PostThis is Serious, Please Look

Lately, I've been noticing how much cussing has been going on here. And for some reason, it's making me uncomfortable. Such as last night, somebody was on (and I'm not going to point fingers), and pretty much every sentence, they said a bad word. Now, this wouldn't be a problem if they actually CENSORED IT. But the way they were "censoring," I could read the word perfectly fine because either they spelled it a different way, or used some symbol/letter/number to replace one letter in the word.

I decided to go back and look at the rules, originally made by Mistpelt, this site's creator. One of the rules says, "No Swearing." There are no exceptions here, nothing that says, "You can do it in the chatbox, you can do it in OoC's, you can censor it." It simply says No Swearing.

Most likely, I'm going to be flamed for this. But for me, I am putting my foot down on the cussing. If you're on the chatbox while I am, and you cuss without regular censoring using *'s, I will kick you. I know Jay has this rule that a couple of words can be said, but it's not in the actual rules, and he hasn't made it official. Plus, I don't think any of us want to really overrule what Mistpelt has said.

I'm done. Please don't make hate mail. Thank you.

I hate cursing. <->
glad someone agrees, cause once upon a time I was 9, and if i didn't go ahead and ditch you guys, then i guess we survived the era of non-cursing.

we can do that again.

I love how Pebble just comes in here and makes a decision all by herself as though she's in charge/has authority

Oh, Pebble, I heard what you did. Not funny.

I'm going to repeat something I've said countless times on this site. Why can't we all just act civilized? Honestly, when you look at it, cussing isn't necessary. It even takes away from the focus of this site.
But I respect some peoples' choice to cuss. As I've said, I don't mind if people insist on cussing. I can't stop you; it's the Internet. But let's respect the site's rules, and if you really want to cuss, use astericks (*[as in plural, not just one in the middle of the word]) or some other symbol that does not suggest the letter you're replacing in any way, because that's not really cussing.

Honestly. I know I've cursed on the cbox before. Most of us have. But I try hard to censor. I think it's kinda stupid that kids who are 9 and 10 *coughcough*Pebble*coughcough* use it so much. I know I wasn't when I was that age. I'd get soap in the mouth. I don't cuss that often on the cbox much anymore because I've been trying to use better words. You guys should too *coughcough*Pebble*coughcough* >>

Because we already have enough people with authority.

If anyone doesn't like this, please, look up topics from 2 years back. See the difference?

Rain, Goldy, Ebs, and all other mods? I suggest we take extreme measures to make sure this works this time xP

Aren't bad? They're just the start of getting into other words. *is about to sound religious*

Damn and Hell can be used if in their proper term, such as saying, "Well, I'll be damned." Or "Eternal damnation" or talking about hell as in a place.

What is TOS?
