One Humongous Border Patrol

Shadepaw himself buried his prey quickly before leaping away, looking for more prey. Luckily it was almost if not already Greenleaf, so prey was abundant, and it didn't take him long to locate his next target. A simple small snake, one that was edible and small enough to catch. Crouching, he copied the snakes movements as it slithered around, perhaps sneaking up on something. A mouse or something too tiny to be very filling, probably. But Shadepaw just wanted the snake.
Bunching his muscles, he bolted forward, taking no further hesitation in leaping on the snake and biting down on its neck. It fell limp instantly, and Shadepaw plucked it up in his jaws, carrying it back to bury with his other piece of prey.

Smokepaw was on her way into a thicker brush area. She crept along keep her paws steps light to not disturb any prey. Finally her yellow eyes caught sight of a lizard crawling along the grass. The smokey tabby crouched down, and crept forward closing in on the lizard, the springing forward to catch the prey. She had caught the lizard, and swiftly killed it. She picked up her prey, and took it back towards Sagestar. "I caught three pieces Sagestar. Smokepaw mewed happily.

Sagestar looked rather surprised, holding back a look of sharp pleasure at the same time. "Well done, Smokepaw!" He meowed. The she-cat seemed to have a natural talent for hunting. All of them did, that or all the prey were slow on their wits today, but he'd like to not think about that. He nodded to the she-cat in praise, and then to Shadepaw and Nightpaw - to them as well~.
He paused and sat down, glancing across the Thunderpath and at the ThunderClan border - and at the SkyClan border in the distance. Sagestar frowned, trying to tell if the scent was still stale or not from here.

Shadepaw perked his ears as he heard a "Well done". Racing back, his tail drooped when he saw Smokepaw had won. "Mouse dung! I was so close too!" He huffed, smiling. "Well, congratulations, Smokepaw! Does she win anything?"

Ic: Nightpaw was still hunting, wanting to be careful about her next piece of prey. A small toad caught her attention, and she slowly moved toward it. She paused, frowning. Why did she have a suddenly feeling that she lost? Eh, whatever, she liked the Elders. Pushing that random thought from her mind, she leaped forward her teeth bared. The toad suddenly hopped from the spot without a warning, causing the apprentice to let out a small cry as she hit the ground, rolling head over tail before landing in a small pile. She sighed as she rolled herself to her paws with a frown. She might as well figure out if she had lost. Spinning, she raced toward where Sagestar was waiting and sighed sadly when she noticed that Shadepaw and Smokepaw was already there. "I lost?" she whispered, before shrugging. "Oh, well, good game."
