Waspswarm held her head proud as Wolfstar called her name. It was tiresome to come to this Gathering, but Waspswarm couldn't pass up the opportunity to come and hear her name announced to all of the clans.

Quailprowler was glad this month was more quiet. As usual, she sat in her spot and kept an eye out for any unusual apprentices.

Leopardstar stepped forward, channeling a confidence she hoped could reach her eyes. The conspicuous absence of a ShadowClan representative in the shadow of the Great Rock told more than any words she could say.

Still, she had no choice but to speak. "The events of last month's Gathering were an unforeseen tragedy, with Juniperhunt losing her life in this very clearing--and still ShadowClan presses on. We have managed to recover as well as any cat could expect, and so ShadowClan remains strong."
