Hickorysmoke had learned more about his clanmates than he ever cared to admit, during his forced stay in camp. His leg was on the mend though and that meant he could escape this prison, although he was advised not to go out of camp alone. He quickly hobbled through the camp rushing to escape, but his grandmother stood between him and the exit. Quickly he looked around, his orange gaze landed on his half sibling’s kit. “Foxsnap, hurry up lets go!” He quickly hissed before smiling and walking past Wolfstar.

He didn’t care if the younger tom followed or not, Hickorysmoke just needed it to seem like he had a cat going with him. His nephew did follow though. “Um, I had plans on hunting. You can join if you want.” He mewed as he went further into the forest.

Hickorysmoke’s call made him jump a little bit, pulling Foxsnap out of the reverie he’d fallen into between bites of his squirrel. He turned to blink curiously over before the words finally processed in his head. A random summoning…? His eyes slid over Hickorysmoke’s wounded leg. He did need escorts, didn’t he? Foxsnap pushed his squirrel over to the others he’d been eating with and rose to his paws. With a roll of his shoulders, he padded over and let Hickorysmoke lead the way out of camp.

”Hunting? With that injury?” He sniffed before he could think better of it. Foxsnap winced a bit inwardly and looked away, toward the treetops. ”I mean, uh… good luck with that.” He didn’t look at Hickorysmoke again before peeling off to pursue the prey scents mingled in the leaf-litter. It didn’t take long to pick up the trail of a mouse and follow along it. Though he laid eyes on the creature, the wind shifted just as he grew close enough to crouch. Scenting him on the air, it squealed and scuttled away, disappearing into a nearby hole. With a snort, Foxsnap returned, sulking, to his uncle.
