dot under each eyes was born.

Nipping the scars off all three as she had seen her mother do, she licked them to stimulate their breathing.

The jet black kit meowed in protest and started to squirm around looking for nothing in particular.

"You're doing amazing, Minnowtail." Viperfang meowed reassuringly, licking his mate's forehead before going over by the kits, taking the three of them from her and tucking them against his warm fur. He didn't have to be a medicine cat to know that more kits were on their way. He'd make sure their kits were warm and safe until their mother was ready to nurse them. "I love you... Minnowtail."

Viperfang quietly confessed to his mate, the first time he'd ever said that to any cat. He felt awkward saying it, but it felt right.

"I love..you to.. Viperfang." Minnowtail meowed and then pushed again and a light brown kit was born (Pinekit). She gave another push and a dark Gray kit was born (Stormkit). She pushed twice and the last of the kits were born. Another kit that looked. Like the first bkac on except no silver dot under her eyes (Sagekit) and a light brown she cat with Leopard spots was born (Cobrakit).

The white and ginger kit scrambled blindly over her siblings, smelling milk. She let out a loud squeal, trying to reach her mother's milk.

The white kit with yellow and black spots on her back whimpered as the white and ginger kit climbed over her, and batted at her sister's ears. But her blows were helpless and weak, as she was currently blind and "uneducated".

ooc; kk, but who is the jet black kit? I didn't get his name..

OOC: her name is Midnightkit

IC:Minnowtail smiled at all seven of her and Viperfangs kits. "Lets name them. I think the jet black one with the silver spot under her eyes should be Midnightkit, and the other black on should be Sagekit, and the dark Gray one should be Stormkit." She purred and licked each kit gently on the head.

The newly named Midnightkit meowed and squirmed around her siblings looking for milk. She buckled on her mother then went to explore. She climbed out of the nest and crawled over to her father. She cuddled up against his legs and purred sweetly.

The newly named Stormkit mewed and tried to get closer to Minnowtail.

Minnowtail purred and nudged Stormkit closer to her. She gazed at the soon to be named Pinekit, and Midnightkit.

Soon to be named Cobrakit squirmed a bit and stayed close to her mother her eyes still closed.

Soon-to-be-named Heatherkit latched on to her mother and began drinking. Warm milk passed her teeth, and the kit swallowed for the first time.

Soon-to-be-named Sorrelkit frowned as her sister pushed between her and her mother's milk, and instead moved toward Viperfang. "Da.." she gurgled in a kit-like way. "Da.. Dada.. Dada!" Sorrelkit purred her first word, and snuggled against her father's large paw.

Viperfang purred with delight at his mate's reply, and once all the kits were born, he brought them close to her again so they could all be in the middle. Then he curled around them like his mate, not bothered by the cold dirt floor as his tail intwined with his mates. "They're beautiful names. Well picked." He commented, quietly observing the rest with a bit of trepidation. He'd never had a chance of name his kits before. This was really all new for him. "If you don't mind me naming some, I think Pinekit would suit this tom. His fur reminds me of their bark. Heatherkit for the sweetling who seems to cling to you without a care in the world. And this she-kit, the one who takes after me, Cobrakit." But he was interrupted when one of the she-kit's called out to him. Curling up against his paw in a way that tugged firmly on his heart strings. "Sorrelkit. I mean, I don't know why that name came to mind, but it just feels write. If that's okay with you, of course?"
