One Humongous Border Patrol

"I'm willing to play a game too! I love playing games!" Nightpaw pipped up as she padded along with the group.

Occ: Lazy.

Shadepaw bounced up next to Nightpaw in line. "A game sounds fun! It'll definitely lighten the mood after the Thunderpath. Even I was a little scared of that thing." He purred happily.

A game? Interesting, I suppose. Nothing to lose. "Sure, I'm up for it." Darkpaw purred, leaning against Nightpaw. is it a mating game? DB

"Alright, it's pretty simple~." Sagestar mused, walking on and approaching ThunderClan territory. He kept an ear out for any sign of patrol, but he doubted that they'd see warriors this late out. Seeing Raccoonstar alone was a huge surprise. "Lets make this a good opportunity to see what hunting skills you have." He meowed, "Before we get home, the first one the catch three pieces of prey wins and gets to pick first out of the fresh-kill pile. The last one gets to check the elders for fleas."

Smokepaw jumped up, and started heading inward. "I won't let you down Sagestar." She called back, before running into a separate part of the territory near a really pondish area. She didn't want to have competition in her area. Slowly the apprentice walked around the area treading carefully making sure not to disturb any prey that might be apparent. Smokepaw froze as she heard a croak from a frog cross her ears. Slowly she lowered herself to the ground. Slowly she crept up to the frog, and leapt.

The apprentice sat up a frog in her mouth. She perked up as she had made her first catch! She didn't know exactly what to do with it so she just held on to it until she found another piece of prey.

Hunting? Nightpaw blinked, before grinning. She could do that. She broke away from her sister and went racing into the territory before slowing down to a steady trot. Her mouth was open for the hint of prey. The sweet scent of toad reached her nose, and with a grin she crouched down and started to pull herself forward toward what could be a nice meal. A soft brown toad sat on the marshy ground; not moving, just...sitting there. With a grin, she waited a few seconds before leaping at her prey. The toad noticed her just seconds before she landed, but by then it was to late. She pinned the toad down and quickly killed it before picking it up her jaws. One down, two to go. However; she didn't really care if she lost. She liked to take care of the elders; they always told great stories.

Shadepaw raced away as soon as the orders were given. However, he didn't know why they were hunting so close to Thunderclan territory. Wasn't the Thunderpath dangerous to be by, let alone hunting by? Not that he really cared, as he loved to play games like this.
Spotting a nearby frog, the grey tabby crouched, eyes locking onto it. He began to creep forward, using the shadows to his advantage despite the group not having had Hunting Training yet and slinking towards the amphibian undetected.

Leaping forward, Shadepaw pinned the frog just as it turned around, and killed it quickly by digging his claws into the back of its neck, Picking it up in his jaws, he brought it back to Sagestar and dropped it down, nodding to his leader. "Can we just leave them over here?" He asked.

Sagestar laughed quietly under his breath in amusement at Smokepaw's eagerness as she ran off to look for prey. He kept a close eye on them all, but other than that, was simply enjoying pacing along his deputy as the young cats ran off to try their skills. It was, to his huge surprise, that the first three had returned, all with fresh prey in their jaws. "Wow." The leader said at first, honestly a little dumbfounded before clearing his throat. "I'm impressed with you all~ Yes. Just bury them in the mud and we'll get them on the way back." He said, padding off again. He paused when the wind switched directions and blew their way, bringing the sharp scent of ThunderClan over the reek of the Thunderpath.

Nightpaw nodded, quickly bounding over to a stray bush and buried her prey; an easy spot to remember. Her paws barely made any noise as she went back to hunting, her mouth open for anything. Suddenly movement flickered in the corner of her eye; turning to find a lizard just...sitting there. Huh; well that was lucky. She slowly couched down and pulled herself forward; hoping the lizard wouldn't notice her. She hadn't had lizard in forever... With a small smile, she leaped. The lizard didn't even notice her until she was ontop of it. She quickly killed it and picked it up in her jaws, before bounding back to her bush and buried it, looking around wondering if Shadepaw and Smokepaw was having the same luck as her.

Smokepaw was padding along the territory keeping a sharp eye out for any time of movement. When she finally noticed some movement. It turned out to be another frog. Slowly the apprentice crouched, keeping her feet steady and light, as she moved along towards the frog. When she got close enough she pounced onto the frog.Once she had the frog trapped, she swiftly killed it, and took it back to Sagestar, and the area where the other prey was.
